Wilfried Zaha has opened up about his "hell" at Man Utd and said his time at Old Trafford made him "down and depressed".

The winger signed for United as a teenager after playing a big part in Crystal Palace's promotion back to the Premier League in 2013.

"Obviously, getting to United isn't easy, so not being given a chance is hard to take," he told The Sun.

"I don't regret anything because it made me stronger. I feel as though I can deal with anything now.

"I went through so much with United, with England. There were rumours that the reason I wasn't playing for United was because I slept with David Moyes's daughter, and no one attempted to clear that up.

"So I was fighting my demons by myself, these rumours that I knew weren't true."

Bernd Leno says he is ready to build on his Arsenal debut and push to become first-choice goalkeeper after a "frustrating" start to life at the club.

The 26-year-old joined the Gunners from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer but had to wait for Thursday's 4-2 Europa League win over Vorskla Poltava to make his debut.

Asked if he had been frustrated at being made to wait to make his debut, Leno replied: "Of course, because I came to the club to play every game.

"But I think to move to a bigger club, another country, it needs maybe a little bit of time. It is a little bit frustrating but I keep calm and work very hard to improve."
