pip love-vendor: ![]() Correct guy. I love your sarcasm. |
honeric01:You do have a point. I just noticed that 15715 is exactly the sept 29 high. I should give it a little room may be 10 pips more or so. I suspect that if it breaks above those levels it's not likely to come back down. Or what do u think? |
Short GU @ 15643, SL is 1.5715, TP is as momentum dictates (i.e: if it goes well I go sleep there ).Any thoughts, guys? |
stagger:Fundamentals and technicals are often two sides of the same coin. When your technicals are VERY good, news often supports. |
odiaero:Make u mercy am o. ![]() |
Guys, any thoughts on AJap short and UCad long? |
blackgucci:Went short an hour ago @ 1.3341. Glad to see someone else is also/already on this. |
obinna120:Your approach is ok -- and much safer. Let's hope for the best! |
smithereen:1.0460 now. Yes we are there o! I'm in, but will be keeping an eye on it, until after the upcoming announcement. |
obinna120:UCAD may rise a little to around the 1.0464 area b4 falling. I'm stalking it like a deer (or bear!), and if I see any believable down momentum before or by then, I'll sell -- and throw away the keys! |
Blog icon:Hi, Blog Icon (and anyone watching GBPJPY). Even though I use a different set of signals, I got almost exactly the same entry figure for this trade yesterday. However I was not online at the time to catch the wave. Now, I've hopped on (short) today @ 119.91 after today's retracement. Any opinions on whether we still have downside potential? |
JAkpayen:Good looking setup for a fall. I'm watching and will sell any second from now. UCAD has been good this week . |
frenchman2:Correct guy. Of all the directives in Sun Tzu's book, that is one of my personal best, and I've used it in everything I've done over the years. In forex particularly, I learnt after many painful years that knowing ONESELF is much more important than knowing the market or the trading strategies. My version of the text actually starts: "If you know yourself and you know your enemy, you have won the battle before it's begun". -- Which sounds kinda cool . |
pip love-vendor:I think so too. Sold at 1.0322. But if it rises above 1.0360 with any bull momentum, I'll jump off. |
illeet:In one paragraph you've thrown 4 insults at me. We all have the power (and keyboards) to do the same -- or worse. However I'll let you keep busy at it on your monday morning -- life can't be that sad. |
illeet: illeet:If you say that people not posting trade alerts should shut up -- what does that say you should do after your "inspiring" posts above? If you are an active trader, good at reading between the lines (and followed this thread from the start) then you should have learnt one or two things from odiaero and a few other posters here -- the fact that you've lagged behind in that department is absolutely not a criteria to throw insults. Folks are not obligated to help you, or to blow open their hard-learned secrets to please you -- take what you are given, learn what you are not. Please do not change the tone of this thread. |
swiftz:Hi. Plz note that there is a big difference between Alpari NZ (i.e the Russian/NZ arm which has a branch in Nigeria), and Alpari UK (or US). If your Alpari is the UK arm, they are reputed to be one of the best brokers out there. But if you are on Alpari NZ, you should know that they have a bad reputation online (google plz). |
naijababe:Thanks 4 the heads up sis! I do lookout for your calls/posts from time to time, as you seem to be a good turning point picker. Luckily, I took all the upswings on EJ today starting from 104.33 @ 8:22am naija time (ignored all the downswings), including the last (entered 105.06) which I closed a few minutes ago. That hardworking pair alone has yielded over 220 pips today. Wow. Your 1st TP is really at 109.00? I doff my hat. |
These oyibo na wa o. Rally on 4 major pairs after market hours ![]() Oya now . |
smithereen:OK. The retracements happened. So I'm back on board (longs) today @ GU 1.5978 and GJ 123.75. Watching like a hawk this morning incase things start to look south and I have to jump off. But I especially believe GJ is due for a massive rally even though the little beast has been acting funny all week (spitting out pips though ).naijababe:I saw that bear flag on ECH and GCH. But for now I am happily ignoring anything with CHF in it until the world decides what they want to do with that currency. I might be wrong, but no go shoot fowl make im mama fly. |
Closing my GJ @ 124.19 for +63 pips and GU @ 1.6058 for +74 pips. Both still have massive upside in my opinion, but I believe they could retrace a bit b4 continuing (2day or 2morr) - if at all. If they do I'll hop on (long) again. If they don't and I miss my anticipated move, I'll console myself with the 137 pips for today. |
blackgucci:Solid talk. Seconded. Got on board yesterday -- though the initial ride may have been scary for some. |
Concept:Coincidence. I have an open EU long from yesterday at exactly the same 1.4060, (I'm glad to see someone else making the same assessment). It was my 3rd long on that pair yesterday -- the first 2 closed profitably, and I haven't seen any indication to the contrary on this one -- yet. |
aguiyi:Hi Aguiyi, Having seen some of your posts, I believe you're quite a good trader. However, I believe that for this thread to thrive, we each need to understand that there are at at least 3 major styles of traders (probably more). What each type of trader sees may not make sense to any of the other 2 types. However, all types -- if mastered properly -- end up in profit consistently. Please let's focus more on learning/observing what we like from other people and styles (which is the benefit of this thread) and less on pushing/assuming everyone must see the market in only one way. Thus, Nigerians who read this thread can have a more robust knowledge of FX. Afterall, when we are selling, and the market makers (including top 10 banks in the world) are buying from us -- there is a reason! -- With luv bro! |
blackgucci:Eyaaah. E dey happen, my brother. If I may recommend (when trying to catch a turn point): 100 SL or more depending on the situation, along with much smaller lot sizing. If following the trend, then ur normal SL system is probably ok. Note that this is only my opinion and may not work with your overall system. Only try it after u've run calculations and developed a way round the implications. ----------- Meanwhile I may buy a second EU soon -- if we hit 1.4203. Watching EJ as well. Danger diabolic . |
smithereen:Closed my 2nd leg of GJ @ 124.95 for +45 pips. 1st leg still in play. I see price started retracing @ 125.34, so my initial TP (125.27) would've been the best for this leg (77 pips). Still, it's good to wake up in a new month and find yourself in pips! Meanwhile EU has touched the bottom of the buy zone I described on tuesday and on wednesday, this I assume should be the end area of wave 5 down (wave 3 down happened tuesday, wave 4 up -- which I traded -- happened between tuesday and wednesday). If I am seeing this correctly, then I expect upward drift on EU starting today. I jumped in (Long) at @ 1.4375, yester night (today shld have been a better entry though). Fingers crossed. |
aguiyi:Na here we need dem pass o. |
Concept:My TP for this trade is currently @ 125.27. This is purely tentative, cos as tomorrow unfolds, I will have reason to reduce or increase. Also, I suspect we may have one of those freak GJ rallies that make u wish you'd placed your TP at 300, so I'm still deciding how to play this. Anyone feeling this? Any "Dibia"s in the house? |
surveycash:For this entry I looked at the 30 min and 4H. You are right about the potential to fall more - especially looking at the 4H chart. However I believe GJ is at a decision point now. If this decision point fails, the next one would be around or b4 123.20 -- which incidentally matches the next 120 pip drop you're seeing. Thumbs up on ur projection BTW. |
EU is in buy zone. 1.4370 - 1.4350 . |
Concept:Spot on. Almost missed it. I'm in again @ 124.50. |
