Confirmed... saw the news from @MatsangaDr Military coup in Congo at this moment. The country's president is in New York, the military is taking control of key facilities in the capital. Congo borders the Central African Republic, where there is a strong Russian presence. |
vowiski:I've love VP Osinbajo to be the president even for few months....so let there be interim government. That's the only solution to these Inec and judiciary shame shambles. And a buy time for a re-run. |
In my humble submission, a winner shouldn't be announced...rather, Let there be a re-run. for fairness and justice and equity. |
Chucks13:It's glaring that you'll are blindfolded to the Nigerian system and shambles with their rule of law ...... guess you're a type seeking for justice to be served tomorrow in favour of PO.... no doubt but know this that injustice anywhere could be injustice everywhere. You'll didn't speak out to the injustice to the rule of law because it's Mazi Nnamdi Kanu but you're all seeking for justice to who if I may ask?...once again, sorry ooo ![]() |
Epilitilomo:For your mind naaa they'll declare PO as winner ...sorry oh! |
As we all are aware, Judgment on Presidential Election Petition will be delivered tomorrow, the 6th day of September 2023 at the Court of Appeal Abuja Division. For those expecting wonders to happen in Court tomorrow, you may have a quagmire to contend with. During my undergraduate days as a Law student, we were taught even in Law School, that decisions of the courts on any subject must be predicated on the following: A. The Substantive Laws; B. Rules of Court and Courts Practice Direction; and C. Judicial Precedents – in this case, it means the Judgment/decisions of the Superior Courts, particularly the Supreme Court's Judgments on similar subjects, facts, and circumstances. Any Judgment founded outside the above considerations cannot stand in Law. Fast forward to the 13th day of October, 2022, the intermediate Court in the land, the Court of Appeal, Abuja Judicial Division delivered a unanimous landmark Judgment in an Appeal filed by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wherein the Court of Appeal discharged Mazi Nnamdi Kanu of all the frivolous charge filed against him and consequently, directed the Federal Government to release him unconditionally. The penultimate Court proceeded to prohibit Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s further detention in any detention facility in Nigeria and forbade Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from being tried again in any Court in Nigeria on any offence whatsoever. The penultimate Court did not stop at that; the Learned Justices of the Court of Appeal unanimously reprimanded the Federal Government for their act of lawlessness in the way Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was abducted in Kenya and extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria. They further declared it as an egregious violation of the extant Laws – local and international – by the Federal Government of Nigeria. Curiously, on the 24th October, 2022, a different Panel of Justices of the same Court of Appeal, was constituted, which sat and consequently granted an unprecedented Order, Staying the Execution of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s constitutionally guaranteed right to personal liberty. Intrinsically, staying the Execution of the same Judgment and far-reaching Orders made by the same Court. The fact is that throughout the said Ruling delivered on the 28th day of October, 2022, and argument canvassed by the parties giving rise to the Ruling; there was no place that the Federal Government referred to any criminal decisions of either the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court in similar facts, if any, or substantive criminal Laws governing the criminal appeals or Court of Appeal Criminal Practice Direction. We refer to the unpopular Ruling as unprecedented because the precedents and authorities relied upon by this Panel in staying the execution of the judgment in a criminal appeal, were all civil cases and the Court of Appeal Rules on civil appeals. Tomorrow, a very renowned Justice of the Court of Appeal who presided over the Panel that delivered this unprecedented Ruling and consequently granted the unpopular order staying the execution of the landmark Judgment in Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s criminal appeal; and who incidentally, also presided over the proceedings at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, will also be delivering his own judgement. In view of the fate of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the obvious travesty of justice in his case, we can only wish those hoping that justice prevails tomorrow, godspeed, even as all eyes are now on the Judiciary. |

On Jibril from Sudan, I'm not alleging anything but Here’s a timeline of Buhari’s health travels: February 5, 2016 Buhari embarked on a six-day medical vacation to London. June 6, 2016 Buhari takes to the skies for a 10-day medical vacation. Presidency says Buhari has to travel to deal with a “persistent ear infection”. January 19, 2017 Buhari is off to London again on a medical vacation. February 5, 2017 Buhari writes the national assembly, asks lawmakers to extend his London medical leave. March 10, 2017 Buhari returns to Nigeria but doesn’t resume work immediately. Presidency says “he’s working from home”. May 7, 2017 Buhari embarks on trip to London for another medical vacation. He returned to Nigeria after 104 days. Yes 104 DAYS. That was how long Buhari spent in London with no information whatsoever as to what was wrong with him, what he was treated of and how much was spent treating him. Then on August 19, 2017, Buhari returned to Nigeria and it took him a while to resume work because rats have reportedly damaged furnitures in his office after which the Presidency announced that he’ll be working from home. I'm still not alleging anything but one cannot help but observe that the Buhari that emerged from the 104 days of total information blackout has suddenly become so strong that since August of 2017, an 80 years man that was traveling for medical tourism every two months has not gone for even check up in the past one year, 3 months. It's either he met Jesus who healed him in London or he's a Jubril from Sudan.... |

In a normal norm, men are the best cook. If you doubt it, check the chief chefs in most intercontinental hotels, they're mostly men. |
