Maybe you have not been following their news with attention because if you do you will note that they keep saying they are not stopping any election (is IPOB INEC to start with?) that they are only boycotting the election. Anybody reporting otherwise is only trying to sensationalise the news. |

Very soon now this will become a culture. Look at the way they are proud of what they are doing, to the extent that a mother is helping her two sons to commit fraud.
Our authorities need to stop extorting money from these people and start making sure they pay for their crimes. |

Akanniade: Keep dreaming. War chest speaks in these things. DSTV has been lobbying governments since inception. Lobbying which government? Please. What speaks is money, most of those licences are quite expensive and it is assumed that we won't agree to pay for such contents. Do you know that most satellite TVs in Nigeria do not have licence to show CNN? they show it through the back door. Is not because they are denied but because the its expensive. Kwese have an exclusive deal with ROKU TV in Africa and you know Roku TV shows almost every TV contents in the world. Kwese is the best thing yet to happen to Africans in Africa in terms of TV contents. Anyway, just brace yourself for change have come in paytv as we know it. Google Kwese TV for more details. |

BedLam: Not sure If they can pay for real time shows. And what do you mean by Nigerian content? I want real action not movies in Jamaica or sun City. By Nigeria content I meant Bollywood, EPL and Champion leagues. Tv does not revolve around this contents but it seems to be all they think we need in this country. Kwese have entrepreneurship programs that are top notch, programs like Shark Tank and The Profit. Those in diaspora will know it. They also show other sports like formula 1, WWE and basket ball. |

Naijastatesman9: I think the CBN is on track.
I remember reading some months ago that much of the efforts to end the recession has come from the CBN in the form of monetary policy actions, but that there needs to be increased fiscal activity from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Budget and Planning. As there have been recent boosts by these ministries. I think things will continue to improve. I hope so. |

dotun365: Treating the wound takes time. in the main time if you don't dress the wound, It'll get infected and in no time there will be no injury to treat because there will be no leg. I don't mean dressing the wound in that light. I mean just covering it with bandage or plaster without cleaning the surface and applying ointments. It will only fester the wound. I just hope they know what they are doing anyway but I highly doubt that. |

KemjikaEme: I thought you wanted to debate civily? What shows that you have evolved as a human being? Last time i checked,we were both debating about Lagos and the right to contest elections. It's only a child that will back track in a heated discourse and spew all sorts of illogical views. Everything you've written from leaving on trees to being disorganized has long been debunked on this forum, so i wouldn't spare my time debunking it all over. But for the sake of the public, Republican Government and tying wrappers is not sinonlmous to Uncivilization. Every African group had it's civilization, culture, government and religion before Western civilization. I rather find it ridiculous and a huge pointer to inferiority complex that Black Africans celebrate Western civilization when in real terms, all Africans are Apes to the racist White man. It is every more ridiculous that you glorify their civilization and use it as a standard for judging other Nigerians. No reasonable Nigerian will gloat over seeing the White man first or consider the government system of his neighbours as inferior and primitive. Those are racist tendencies and standards set by the white men. It just like stating that Africans with White features are more evolved than people with Negriod features. I weep for the Black man's stuppidty! Lived on trees and walked about naked! Lmao! Is one thing to see a white be that ignorant about Africans, is another thing to see a fellow black trying to use that line to score cheap points. Like seriously! Like you said, it reeks of inferiority complex and total lack of facts to continue a civil argument. |

Afam4eva: I noticed this while in Owerri. Landed properties are really expensive down there and i kinda understand why it's expensive. My uncle just sold his plot in our village at Anambra #3.5m. My village is a remote village without tarred road. Will they have mind to buy such? |
Politics › Re: Alaba International Market Shut Down As Obosi Leads Igbo Coalition For APC by slendxy: 10:30am On Jul 22, 2017 |
Afam4eva: Thanks for reeling it out.
Now, do you have any proof that the SW sells more landed properties to outsiders than the SE outside what you hear some people saying that Igbos don't sell lands to outsiders? Have you had a personal experience in this regard? I'm not saying such things don't happen in the SE but i don't see how it's worse or less than what happens in other regions. Igbos cannot be touted for been money hungry and not see the opportunity to sell land to people and make money and not do so because of tribal gibberish. We have to stick with one story about the Igbos. it's either we love money more than life or we don't. Which is it?
As far as your second point goes, let's just agree to disagree that you're referring to lagos and not the SW/ if you think otherwise, i'll like you to tell us states that have appointed Igbos in political positions in other SW states. bare in mind that a Yoruba man was in the cabinet of Chimaroake Nnamani at some point.
Mind you, i'm not saying Yorubas are not accomodating. I just dont fancy the fact that people throw it around like othe regions are any worse. Landed property is expensive in the South East but other tribes sees this as shutting them out of buying land in SE instead of seeing it for what it is; Igbos value landed property. The prize is not high because you are Yoruba or Hausa. Not many people have the gut to invest in real estate as the Igbos. They want us to sell our land to them kobo kobo before they know we sell to other tribes. |

Every policy is to force the poor masses to contribute more and more in this country while the political elites just keep syphoning money abroad and sending their children abroad without care for our country. With the rate this people are going, they will only end up making the poor masses to hate this country. Everybody should reject this new policy no matter how good they present it, if not for anything else, for a civil disobedience that challenges the government to lead by example. |

I just learnt a new thing from this thread, that the population of men are more than women in the world. One of the greatest problem we have in this part of the world is that we assume a lot of things and defend it with total and unabashed authority as if we researched it. Thanks to all those who helped in correcting this misconception on this thread. |
