Religion / On The Couch Musing About Some Islamic Doctrines. by slimbowwow(m): 7:26pm On Feb 10, 2018 |
On the couch musing about some major Islamic doctrines. 1- Early marriage. ( I mesmerized when Alhamin told me that as a matter of fact, that the emphasis is even that as a young girl, if your first menstrual experience is in your father's house the second must not). MARRIAGE = MULTIPLY 2- severe punishment for fornication and adultery. ( i asked this question when i heard the judge in cases like this is human like us- this was my question "Who will judge the judge peradventure the judge happened to be a culprit?" Human judging human in this political induced world. That's not where I'm driving at though. I think the pivot behind this idea is to inculcate fear in youths such that they would rather see marriage as a last resort for colossal Sexual urge rather than do it and loss both hands. MARRIAGE = MULTIPLY 3. You can send your initial wife packing if she won't acknowledge or welcome subsequent wives. Smart move, no woman will accept being axed from her husband's house, bitterly she will agree to the terms. MARRIAGE = MULTIPLY 4. You can marry your cousin. In Islam being cousins with someone does not stop you from getting married with them. I mean it's a welcomed move to purify the family blood line and to multiply. MARRIAGE = MULTIPLY 5. Females must cover their faces whether indoor or outdoor. Funny, this is solely to cause a psychological effect on males. As a grown up male, anytime you by mistake see mere hands of a female, this can make you have urge for her but seeing the point number 2 above would make you consider marriage. MARRIAGE =MULTIPLY 6. Love is a second order condition for marriage, what comes first is readiness, in terms of first come first serve ideology. The first man to bring the bride requirements will emerge the favored suitor. MARRIAGE = MULTIPLY Conclusion - I think the man that started this has his own personal and selfish vision. Which i think is to enlarge the religion. To make the religion surpass orthodox religions in terms of population. We generation of nowadays can have a rethink of this before venturing into marriage. Let us have a civilized approach to this, by ensuring the necessary resources are on ground before leaping the wall. AWAL is my name. 1 Like 1 Share |

You just clothed the economy with a suicide vest. The economy current account is sunk already (M>X). A myriad of foreign indebtedness is afoot, you still dance to the tune of US bipolar trap. That's what they want, create political instability in Africa. If there's no crisis who will buy their guns. Welcome to the new era of neo classical slavery. |

ON A CLARION CALL IN THE NORTH. At times, we are locked in the dilemma to finding a good balance between religion and economy situation of the country. If we can get an optimum compromise it is better. Early marriage is a big problem of Northern Nigeria, a problem fueled by religion belief. Check out the chain ( Early marriage > High birthrate > Population increase > High dependency ratio > Low per capital income > Poverty > Diseases > High death rate ). Of what marginal benefit is high birthrate which cycling ends at high death rate? High population should be a blessing but Nigeria is not ready. NIGERIA is not spelt CHINA. |

I shook my head for this country when I received this message from Access bank. Although a layman would feel like an ant inside a pyramid of sugar but not me. An erudited intellectual economist. Ok, here is the simplification of the scenario. Let's say my Father gave iya Kudi 19800 to give me when they met in Abuja in May. Instead of handling over the money to me, Iya Kudi however, PLANTED the money on Mama Acciata's farm based on the negotiated rate of interest afoot. Unfortunately for me, there is a wide communication lacuna between me and my dad at present. The funniest part of everything is that Mama Acciata contacted me yesterday to know if I'm interested in applying for the money inform of loan/advance. (With an undisclosed interest rate), the money that was supposed to be in my possession. In the first place. They heat the water to make the tea hot, then they put ice in it to make it cold, then they put lemon in it to make it sour, and then they put sugar in it to make it sweet. |

It is indeed a cacophonous infidelity that the
management of the National Youth Service Corps
(Gombe) has failed to ensure the payment of its
corps members's allawee. None of the chiefs in
charge has shown any concern or atleast a
manner of accountability. So therefore, it is in
respect of the above that I call on my fellow
corps members to braze up to the situation and
act fast, through a legitimate means. It is our
entitlement and we have to fight for it... Though
some of us might be comfortable even without
19,800 but we should also have in mind that
there a alot of us that depend wholeheartedly on
that. Our colleagues in other states have already
spent their's. I hereby, call it a fight for all. #

Investment / Money Mobilization Machine - Mmm by slimbowwow(m): 10:01pm On Dec 17, 2016 |
MMM - Money Mobilization Machine. Not just as a graduate of economics, but as a bonafide economist I can not afford to keep my hand akimbo on the prevailing default of MMM. The big question that got me mused since the declaration of MMM as frozen is... " Is MMM a blessing or a curse"? As a student that wrote a project on the topic " the determinants of poverty in Ogbagi Akoko" and also once wrote a proposal on "the impact of private domestic savings on Nigeria's economic growth" I want to believe that the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been deceiving us on the notion that savings habit of Nigerians is very bad. Which they said has made the capital mobilization a mediocrity. We all know saving serves as a tool for capital formulation towards financing aggregate investment. However, it has been revealed through MMM haywireness that a myriad number of the country's labour force are into MMM, this report shows that Nigerians have a reasonable saving faculty and habit and can do away with part of their income that is not needed for current consumption for 30 days or 30 months. 3 Million Nigerians will Lose Over N18.765billion if MMM crash... Nigerians can save if the interest is interesting. Thus, having observed the whole predicaments, the need is felt by me to enjoin the government as well as financial institutions to access the viability of domestic savings by providing mouth watering incentives for savings through interest standardization to refine, rebuild, reshape, re-engineer, reconstruct, restructure and revamp the Nigeria economy. According to Machlinion, saving is not determined by income as postulated by Keynes but it is determined by real interest rate, although his thesis is arguable as savings is a function of income as well as interest rate and other variables that are stochastic. As capital formation through savings mobilization is an important factor in economic growth, countries that are able to accumulate high level of capital, tend to achieve faster rates of economic growth and development. However, borrowing from abroad is not a proper strategy for economic growth and sustainable development.... It is a cold war weapon the west is using against our beloved country, as it may not only have adverse effects on the balance of payment as these loans will have to be serviced in the future, but also carries a foreign exchange risk. Borrowing from abroad is a neo-colonialism time bomb. MMM has made it glaringly obvious that Nigerians can save. I Wale Johnson urges the federal government to create a robust interest rate and allow savings to stimulate capital investment as it is a necessary condition for economic growth and development. #WJ 1 Like |

I've been a punter for quite some time now and I've won some of my bets but lost most of them. I got frustrated and decided to quit. After quitting I applied as an agent with a top betting company in Nigeria. Well it was when I got approved and started my shop that I understood the deep secrets of betting. With the loads of secrets I have in my hands now I don't lose again. Who says there is nothing like sure bets? Wait till you get into the business. Most times winning your bets is not about knowing the best team but there are things I can't reveal to the public because that will mean betraying my paymasters.
