This farmer's case has been in court since 2014.... he just got sentenced in October 2017... over 3 years in court.

Evans did a couple of armed robberies... yes... but they would prove have to prove it in court.

Evans did a lot of kidnappings, the police asked for 3 - 4 months to carry out investigations and gather evidence. Now Evans has been formally charged to court.

Lagos State kidnapping law has the "death penalty" included in it.

Evans is likely going to get life imprisonment or the death penalty (like Rev. King who was rich when he was arrested).

The issue is that he used a gun to rob and he injured his victim with clear intent... the law stipulates penalty for that crime which is called... "ARMED" robbery.

The money or handset is not the issue.

It is better to steal on paper or fraudulently than to use gun to steal... one is a white collar crime, while the other is a violent crime.

If I am going to steal, I would steal like fraudsters and politicians and not like ARMED robbers.
