I understand how you feel and honestly i will tell you no one is having it that easy. Most people have lost huge in this market and trying something to earn online isn't easy for Nigerians. Every legitimate means seems to be blocked because of the country we find ourselves.

Sadly I came into crypto in the end of 2021 bull run and since then it's been a learning and great experience for me. Let's say I have not experience the euphoria of bull movement but I know it will come. I thank God that I already have a job which helped me so much in this bear times and helped me to DCA as we keep experiencing some declines.

I tell myself if I can survive this bear market, there is no other kind of future bear market I can't survive and again I see the bear market as the best time to even learn.

WHAT I LEARNED?

I learnt about market cap:
This helped me to know project that have higher capabilities of moving 50-100x on the next bull run. Higher market cap means lower expectations of this though its safer with higher cap to protect capital but to make mad returns, looking for promising projects with lower market cap is a goal

I learned about tokenomics:
This is so important because as a newbie you will be naive about this and will buy any token that feels good for you. We have project that are so good but they have bad tokenomics and this means that even if the project becomes successful, you will be getting alot of dump token by the team on your investment and this reduce potential returns.

I learnt about about good project :
Bear market helped me to research so much. I was new and with the hype about shiba and doge success I was so centered about meme project. Buying different meme token and hoping for a fast returns. Lol. Now it's not me. I take huge time to make researches and make sure a project is solving a real blockchain isuues like cross chain, business, security and much more before I invest.

I learnt about about Twitter:
Crypto brought me to Twitter and honestly this is even the best place to learn more on different projects and the community behind it. It's a place you get fast news or rumors but you must have a way behind it. Don't follow huge account that get paid to shill tokens rather follow account where you learn from. Cryptonova is an example.

I learnt about patience :
The market does not care and if you are not patient it will humble you. Most times you need it so as not to make hasty decisions that you will regret.

I will avoid new tokens in a bull run:
In a bull run anything flys and you see those tokens built in a bull market time should be avoided no matter how good they are. These tokens haven't face a bear market not to talk of surviving it and most times these new token tokenomics are so bad because the team have not released so many locked token during pre sales and for its token development. After they survive bear market and they are still developing you can then invest for the next bull run.

The thing is that many will miss another bull run when it clicks.. No one can time the market perfectly. So it's better to buy with some of your capital and DCA down if the market continues down.

How far crypto investors. It's been a while. Honestly the market is not funny and don't care about you or your money. For holders this is the time you regret decisions made and wish you can play back the hands of time. That's why if you must hodl, you need to have a job or other means of income because this is the only thing that will help you not to get frustrated.

Its a new year and we hope things go as planned

I kind of have a feeling that the year will end good. Honestly the market is not smiling and both holders and traders are not finding it funny handling with emotions in this condition.
As a trader you sometimes feel regret for talking profit too soon and as a holder you will also feel regret of not taking profit after watching your portfolio go up and later coming back to almost your entry point. its depressing.

However this year, i have decided to be in between and I have readjusted the way I should trade so i don't go emotional off balance. The hardest part in this crypto is to hodl and though it can be very rewarding at the end, you will experience so many regrets along the way.

its now great to have 2 portion of your capital. One for trading and the other for hodling. Lets say i bought $Polc in mexc for holding, i will also buy polc in kucoin for trading. This will help me cool the regret of not taking profits when the market goes green and also not to feel regret of taking profit earlier with my holding position.

This strategy will better me up this year and i think its a smart move for holders too.

i have added $Gum to my portfolio and its a very low mcap project with potential. i see it doing an easy 10x without marketing if the market goes green. i hodl one in mexc and the other for trading at gate. its well.

Holding is not for the weak. Every strategy is profitable and every strategy can wreck you. It all depends on the way you apply it in your trade.

I am still a big fan of holding but the mistake I don't do is to hold assets with large mcap already. I rather wait for huge correction. You cannot make it if you are holding a coin by buying the top.
