Exactly [quaote author=hypertension post=64767413]Sodomy ![]() Dont think so..I expected better from a family planning consultant. We should learn not to allow our religion affect a professional decision. If you ask me, sex doll can help prevent unwanted pregnancy, help with family planning , and most importantly, avoid post abortion complications. And finally, if every man gets a sex doll, HIV infection will drastically reduce. As we have seen the shift in politics around the world from the conventional ways of voting for the same parties, Nairaland, Linda Ikeji and many more blogging platforms have helped in provoking ideas and discussion which could indirectly have an impact in the decision making affecting our lives. Is it time for journalism to follow a different path? Is it time we have new generation of journalist with accurate and raw information ? Is it time committed and genuine people amongst us start to do the jobs ourselves and start informing ourselves truthfully? |
How come investigate journalists are not making effort to asertain if there is a link between the killings by the herdsmen and Boko Haram? Has Boko Haram infiltrated more states with the disguise of herdsmen? Have any of them been arrested and interrogated? Has a geographical pattern been collated to help analyse their movement towards the southern part of Nigeria? Are the herdsmen a splinter group? Are the security agencies or/and forces making reasonable efforts to address these issues? Is the Nigerian government solely determined on financial corruption only? It should be understood that my topic is not meant to undermine other issues faced by Nigerians. This is just one part of major issues facing us. |

Guys please forgive me if this question has been asked before or is being dealt with by the authorities. Has Saraki been called in for questioning by the police, EFCC and DSS for the 310 million naira? Has the so called Senate Ethics Committee questioned how the money was acquired? How much of these can we take? Trillions of Naira continues to be stolen. The Government cannot boast of a good healthcare, education sysytem, road infrastructures, poverty and unemployment. Why? |

Senator Ali Ndume is a Boko Haram suspect for asking senate to probe me – Dino MelayeBy Seun Opejobi on March 22, 2017 Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has described former Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume as ‘ a Boko Haram suspect.’ Melaye made the allegation on the floor of the senate yesterday while reacting to Ndume’s call that the Upper Legislative Chambers investigate the claims that he did not graduate from Amadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria. The Kogi lawmaker is currently facing a certificate scandal, after it was reported that he did not graduate from ABU as claimed. Against this backdrop, Ndume raised a point of order, asking the Senate to probe the allegation that Melaye did not graduate from ABU, making reference to newspapers’ publication including that of DAILY POST. But in response, Melaye insisted that not only did he graduate from ABU, he also has a degree from Harvard. Ndume had said, “During the 4th Assembly, Salisu Buhari was accused of certificate forgery; he was investigated and determined. After that, in the 5th Assembly, Bello Masari was accused of certificate forgery (secondary school); it was investigated and was cleared. In the 6th Senate, Dimeji Bankole was accused of not having NYSC certificate; it was investigated and he had to show his NYSC certificate. “Now, that brings me to the second matter. In the National Assembly, here in the Senate of the 4th Assembly, Enwerem was accused and it was also investigated. Wabara was accused of collecting bribe and it was investigated and determined. So, a lot of precedences have been set. Now, the second matter of privilege affects my colleague, Sheikh Dino Melaye, and it is in the Punch of today (Tuesday) on Page 10; I have the newspaper. In Punch, it says, ‘Dino Melaye in first-degree certificate scandal.’” Responding to Ndume’s claim, Melaye said, “I and here to respond to the issue raised by the Boko Haram suspect (and) senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ali Ndume. I want to say, to me, it is a welcome development. “Democracy is about investigation and no senator is above investigation. To me, it is a welcome development and it will finally clear the air on all the malicious and vindictive allegations. “To say that I did not graduate from ABU is to say that I am not a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. ABU is a very prestigious university in this country and it is not possible for one to be running a master’s programme in the university when one did not graduate from a university. I have successfully completed one and I am doing the second one. “I want to announce that this is the eighth degree that I am pursuing. I am also a graduate of University of Abuja, where I did Masters in Policy Analysis. I am a graduate of London School of Economics and Political Science. I am also a graduate of Harvard University. The course I am pursuing now will make it my eighth degree.” “Definitely, in the interest of justice, I will excuse myself from the consideration of this matter except when invited for questioning. “I have my admission letters, results, certificate of discharge from ABU. Not only that, I was the Student Union Government President of ABU. On three occasions, I was the most popular student on campus.” http://dailypost.ng/2017/03/22/senator-ali-ndume-boko-haram-suspect-asking-senate-probe-dino-melaye/ My question is this, has Dino brought the Senate House into disrepute with the alleged comment? |

andyanders:This is what i found online Court sentences 23-year-old to death by hanging for stealing — 20th March 2017 From Godwin Tsa, Abuja A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has sentenced a 23 years old Tope Abiodun, to death by hanging for stealing an android LG phone valued at N87, 000. The court also sentenced a teenager, Godfrey Emmanuel, to 14 years imprisonment for the same offence. Another suspect, Samuel Egbe 24-year-old trader at Wuse Market, Abuja, who was charged with dishonestly receiving the LG phone from the 2nd accused (Tope Abiodun), with knowledge that they were stolen, was, however, lucky, as he was discharged and acquitted by the court. The court was amazed by the ingenuity deployed by the convicts in carrying out the robbery attack on the owner of the LG phone, Jacob Habila, who they attacked with a knife before disposing him of his handset. According to the prosecution counsel, Assistant Commissioner of Police Simon Lough, the convicts had, on October 3, 2013, at about 9:21pm, positioned themselves half naked, at Impresist junction, Karmo, Abuja, and upon sighting the victim with his LG android phone, approached him to allow them make a distress call to their brother. They told him they were victims of a robbery attack and would need his assistance to call their brother to bring some clothes for them to put on. The unsuspecting Habila was touched by their story and in the process of dialling a number that was given to him, the 2nd convict (Godfrey Emmanuel), brought out a knife and stabbed him on the head, while Tope Abiodun escaped with the phone. With blood dripping from his face, the victim raised the alarm, shouting “thief, thief” which led to the arrest of Emmanuel. The matter was swiftly reported at the police and Abiodun was arrested a few days later. The convicts were slammed with a three-count charge by the Commissioner of Police, for armed robbery, contrary to section 6(b) of the Robbery and Firearms Special Provisions Act, Cap R11 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004. The convicts were represented by Nnamdi Nwiwu, who made frantic but failed legal efforts to get them off the hook. The lawyer, however, succeeded in saving the teenage robber (Godfrey Emmanuel) from the hangman’s noose by pleading with the court, after he was found guilty of the offences, to consider the provisions of the Child Rights Act, particularly section 221 and section 405 of the Administrative of Criminal Justice Act and reduce his sentence to 14 years. After evaluating the submissions of counsel, including exhibits and documentary evidence before her, Justice Chizoba Orji found the 1st and 2nd accused persons guilty as charged. She held that from the totality of evidence before her, the prosecution had successfully established the case of armed robbery against The judge ruled: The 1st and 2nd accused person. “This court is convinced that there was robbery. PW4 gave cogent evidence of the incident and how the 2nd defendant snatched his phone and ran away and the defendants confessed that they used knife to rob. “PW4 arrested the 2nd defendant some few days later and took him to the police, while the 3rd defendant was arrested with the stolen phone. “All these are cogent and direct evidence of conspiracy. I find that the offence of criminal conspiracy to commit armed robbery have been proved beyond all reasonable doubts against the 1st and 2nd defendants. “The prosecution has tendered exhibits, including the picture of the victim showing head injury, his shirt, which was soaked with blood. He needs not tender the knife in evidence where there is overwhelming evidence of the commission of the crime by the defendants. http://sunnewsonline.com/court-sentences-23-year-old-to-death-by-hanging-for-stealing/ |

http://mobile.saharareporters.com/gallery/arik-air-passengers-new-york-criticize-airline-over-missing-luggage Story By Ahaoma Kanu: There was pandemonium last Friday at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) when passengers of Arik Airline from New York, United States, discovered that some of their luggage had been tampered with and valuables removed. Passengers at the E-gate exit were so furious that they almost caused a scene at the airport but for the timely intervention of some custom officials. After being cancelled on November 20 without compensation to any of the affected passengers, Arik Airline’s Flight W3108 departed John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York at about 7:30pm on November 22, and landed at MMIA at about 4:30am on Friday. With the air conditioning systems not working, the conveyor belt started moving about 45 minutes later in the baggage claim section, rolling out the bags. The area is currently undergoing renovation. The conveyor belt operated fitfully, stopping for a short time on two occasions, and the bags arrived slowly. It was when one of the passengers raised the alarm that his bag had been tampered with that some others went berserk. One of the victims of the theft, Mr. Sylvester Mogole, described what happened as a shame. “They took most of the things in my bag: cell phones, laptops and so on. I don’t really know all that is stolen yet but these ones have been stolen,” he said showing the reporter the torn packet of the Ipad and cell phones. Another passenger, John Tobo, said he had two bags and discovered one had been tampered with. “This has been tampered with but my concern is the other bag where I put more valuables, I am yet to get it. This is not fair at all,” he said. Some of the affected pieces of luggage seemed to have been cut with a razor, going by the sharp cut patterns left on the bags. Others had their padlocks broken. As the passengers raised their voices and vented their annoyance, an unidentified member of the Arik staff to whom they complained tried to calm the passengers down before leaving, but it took the intervention of the Custom officials to achieve that. When contacted on the issue, the Public Relations Officer of Arik, Ola Adebanji, said that he was not aware of the incident but would follow up on the issue. “Normally when this happens, you report to the office and fill a form and we take it from there. I have not heard about this and will surely look into it. You know that we have a company that handles ground operations for us. Every airline has a handling agent so that when flights come they get the luggage out and put them on the conveyor belt for it to go. It is a complicated thing because some of these things are not handled directly by the airline. But it is always the airline passengers will come to; they don’t know NAHCO or SAHCOL. It has been a long time I heard this kind of [this kind of] development and we will look into it,” he said. |

I've seeking ur opinions guys as to how Arik Air's possibility of staying reliable is, in terms of cancelling flights without timely notification, overbooking of flight, flight delay and change of flight time. I find it cheaper than Virgin Atlantic for the period I will be going to Lagos for by over £129.00 but based on what I've read on nairaland about Arik's negative reviews ,I thought I would be best to seek opinions from yourselves Your Time will be greatly appreciated for advice and opinions |
