On the issue of a lady looking for the tall dark and handsome man, we must understand that its not really about that, a tall dark and handsome man who does not look neat and presentable would still be a NO NO!. Wizeboy said sisters are always after what they can benefit from the man, I believe this goes either way. I mean why would I not consider what could be benefited? A man decides to marry a woman and before arriving at such conclusion keep in mind that he has observed her, asked questions about her, he has basically become a CIA agent overnight! WHY? Because he needs to be sure he is getting a good deal!!! So if a brother would go to such length, why can't a sister who knows what stuff she has got not also investigate on the how 'fruitful' the man would be? Wizeboy made a point of women not wanting to be fully led. I guess by 'fully led' you mean a woman who just nods YES/NO, right? Men are the head of the home No doubt! but the women are partners/helpers as well. A good woman is submissive but not DUMB!!! A woman tries to make some reasonable inputs in the home and the man immediately screams the verse of the Quran reminding her that he is the head. I believe one can fish out a little insecurity on his part. When a man really lives up to his role of being a MAN, a woman would not only submit but would even enjoy the act of submitting!!! 15 Likes 3 Shares |

and the men keep saying women want ready made men! They forget that marriage is a contract and divine one at that and that every contract must have an item of exchange between the contracting parties. A lady who is yet to see 'good stuff' is not likely to partake in such contract. The caliber of men we have today basically sit in their homes and cry 'poor economic situations!', they do not have the gusto to go out there and become admirable in all respect. When a lady meets n intelligent Muslim man, a man who has great plans and not just plans of taking a 2nd, 3rd or fourth wife, she would no doubt settle for him even if his present status is not like that of Bill gate! 12 Likes 6 Shares |

Many of our brothers have unrealistic demands on the women folk. They want a submissive woman who is intelligent and would co share their responsibilities!!! In providing for the family. Take care of them, their home, their children and ofcourse they want her to look very much like a Cinderella ( Cinderella hijabi). So they search, search and keep searching, perhaps they already passed by a noble Muslimah who is not necessarily striking in appearance but does have a good heart and is conscious of Allah. The elderly men are not left out in this problem. They dish out improper advise to the younger generation of men(verbal and exemplary) thus the latter's mentality concerning women is badly tainted. A father who is not just in his household, does not observe the rights of the women under his care would most likely produce a son who would grow up with the same mentality that everything revolves around him. A lady seeing this traits would most likely flee! Another big problem is the abuse of polygamy among the men. Polygamy, when looked at in the right perspective is a mercy to the women folk. The way it is being practised leaves nothing to write home about. A man takes a new wife and totally forgets about the previous one, he is not just amongst them, he further fuels the flames of jealousy that is naturally in the woman. Because of this widespread abuse of polygamy, it is the number one fear in the hearts of many Muslimahs, many are even very bitter towards it. All these issues have just one solution, and that is, that we all return to the Quran and the sunnah of our Prophet(pbuh) and that we do not make a mockery of the injunctions of Allah! 21 Likes 4 Shares |

The first point I would like to address is the issue of dressing amongst the men. A man once indicated his interest to marry a lady to the Prophet, of which he was asked if he had seen the lady. He said, "No!" The Prophet(pbuh) ordered that he did so. Now this aspect of dressing goes for both the men and the women, for it us necessary that there is a spark of interest between the couples before they tie the knot. Our brothers today hide under the guise of Iman to dress shabilly, forgetting that bad looks, improper dressing would be a big turn off to a lady who is approached. She might immediately loose all forms of interest in the man. So the brothers should adopt the Sunnah of our Prophet who was always impeccable in both his character and dressing. The men of today seem to pick and choose from the injunctions of Allah concerning them being the "Qawwamun" (Protectors) of women, they no doubt raise their shoulders high, feeling like the Lord of the house, yet fail horribly in the remaining part of that Ayah which says "... because they spend out of their means.." (Surah Al- Nisa:34). Women have heard and seen over and over again, men who maltreat their women and do not adequately provide for them, yet demand to be treated as the 'Lord'. Many even order their wives not to work, yet fall short in making adequate provision for the family. A sister hears horrible stories and is thus hesitant when a brother comes over to ask for her hand in marriage. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

The Prophet(pbuh) as taught us that a woman is married for her deen, her wealth, her beauty or her heritage and he(pbuh) as warned that we choose a lady for her deen, in order to be successful! Today, many brothers and sisters encounter problems simply because we have left the injunctions of Allah and the sunnah of His Rosul. There is not a single aspect of our lives today that we cannot draw a lesson for in the life of our Prophet(pbuh); the way we pray, the way we relate amongst ourselves, our relationship with our Lord, relation amongst spouses...the list is endless! The Hikmah behind this is such that before or whenever we fall into error we always have a point of reference. So why is an institution so important that the Prophet(pbuh) said whoever fulfills it has completed half of his deen now a cause of tremor in the hearts of our sisters? Why are we scared to get married? What makes a sister take to her heels/ or simply despair when the word 'marriage' is mentioned? Well the answers are not far fetched! Our dear brothers have forgotten the sunnah of our Prophet with regards his relation with the women folk. To be continued 15 Likes 4 Shares |

Weah96:I believe I have answered the question u asked about why I think Jesus Christ was not the Creator. We must understand something about Haqq(Truth) and that is that it is universal. The messengers where not sent to confuse us, they came with a plain message, not a mathematical theory that is devoid of logic( sorry if that sounds too harsh) I have no better words to describe it. But how can someone tell me that God has a son, who is also God and then died!!! Subhanallah! God died!!! and that he came to wash their sins away and YET they would account for all their deeds! how can I agree to an ideology that does not make any sense. A son that Abraham (The friend of God) never knew about, Adam never knew about, Job never knew about. An ideology with so much controversy that even some christian sects have affirmed CANNOT be true. An ideology that has no evidence in the earlier scriptures! when I have seen a clip of an ancient bible discovered by some people(not Muslims) in Jerusalem (not sure of the exact city) and contained NO claim by Jesus (pbuh) that he is God but rather addressed himself as the servant of God! Weah96:I do not think the deviation of Christianity has gotten so bad that it is now believed that Jesus(peace be upon him) is the Creator. If he was , then he probably prayed to himself abi? and prostrated to himself right? and cried to himself right? and was a Prophet to himself right?. The answer is as simple as ABC! anything that takes you away from the worship of the one who created you, I mean the Lord of the heavens the earth and the universe is falsehood, without doubt. Anything that claims God is divided into segments yet still one , is deception. And the theory that most Muslims who bcm xtians, discovered Jesus(peace be upon him) is an illusion. 99% of the people I have seen abandon Islam( the religion that reminds you to submit to NONE other than the One who created you) and uphold a religion that says 1+1+1=1 is simply because of trials which they wer facing. And God reminds us in the Quran that "do the people think that they would be left to say we believe and would not be tested?" many Muslims have failed to understand this and unfortunately get misguided by the "Miracle workers". The earlier generation who believed in their Lord and ascribed no partners to Him wer definitely guided. Moses, Abraham, Jesus Christ, Muhammed, Noah(peace be upon them all) bowed down to their Creator. We have no doubt that they wer upon the truth. So there can be no doubt that the religion that goes in line with the message they brought is the truth. The religion of Islam was not introduced by Muhammad (SAW) rather he came with the same message of the earlier Prophets. The message of submission to One God without partners, no sons, no daughters, no wifes. "He begets not nor is He begotten" 10 Likes |
