Education / Re: Opeyemi Grace Dara: OAU Student Commits Suicide Over Academic Records by smartspeakerz: 9:47am On Aug 04, 2019
May her soul rest in peace.

"University system is to teach wisdom, not trade, character not technicalities" Winston Churchill.

If an institution makes the curriculum extremely technical for majority to decipher, the purpose is unjustified.

For every level across an institution, they assign level counselors, there job is to invite low grade students to their office, motivate, advice and show better opportunity to the students struggling with academics, does something like that exist in OAU, if not, it should be implemented.

I suffered such risk as well,if you haven't faced not graduating while your colleagues are leaving, you have little understanding of what she passed through, she couldn't stand the threshold, and no one could notice that she is suffocating till she decided to let go..

I was unable to graduate among 24 students, only ME, left behind, I failed. Failure is a necessity sometimes to bring the fire for success in you. I was out of this world for some months, I just walk about like a living dead,I had to pray for strength cos I have a great public image on campus, editor-in-chief, faculty of science, 2 consecutive years and produced magazine for the faculty containing 12 departments, so the failure was with a loud sound.

Our counsellor were not doing their job,so I broke but never to let go, I hate defeat but for those insulting the dead of not reading, have you encountered being blank in exam hall after reading a lot consistently, there is more hidden that you can't tell, just sympathize and move on.

Failure ain't a good meal but a necessity to acquire a strong dream, my failure thought me that cos God gave me strength and now a lecturer, and a motivational speaker, no student that follow my words ever fell victim of failure till date and I keep inspiring them..

"Any fact facing you is as important as your attitude towards it, that determine your success or failure" Norman Vincent.

If you are reading this, failure might come any day, please be prepared, its either you're reformed or scattered, pray to God for the former, and only those that have failed with a loud noise can advise better not those that read about failure, you can't feel it deeply.

U r too precious to let go, God create everyone for a purpose, sit and ponder on yours, more reason some do well in businesses than academics, what you sulk in might be what someone else triumph over easily, check out for your purpose..you must NOT DIE.

And at last, the deal was sealed, third isn't bad as a position, I will still reiterate that luck and grace exist..
Super eagles luck is never with the dark green Jersey.. Lolz.. grin

It weakens their mind, their sense of coordination, and their legs become heavier to shot.. I hereby move a motion for a redesign of our away jersey...something brighter maybe...

Uzoho is better as our first goalie than other chickens.. Iheanacho better than dogo Paul..and many lessons learnt as we draw the curtain of a bit achievement.. Good night super eagles...Bronze winner Afcon 2019. cheesy

The consistent failure with the dark green is questionable, where is the fire in them all? No offense at all, I just hope their would be a change of play last half, otherwise, its a slap on our cheeks...

Dark green Jersey, change your ill luck tonight abeg!!!

Jersey has nothing to do with performance. This is the same way Nigerians believe PRAYERS will lift them out of poverty undecided

There is a consistent occurrence about the dark green jersey compare to the beautiful one, and I guess its time to prove us all wrong to use to defeat teams consciously, till then, the look is that we have better luck with our beautiful jersey than the thick green..

Watch out as well, be conscious of every happening, it has nothing to do with performance but with grace and luck.

The inspiration about Ronaldo is making another players follow suit as OZIL just took to same philanthropic way, on sky sport news, I heard he and the wife will be taking care of 1000 children surgery in developing countries catering for medications, doctors and surgeries.

This act wasn't observe before in any other footballer aside from CR7, and I presume, more stinkily rich footballers will want to follow his display of love, good human feelings and kindness..
That alone cannot make him fall, he will progress continuously till he has no teeth anymore.
I love the dude.
Sports / Re: Ademola Lookman Returns To Nigeria by smartspeakerz: 7:38am On Jun 07, 2019
This dude has a bright future, am happy for him, urs and mine shall come when u rejoice for a success, at least at this youthful age, he has a career to boast about, and still in the league..

I only had issues with him rejecting Naija when called, though he knows best...he is here to just chill with family, but help advise him not to stay long, kidnappers are on trail already..God forbid o.

Education / Re: JAMB To Release 2019 UTME Results From Monday by smartspeakerz: 7:15am On Apr 28, 2019
JAMB as a body refused to screen results not until after several years, then if any culprit is found and admission letter withdrawn, what happened to the wealth accumulated through such means? Confiscated or burn to the ground... Its an ineffective way to correct measures, why wait till after exams before checkmating centres, why not develop a program that will make the main server discover multiple whatever and group registration? We are always far back in Nigeria... I pray some day things turn around to best practices.
Crime / Re: Five Nigerians Held For Robbery In UAE by smartspeakerz: 8:28am On Apr 01, 2019
Its quite appalling when indecency becomes an act of young and vibrant youths, what a shame!!!

I see most of these as lack of good grooming from home and excessive greediness to achieve through crook means, where has he led them all!
Truth of the matter, their family should forget about them, no amount of bribe can get them released, they are gone..

What a wasted life. sad
