The labour market is open and good but it hardly favours us Nigerians. My advise is if u come in, u may have to kick start with any available job should u find it difficult to get ur desired job. Most people here started like that. |

I don't understand what u mean by fully sponsored |
security job and clerk job available. sec is 2500 salary
with processing fee of 3500aed ticket inclusive while
clerk job is only 2 position left, salary 3500 aed
process fee 300k no ticket attached. |
@ Transferium, many opportunities exists but little for blacks especially Nigerians. truth is u must start from some where. |
For those interested in direct employment in the UAE
an opportunity exist now for Security job and office
clerk . |

Good writeup. we pray he be the Messiah. |
1500 plus commission plus minus in the end u go home with 3k |
why not? u can. just travel with a valid drivers permit should u get a taxi cab job and for ur other experiences, u are go to go but don't forget the God factor. keep hope alive and every thing will be fine. |
@ Tee boy, only a trusted agent is advisable to use |
@ Adeekiti. u have to employ the service of a trust worthy agent to assist u. |
@ Adeekiti, you have to come down first, then together we can begin to look for job for u. some people might tell u there is direct employment from Nigeria but to me ,I prefer u come down urself and search job yourself. |
@ success 10, first thing first. Go to the Immigration office @ ur location and get urself a passport. 2.between 3 to 7 days 3.cost depends on ur agent and the visa type 4.yes. 5.yes, truth 6. yes 7.500 aged 8.I don't get u. 9.yes and no. I largely depends on ur luck and God factor. 10.come back home simple. 11. Airline will not issue 3 months visa so u need an agent. A trusted one though. |
@ Grandlexuz, u can start a business here if u wish but the cost of registering businesses here is high and as such, most Africans here do it illegally for example, my barber barbs for between 5 and 10 aged as against 20 charged by salon owners, he barbs by the side of his room. A Cameroonian here is illegally selling food and drinks and so many others. some female stylists are here making hair in their rooms. So yes it is possible it all depends on what u want to do . A room self contained should cost u about 3000 aed depending on the location. As for the visa no it is not possible what u can get is 2 years visa @ a time bit u would be needing a company to sponsor u on that. A lot of money is involved in the process of such visa but it will make u to be independent. |
@ Adeekiti, ur chances are good but u may have to look at getting a job with a travel agent for a start. This is not to say that u cannot get direct airline job. I HV a Pakistani friend who has worked for 2 yes for a travel agency. before she went for visa change, she luckily got a job with Emirate airline as a reservation clerk. so it all depends on God. |
As of ur visa process, contact any agent u can trust. |
@ sleek niaja, u may not get a job that matches ur field of study because there are no forests in the UAE, but u can get other jobs like security, sales and the likes to kick start ur career. |
You asked a question and answered it. You have said it all. |
k. I will try and post any info to u |
@ borntolead, what I know is Nigerian girls who are stylists, most of them work part time for themselves after there normal paid Jon which may either be hair job or some thing else. There are a lot of salons here and stylists are also in high demand but again it still boils down to the issue of blacks, and Nigerians especially, not been given priority preferences. If u are lucky though why not, u will get a job. |
From what a taxi driver told me himself, he said their basic is 1500, but they share commission with the company at the end of the month from the total number of hours worked and money raked in. The commission they get in the end, plus the basic salary, totals about 3k or more depending on how much work u did thru the month. |
Then go the the airport and confirm from the airline directly |
I.T in Dubai, I have not heard of any one with such luck |
@Trafters, u can travel down here to look for job and when u succeed, u can now continue with any other certification course u wish here in Dubai and it will help u a great deal because they value their certs. more than ours. |
