The Nigerian Government has threatened to suspend all social media platforms that allow their apps to be used to propagate division of the country through inflammatory statements or posts. The Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed stated this before the House of Representative on Tuesday June 22 at the National Assembly in Abuja while answering questions on the ban on Twitter, a microblogging site. He said Twitter made its platform available as a choice for people who want to destabilise and cause disunity in Nigeria. “We want Twitter to be registered first in the country before they can operate,” he said. On whether any channel of dialogue had been opened with Twitter, the minister said “We tried to but they rebuffed us. They are not known to us. They are not registered, but we hope we will be able to engage them”, as he lamented that the organisation had no investment in Nigeria, but in Ghana, while the target market was Nigeria. “There was no intention of the federal government to stifle free speech in the country. The only reason we suspended Twitter is that it was promoting disunity. Its activities are inimical to the unity of the country,” Mohammed insisted. He said the government would not hesitate to suspend other social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google hangout, and others if they are found to be promoting posts or statements capable of destabilising the country. Hmm this is serious! The question now is, What If The FG Successfully Ban Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp & Google In Nigeria (What Would You Do) Let’s hear from you. Lalasticlala Seun Rocktation |

It’s general knowledge that all those Lekki women that use to drive big Lexus jeep around are tagged “Sugar Mummy” and I know how we dreamed to have one sugar mummy now and then. So if those Lekki Women are the “Sugar Mummies“, what suitable name can we get for those Market Women that tied wrapper around the area? So Guys, let's hear some quite funny comments Lalasticlala let's this be fun |

Truly if we look at Nigeria as a whole, one will not argue that Nigeria shouldn't breakup. But let's be realistic, even if either Biafra or oduduwa breaks away from Nigeria, it's still d same type of corruption we will get from those in government. Nnamdi kanu, Sunday igboho are only fighting for their own names and gains. The only difference between them is kanu is a gainfully master coward who has brainwashed innocent disciples to die for his lost cause. while igboho is a confused stone hearted man who doesn't know what he's putting his hands into, he thinks this is still a modakeke and ife kind of war. I pity all their gullible followers, because many will die but yet they won't get the results of which they died for. I'm a yoruba guy but trust me, yoruba's are very lazy. Unlike the igbo's who already have businesses to venture into. We better think deeply before some fools makes us fight for a lost cause. |

peeps4u:media is doing more harms than politics itself, believe or not. And between my hatred for buhari is on another level, am only stating the obvious part |
Mrbenny001:sir, I detest buhari more than u do, I'm only saying the obvious part. I'm only saying what I have always noticed about politics, it's just like a chess game bystanders don't need to interfere |
When we start to understand what politics mean then we would start hating on unnecessary media news and not hate on those in politics. Meanwhile, for those clamoring for war, let's think about our loved ones. There are better ways we can make our voices heard, we can't fight the government, it will only bring only bloodsheds and tears. Just let's look at it like this, after the first Civil War in Nigeria, what was achieved? Nothing, only deaths of some thousands of families. I have passed my message. Peace |

Top of the day Yall Please I need your candid advise and opinions. I received a message that I have been scheduled for an interview tomorrow at bukka hut. I searched on Google and it seems legit considering the company name, popularity and address and others. But the problem here is I didn't apply at the company neither was the position applied for stated. And considering the recent kidnappings and other crimes ongoing in the country, is it advisable I honor the interview because I think using the name of a reputable company can be used to lure in unsuspecting victims or am I the one overreacting? I just need to be careful and safe. Your opinions and advise will go a long way, thanks. Find copied message below. |
