Programming / Re: How Much Do Web Developers Earn In Nigeria? by Snwokenk: 11:14pm On Jul 24, 2017
bassdow:

Unless you have a Natural Passion or developed a Passion for a Skill, you rarely would achieve much or Anything from it.
Nothing is Easy and Everything has it's Ups and Downs. It's that Passion that would Sustain you at those Trying times.

Getting into anything Science Solely for Monetary Gains is Failure @ Birth.
Web or Software development isn't an Easy Task.
You get to stay up late at Night (fighting and quarreling with Codes which refuses to run as should be) when your Peers are either fast-asleep, relaxing , clubbing or having all manner of fun.

Look at all those successful in anything Science (Medicine, Computing, Physics, Etc) today, they were mostly nerds who rarely socialize or waste their time unproductively.

Get into Web / Software Development for the sole purpose of Making huge money (maybe due the Sweet Adverts you see on Nairaland or Online, etc or from the money you hear they earn) and you would quit before you even get started.

Go ask Tu-face, P-square, etc if it was easy for them.

If things were that Easy, everyone would be Wealthy or atleast Rich.

So this is the outlook in Nigeria? While here in the US, it's opposite. Science, Technology, Programming is where the money especially If you can demonstrate that you know what you're doing

bitcoin went from $1200 to $1330 within 5 minutes and then back to $1200 before settling at $1250 . Just a heads up the SEC is to make a decision about a bitcoin ETF. This will create A LOT of volatility!

The decision hasn't been made yet. Just a heads up!
Business / Re: ➜ ➜ ➜Currency/E-currency Market Deals➜ ➜ ➜ by Snwokenk: 9:03pm On Mar 09, 2017
To all those in bitcoins the SEC (securities and exchange commission) of the United States will be making a decision on if they should approve or disapprove the listing of a bitcoin ETF.

An approval means that atleast $300 million in funds could flow into bitcoin within a short span, this is not taking into account the speculative capital/money waiting on the sidelines for the SEC decision.

If it is disapproved it would be a major setback (possible selloff)

Decision is supposed to be on March 11th 2017 but because that is a Saturday, it could be tomorrow Friday March 10th or March 13th Monday.

this is the weblink that would be updated once the decision is made:

Webmasters / Re: What Is The Major Difference Between Python And Php by Snwokenk: 5:22pm On Feb 14, 2017
If you're looking to learn, learn python. Like i said earlier. I have python scripts/program/bots that request bitcoin trade data from okcoin, btcc, bitfinex exchanges. These scripts then computes the total buys/sells for a specific time period.
For example looking at my script, i can see how many buying trades vs selling trades have been done since (12 am USA est) im working on building more scripts for other big exchanges especially huobi, bitstamp, gdax(coinbase exchange). Once this is done I'll be able to see the flow of probably 90% of bitcoins.

Ive done all this within 2 MONTHS OF LEARNING python. It's a very easy language to learn and start.

Php is specifically for the web. Python is a general purpose language with many uses. I'm currently programming trading scripts with python

Nigeria's minimum wage is not $60. But rather closer to $35 using the real exchange rate of 500

I believe what I want to write here now will put an end to the incessant discouragement of some non- participants of MMM who have made it a point of duty to always move against the stability of the scheme since coming back. Some of these people are educated deficits who have failed to realise that MMM is never in possession of anybody's penny. it is a community of people helping people devoid of central account. I wonder why some people will not find the truth before coming out to defend what they don't know, that sounds crazy! I'm afraid of the future of this great nation for Nigerian universities are full of conglomeration of frustrated elements who later graduated as nuisance with empty brain thereby constituting clog in the wheel of someone's progress. it's high time we ruminated on this and metamorphosize into new being. I have almost 300k in the scheme and it has never crossed my mind to declare MMM has ghosted off with my money. However, the greatest problem is that people are not fed on the ideology of MMM, they're just there to make money and go that's why it appears to them as crash, of course this category of people cannot be blamed as some guiders have failed in their responsibilities unfold the basic principle of the scheme if not all. As we know that no individual or even government etc can be trusted. We all know that even the so called government of Nigeria led by General Mohammadu Buhari promised and failed us. So, all we need is to exercise some patience to see to the survival of the system again not to bite the finger that has fed us. Thank you.

You lost any right to call anyone an "educated deficit " the moment you invested in a ponzi scheme. your 300k is lost. It can't come back.

Why are Nigerians so WICKED?? Why do a majority scorn and so badly wish evil upon one another? Why is it so much joy that MMM appears to be struggling? What does it profit you to be paid to pull this scheme down, ponzi or not? Why don't you just watch it grow or fail, instead of trampling on it?? BEWARE, what you wish upon others surely will haunt you...No wonder there are so many poor people around these plains. Unclean hearts!
a ponzi scheme does not need help to be pulled down. It's something that is destined to fail and leave few, well off and many worse off.

.. you talk sense.. this is my first comment about this mmm crash issue. Nigerians are very ridiculous set of people. They don't know the meaning of patience at all. Today someone will wake up enter naira land and start writing what he/she doesn't know about. How they see end of mmm., how it will never come back and all that shit. If that mmm has crashed, that mmm Nigeria site will not even be opening at all abi dem no know the meaning of crash again? Na so dem carry ultimate Cycler matter for head, that guy peter wolfing put dem for shame dem no dey talk that one. If you have invested in mmm, please give them time to sort out things. I understand how people feel about their money especially those who go borrow to do the mmm. Give them fucking time I'm sure they will bounce back and you lots will get your money. Atleast have confident as their website is still up and running until it stop running, you can be sure that it has really crashed. HOPE FOR THE BEST and expect the worst.. peace

My friends dad refunded over 4.2million to all his children who lost their money to MMM and When they ask him why he is doing so,he simply said youth who take more calculated risk are more likely to be more successfull than those who never want to part with their money beside he doesnt want his children to be hyperthensive because he might end up spending more in hospital

Mmm is not taking "calculated risk". Calculated risk is doing research, quantitative and qualitative research, on what you're investing. Mmm "investors" (mugus) are just greedy math challenged individuals

A lot of bitcoin sellers in nigeria are doing what economist call "beggar thy neighbor" or a race to the bottom. One seller sells $40k bitcoins below market price, on a market doing at least $350k everyday, and everybody follow like sheeps. Bitcoins true value in Nigeria is roughly 3.5% of black market. Given the advantages it has over cash.

for those whose mavro is up to one month but you can't GH, don't worry; within 24 hours the eligible ones will be released so they can GH. The system has to freeze all at the same time (both the eligible and ineligible ones) so that it'll then take time to release the ones up to 30 days. NOTE: all these are measures to ensure that MMM stays alive till and beyond 2017. Our rush to GH has now been slowed down, for the sustainability of our community. MMM pays! Together we build the world!! *Guider Chuudy* This is the explanation... Dear mavrodians, my mission here is to make us properly understand this new message that seems to be causing panic out there in the hearts of all MMM participants. The message does NOT say that nobody will be able to GH until January, instead the message is saying that you will not be able to GH until after 30days that you actually made the payment of your PH and the recipient confirms. Meaning that your money must actually spend minimum of 30days outside. So for example, if you PH 100K on 5th November, and you are matched to pay on 10th November, assuming that you made the payment but the recipient does not confirm your order until 15th November when he finally comfirms receipt of your payment. From that instant (15th November), your mavros will change status to "CONFIRMED" ( irrespective of colour Blue or Green ) , so you will only be able to request for help (GH) on that particular 100k + 30% growth as from 15th December. It is not that you can't GH before January. Please spread this to all your downlines and all participants that you know.

Hello house, I am a software engineer. I see this escrow problem everywhere on this thread, people need escrow services and they use other people to serve as guarantors.

As a software person, i believe we can build a platform just for escrow built by nigerians. The company will be trustworthy and then scammers will be eliminated from this kind of trades. It will be like Paypal, Paypal for escrow.

Please i need help and advice on how to go about building this important service. Should i form a team and you guys will join and help?

Imagine a world where it's so easy to do escrow service. sad

Imagine this scenario

Mr lordmayor4 wants to buy from mr durosure. But they both don't trust each other. So they go to the escrow platform we build and they both transfer to it. They are both protected from fraud.

We can have this website/escrow/service running in less that 1 month. I just need some level of interest from traders for me to know if it's a problem for you guys and if it's worth spending my time on.
