debrief08: The only respect I require and give in the work place is:
1. Finish your work and send in your reports without excuses and stories on time too
2. Be on time to work and don't spend office hours connducting personal business
3. Keep your spirituality to your self and don't impose it on other collegues, respect every ones freedom to believe or not to
4. Don't embezzele office funds, use and retire funds appropirately.
I don't have time to accept or give eye service, don't steal money, show up late and not send in reports then start calling me Anty or Mummy, the only ones I actually greet and add "mama" when speaking with them are the cleanersn they are elderly.
We have a first name policy or if you are not comfortable use initials or titles. No Anty or Uncle. Most times I find its used for eye service not actual respect.

Elueme: I don't expect this thread to attract much comments because it will promote rather than CRITICISE government. I remain indifferent as I earnestly wait for the full privatization of this all important sector. Jarus: Yeah, there are sentiments. For example, I see Algerian captain voting for Karim Benzema as no 1. That's clearly sentiment-driven. No sane football watcher would say Benzema was best player in the world in 2012. Messi, Ronaldo, Falcao, Iniesta, Xavi, all debatable, but Benzema, clearly nah. But I can see teh connection - Benzema has Algerian origin like the voter.

Also, I think contrary to his vote, Messi himself believes Ronaldo is one of the top 3 players in the world. Same for the guy that voted for Portugal. He can't tell me he sincerely believed Messi wasnt among top 3 players in the world, but he left him out to reduce his chance.

But overall, I think the voting is diverse enough to reflect true best player. The few sentiments-driven couldn't have made much difference, especially since teh difference between winner and 1st runner up is so wide.

360degree: I think gov are said to be chief security officer of their respective state. By this they are seem to part of enforcement agencies n they can maintain law n order directly or indirectly. In fact I would want to believe that the duty of maintaining law n order is
not only on security agencies but also that of citizenry indirectly.

Icon4s: My friend d 18k minimum wage is 4 civil servants & nt public servants. The public service has a dif salary structure. Besides, have u taken time 2 find out what top civil servants earn? U'l b amazed. Also do u know that Statoil, Petrobras,Petronas,Saudi-Aramco,Sinopec,CNOC,British Petroleum, Sonangol etc ar owned by their respective govts?ie they ar NNPC equivalents & NNPC package is no where near them.NNPC Staff ar underpaid! NO WHERE IN THE WORLD DOES STATE OIL COMPANIES EARN SAME WAGES AS CIVIL SERVANTS.
