The CSCS and CHN are for trading stuff; you don't need that for the equity fund. The address stuff is archaic; you can ignore it, and you will be on level 2. Furthermore, LV3, you can only withdraw 1m maximum. I don't have any intention to invest aggressively in it, I'll just play around.

I didn't know it wasn't necessary cos how was I supposed to know when they pegged my account tier 1? You know I wouldn't want to have an issue withdrawing my money only to be informed that I can cos my registration wasn't completed. Maybe you need to watch out for that cos they may come for you for incomplete registration when you want to liquidate although time shall tell sha.


Anyways, I have successfully done everything they asked for including the map addressing confirmation.

Paramount onboarding was smooth for me cos I barely remember it. Na the ones wey stress me I remember well. They respond on twitter and they answer calls in my experience. Their minimum holding period is just 30 days only. Their ytd is updated weekly but your gains is updated daily and the % gains of your money from the time you fund is also updated daily. I haven't had any serious issue with them so far. The fund is my favourite of the ones I've tried cos that 30 days holding period even though the ytd isn't the highest.

This looks interesting and welcoming. Please, how can you rate their green days to their red days?

I believe the difference in daily returns between fund managers is determined by the stock basket.

I cannot really ascertain your claim regarding whether they have lower gains or returns daily. With 300k, I have had gains of 16k, 4k, and 2k, respectively, but I am open to learning why you made that claim.

The day's market on the NGX is characterized in the first 15 minutes of trade. What I do. I open my “Trades” on the eTrader platform and wait till 10.15 am, I sort the data according to volume highest to lowest. This would show stocks that are about to shoot up and those being dumped, I just pay attention to only the first page after sorting accordingto volume highest to lowest, I don't scroll down. On this first page, I take note of new entrant stocks, stocks that have been docile or consolidating for a while that..
1. have done 10% green but demand far more than supply….buying. I join the queue provided cash is available.
2. show 10% green with huge supply more than demand..dumped/ profit taking corrections. Especially if the price drops as the market progresses. I walk away or take profit if I wish to

News changes the course of trades. The information once known to the privileged few, the stock will show up as huge abnormally large multiple volume interests. The first 15 minutes help to detect that. Subsequently, I update “Trades” on the platform as sorted every 15 minutes and note new entrants to consider taking a position on.


It's interesting how often this works. Much later the news emerges…e.g Tantalizer and Japaul…NB (profit taking a day before results publication )

A strategy I thought I should share. Do not commit huge funds till you are okay with it.

I thought I should give this a try. But a few questions ;
* What chart do you apply when looking out for the 10% day gain.
* How do you identify your entry and exit point, time or set the time?
What stockbroker that can link you with the NGX etrader.

I stumbled on this thread two days ago and have taken my time to read through all the pages.

I have been in the financial sector for almost 10 years, with investments mainly in individual stocks domiciled with ARM Securities and a money market fund domiciled with Stanbic IBTC. I also tried the Stanbic IBTC Ethical Fund years ago, even before my exposure to stocks, but I was not happy with the consistent negative returns at the time. I eventually liquidated my position and never went back.

However, with the knowledge I have gained from reading through this thread, I am now considering liquidating my money market fund and splitting the funds between the Stanbic IBTC Nigerian Equity Fund and the Stanbic IBTC Balanced Fund.

Please, I would appreciate further guidance on this decision.

Start with little to observe the market and as your confidence grows, you then increase your input.

The mystery, I meant, the timing. Timing is key, knowing when to stay out or stay is the mystery of every damn stock.

It’s up to him ideally to find buyers or reach out to other brokers to help him sell but he has to lower the price alot lower. People have offered lower and there are no buyers. Why one has to be careful where you buy stocks as an individual investor.

This is the edge the Equity fund has over direct stock, because it's the fund manager that bears the cross or loss ( in case) while you take out your profit immediately you see red persists for days and, before it's too late.

But still, I believe a deeper search on Google or some solid AI may help explain the mystery behind this situation you raised above.

Same here just that, in my own case, it's one day lost. But I will suggest you don't react badly and let it go. I guess they are overwhelmed because they have huge assets, hence lots of sub that take a lot of time to attend to at the same time.

Anyway, whatever you do know that it won't change much and that you can only look forward to green days ahead to make up for the deprived days.

Having this same problem at the moment. I sold mmf and it took days to credit my wallet. I immediately subscribed to Ethical fund. Since Monday o. Wallet has been debited but ethical portfolio still #0. I emailed them no reply.

Money till now / Friday? That's 5days solid and it's quite too long. You need to utilise their complaint service available both on the web and app asap.

For your info; mine has reflected and it's now showing my subscription.

Kindly enlighten, how many days or minutes does it usually takes for your Stanbic equity fund to reflect after you make the deposit?
I deposited Equity since yesterday there haven't been any equity activities or funds but all are zero. Can you share your experience of them, a little?

Equity pays more as it is fully stocks. ESG has bonds in it, which hinders it from growing aggressively like equity.

Since I deposited into Zenith ESG for the past 2-3 days now I have not seen any activities or reflection of my deposit into my chosen investment. How is your side, what's happening ?

Please, I subscribed to Stanbic Equity Yesterday but till this moment I have not seen any balance or equity investment activities on my portfolio. Anybody who's into them should kindly enlighten on how their system works, why my Equity fund investment isn't showing any activities or movement.

By the way, he's an investor with Zecrest cos I don't understand their app or how they operate their update.

I haven't gotten any feedback on earning or know where to go whether today is red or green.

Anybody who can explain?

Also, my Stanbic deposit was made today for Equity and I haven't seen any movement or approval as per the Equity account email confirmation.
