Politics / Re: China Loan: Amaechi Says "No Need To Panic, Nigeria Is Already Paying Back" by Slimpotter(m): 4:47pm On Aug 02, 2020 |
abduljabbar4: China has never colonized nor sabotaged our industries but it's the Chinese that are bad. I see that Nigerians are sinophobic and are very ignorant, hating on the Chinese for no good reason, they act like the west ever cared for us. |

MacPython: So you're the only Nigerian living in China? How come I don't hear all these complaints from my friends who stay there or who schooled there, or their opinions doesn't count? |

MacPython: OK I'll tell you why, since you never asked. Twitter was used by western powers to whip up protests against the Chinese leadership, and for a party who's busy looking for ways to lift it's people out of poverty, political instability as seen in Libya and Iraq is not a welcome idea. So yes it's good they banned it if it will preserve their political climate. So if you're angry that the Chinese government value the welfare of their people than freedom, then sorry o, no apologies. It is that freedom that we have in Nigeria, how has it helped us. Meanwhile I see you bringing tiktok into this, what's my own, you can hold unto your beliefs without trying to downgrade mine. And you too should go and learn and research, atleast I've countered your points. I'm yet to see you accuse the Chinese government of anything the western hypocrites have not done, just call one thing China has done and let me point you to where your western powers have done worse. |

MacPython: OK o, if you don't agree, it's fine. While the Chinese too are not so perfect in their ways atleast they're less evil minded than the west, you agree or not, it's fine. |

MacPython: I bet you know alot of electronics and household appliances you use come from China, I'm sure you have atleast some Chinese products in your home, you can as well stop using them, since we're going by your logic. Besides a Chinese owns tiktok which is widely used in the west, but tiktok have consistently denied being a tool of the Chinese government but western powers will never agree. So there alot of apps we use that are Chinese made too, the west doesn't have monopoly have knowledge as they always claim to show |

MacPython: So because of you I should now disable my social media? What's the difference between those people deflecting corruption in the Niger delta and what you just said. Because some people feel the north is taking more from their oil resources that's why they'll shift the nddc corruption aside It's the same thing as saying because our government is stealing from us, we should now keep quiet when we talk about the theft of our natural resources from the west? If you don't know how the west became so powerful and rich I expect you to read instead of coming to unnecessarily argue about it. |

MacPython: What indoctrination, please, if anyone has been indoctrinated it's you. I actually prefer Trump to his former predecessors, he's yet to start a war against any country unlike his predecessors. I used his actions as an example, if you can't look at the instances I give and you prefer asserting your ideas on emotions, then no need pushing forward my narrative. What I simply said is, they can't be busy accusing Beijing of trying to exert control on HongKong when during the months of protest, Beijing never took any action even though they have an army garrison in HongKong. But it didn't take Trump days before he sent the national guard to quell the protests and rioting. So I don't understand, if both protests involved destruction of infrastructure and rioting, why is one labelled a riot by Trump and the other one labelled freedom fighting? If you don't see the double standards then you're clearly the one that's indoctrinated. |

MacPython: And again, I'm sorry that I can't join you in siding with people who used wars and theft to grow their economy and become superpowers, except you want to justify stealing, let them return all they stole. I'm sure the Congolese people who were punished for not meeting up to the demands of a Belgian king would love to hear from you on how the west has helped them too. |

MacPython: What's happening in HongKong is the west trying to interfere in China's business. No matter how you try to put it or try to paint the west as good people and the Chinese as bad people, let them keep their hands off HongKong. All through the protests, the Chinese government didn't lift a finger, compare that with Trump's reaction to the black lives matter protest. There's no way you try to put it. That HongKong protest was externally influenced. |

temmypotter: You just sit in your own comfort criticising what you don't understand. Do you think they have time for nonsense. Do you know how many people have lost jobs and means of living a better life because of corruption. China is not America, there's no where they said China must copy America. Countries execute criminals who carry drugs, because they understand the severity of the crime, so corruption is also deserving of such actions. People have lost their lives because of government corruption, you see a government acting and you began comparing them to America. |

Heathrow44: Nah I don't think so. China doesn't interfere in another country's politics, except if you have any information to the contrary, they simply don't. And alot of attacks they've been receiving from the west are based on unfounded lies. Amongst the US and the west, China is still a saint, they didn't steal another country's wealth to become a superpower, can't say same for the west. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: China To Retaliate As US Closed Its Consulate In Houston, Texas by Slimpotter(m): 8:10am On Jul 27, 2020 |
MacPython: I still don't know why you think the Chinese are not innovative, they're leading in global innovation only second to US, does it mean they copied everything? The US and the west had better economies before China and contributed in stealing from China too, remember the opium war. So to me I wonder why these countries after stealing as they like from China in the past are now complaining of intellectual property theft. Our art works and sculptures are in the museums of the west and they're yet to return them but are busy accusing another country of stealing, I know who the real thieves are. And don't think they can't place sanctions on us, try threatening their influence then see how they treat you. Just because of their interest in Africa they were plotting to remove Adeshina even after he has been cleared, how's that following due process, they just want to bully their way through everything. And I don't know why you say the Chinese are not given freedom for innovation, try checking them out you'll understand. And as for Tiananmen square massacre, I've never seen a very twisted and one sided story as what on happened on Tiananmen. The only picture the west always shows us is a civilian standing in front of a tank, where are the other pictures? They were international journalists there and they couldn't capture the soldiers that were burnt alive by the civilians. You guys should be mindful of what you read from the western media, they're yet to show us the weapons of mass destruction that Saddam Hussein had. |
