@ Ejiro. yes it advise able to be on ground because the Indian professionals and other white skinned peeps are here grabbing all the opportunities available. It means that hardly will a company leave thousands of professionals or otherwise on ground to recruit and start looking out to some body in his home country to bring on board. It happens most times but the chances are very very slim. So ones again I will advise u to come over and search job yourself.

Your friend should be the right person to answer your questions since he is procuring your visa , he has to make sure you are comfortable and fulfilled while in Dubai.

Not just coming in with but getting a sakes contact first is more important. Egusi, bitter leaf, crayfish. yams if u can pay the kg, garrison and others.

Yes u can depends on your contact.

Residency is best but it means u have to be self employed and that means u have to be sure of what to do that will be generating cash for u always or better still you work.

@ mystical, no sir. You may have to Google it up and make your choice they have quite a handful of foreign unis here in Dubai and expensive too.

chukwusi, ur chances are good, but the truth is luck and God plays a great role also. I have seen some niaja nurses who got job from home like 9, 7 years ago and some too that came in and got nursing jobs after much struggles. So its a chance thing. It is not automatic. Come in and try your luck.

I am not too sure for post graduate course but for degree, no u can't work. You can only work and do certificate programmes like safety and the likes. You may have to find out from your desired school if u can work study.

2 ways, u can use the available job sites in the use to search job, or you travel down yourself and search job. But I must warn that u may not be lucky enough to get your desired job for a start, so if u are keen about your profession, u may have to stick to your job in niaja if not, u can start with any available job and acquire the uae experience before switching over to your original love after 2 years.

Like I said before, it is best you are on ground to look for job yourself. Since u have a foreign certificate, u stand a better chance.

@Patlead, go to Google and search for job sites in the UAE, therein, you can search and see if u will find your signature job there. if not u may have to come and do an alternative job for the first 2 years while believing God for a change @ the expiration of your visa

500k is not much if it is genuine but if not, I usually advise people to come to Dubai on tourist visa and search job for themselves. Assuming the agent is a theif, you would have lost a whooping 500k but if you do it yourself and do not succeed in getting a job, at least u would have gained travel experience and prepare yourself better should u have the opportunity to visit again.

In all, be sure u are in a deal with a trusted fellow because Accommodation is usually given by the employer except otherwise, they will give cash.

I would have said its a good deal but for him to add accommodation, I am beginning to doubt his genuiety. Be sure that you know him and trust him wella before parting with such cash. However, if he is genuine, the rate is OK but usually your employer provides accommodation.

For aircraft Engineer, same process applies but I must warn that you will have to be twice as lucky to get such jobs in one go. How ever, there is nothing God cannot do.

For engineering jobs, except building and construction most of there oil firms are in Abu Dhabi not Dubai. All the same, you still have to be on ground to apply through job sites.

@ saved, pls. what sort of job and company is it that paid such salary. If you arrive and everything is true then u have nothing to worry about. You will over survive. pls . I am waiting.

yes it is possible to get for under 40s but you need a good agent that knows his job.

If you are serious on going, it means you have made up ur mind to do other jobs apart from your profession. For a start, you will have to leave your family behind, go to Dubai and hunt for the job. When and if you secure it, you can then begin to think of how to relocate your family but it will not be immediately. May be after the first two Years of your contract because there after, you would have acquired the minimum UAE experience that will help you in get a better and well paid job or increase in salary of your present job.

The best way is either through direct employment from a trusted fellow or arriving Dubai yourself with 3 months Visa to search job yourself.

@ elektra, it depends on your agent the 3 months visa could up to 150k or more. If you get a job u would need to exit and reenter with your work visa that will be provided by your employer and that would last for a period of 2 years.

@ On ye, certificate is not a problem. If you are young. strong and energetic. you are good to go.

@ Bolincin, I do not have idea sir, but it will be best you contact the schools and ask them personally. it will help greatly.

@ Gooci, all I can say is ask Google if you need to learn before you come on board. If not, when you are here the RTA will take care of all u need to know including maps and location because you will be driving with a gprs until you get to know all the locations.

@ DonMartin, There is no special site associated with welding jobs in Dubai. You will have to search general job web sites, and if you are lucky, you will get a welding Job or some thing else. Be aware that jobs don't come easy from home, you have to be on ground here to do exploit.

@ Fridelly, there a lot of scam associated with direct employment that is not to say it does not work but you have to be prayerful and lucky. Usually, I advise people to get a visit visa , come over here and seek job on their own.
