These days jobs are difficult to come by. It‘s a general Nigerian problem, and not peculiar to the field of Geology/Geophysics(Did your brother study Geology also?). Nevertheless, there are so much opportunities out there, both within and outside the country. I would advise you face your studies for now, to ensure you graduate with good grades, gather information on your field as much as possible(like what you are doing on this forum), and trust God too. I don‘t think you are in the wrong place.

Short of words, I'm a young aspirant of Geology nd Geoscience, But with all what i'm seeing here, Just took away my topmost interest, I don't want a situation whereby after graduatin from school,gettin a Job wil be diffilcult, I dont want to be like my elder brother after schooling no Job, I wish i could make a change of course, So what is the intend to study Geology as discipline
