Hello beautiful mamas ,please I need your opinion on this matter
I am pregnant currently 9 weeks 3 days by my last LMP
Here goes my scanning journey in this pregnancy
At 5 weeks 1day,scan showed thickened endometrium with no gestational sac,I was advised to repeat scan in 2 weeks
At 7 weeks 1 day,scan showed intact gestational sac,with yolk sac, but no embryo,I was advised to try again in two weeks to confirm viability,the scan placed me at 5 weeks 4 days
At 7 weeks 5 days,due to anxiety,I did Transvaginal scan and it showed gestational sac that has increased with yolk sac,no embryo ,no heart beat,cervix closed,the Transvaginal scan placed me at 6 weeks 1 day
The radiologist assured me that since I wasn't bleeding,there was no problem that babies develop at different rate ,I should repeat in two weeks..
My reason for scanning this often is due to past miscarriage
Anyway at 9 weeks ,2 days scan showed gestational sac,yolk sac ,now with an embryo and equivocal cardiac activity...
Though there is an improvement,at least it's now showing embryo but it still placed me at 6 weeks 1 day..
I was so worried,I started crying...I was asked to come again in two weeks..that at least they can now see embryo which is an improvement from the last time but I asked why is the date the same after almost close to two weeks
I don't have cramping,or bleeding,I have all the pregnancy symptoms but I am so so scared,I can't afford to lose this baby..

I don't know if anyone has experienced this kind of thing and ended up having a smooth pregnancy...

For now,all I can do is to wait and be hopeful.
I have believe in God that He will do it..
Pls mothers help me to raise your voice to God that He should give me a positive outcome..

Pregnacare is fine if u can get it it's not too late I just changed mine too to obron six although mine was prescribed by the doctor

Good day mommas.
So some people have been advising me to take pregnacare rather than the normal routine drug given at ANC saying that it’s more better for baby development.
But in late 2nd trimester, isn’t it too late to start pregnacare.
Is pregnacare care truly better than routine drugs(ferrous, folic acid, vit c etc).

Diaper- softcare or kisskids
Soap- smoothcare soap
Oil- smoothcare oil and Ori

We don't use baby lotions... My kids reacts to them. So we dey always go natural

For diapers, go for softcare or Yara. They're good.
Soap, I prefer Agnesia soap.
Lotion, I go natural. Jimpo Ori for baby is sweet.
If you don't want to go natural, Johnson baby lotion is good too.

November mamas how u all doing.Some of us are already in the third trimester while some of us are in our last week of second trimester.Safe delivery ahead of us. Hope we have started shopping let's not wait till when tiredness and laziness will set in God will provide for us all

Still pushing… I’m yet to buy anything oh but will do so soonest.
Also, as a ftm, I’m confused on good brands to look out for when it comes to buying diapers, soaps, oil/lotion etc. Any suggestions pls?

Sabi mommas please who has had experience with anterior placenta? Because I’m not understanding the kicking pattern oh.

Hmm I tried to check 2 weeks ago, baby was in a breech position and sonographer couldn’t pick the sex. I don’t think I will give it a trial again oh. I’m not really anxious to know the sex because its my first.

Your PCV getting to 34% could take weeks to months or possibly won't improve until after your pregnancy.
As long as your baby continues to draw on a portion of your blood it will not be enough for you.

Oh dear, you landed on admission, so how many pints of blood where you transfused with? Where you symptomatic or did your doctor just want to keep you?

A pcv of 28% without being clinically pale, dizziness, having palpitations or any other signs of cardiac insufficiency or cardiac compromise is enough for you to carry to delivery. You don't need to fuss over your blood volume as long as it is above 24 in pregnancy

PCV of 28 percent is fine in pregnancy as long as there is no haemodynamic instability or any medical condition with cardiac compromise.

I had same result 2 weeks ago. I was having heart palpitations, bp was slightly high and dizzy. I was placed on more ferrous. I’m getting better.

Please how long does it take to build back to atleast 34%

My 3 yrs + boy has been having reason to scratch his body lately. He would wake up in the night and start crying from the itching. We observed something that looks like chicken... but doesn't contains liquids.

Took him to the clinic and was told it was scabies. He was placed on antibiotics and calamine lotion yet, it persist.

It only affects his legs and arm while every other parts of his body are okay. We were advised to go local treatment but don't know how to go about it.

Please has anyone experienced this?

Wash and disinfectant all his clothes, always bathe him with dettol and rub moko cream for scabies afterwards.
Disinfect his room and sundry his bed thoroughly.

Ha it is well o. I am always feeling so tired and exhausted. The problem now is I àm so addicted to Nzu 🥺. I called my sister in law to send me nzu from village and she sent load of it. Please hope it won't affect my baby

It has traces of mercury which is not good for the baby

Good evening a a 25 weeks pregnant woman this morning after eating and taking her pregnant care drugs , fainted this morning, immediately she was sprinkled water and she was alright, so she was given energy booster and she was alright, pls what are the causes of dizziness and fainting, what's the solution

Anaemia, low bp can cause dizziness please see a doctor.
Also, I don’t think energy drinks or boosters is good for pregnant women.

First trimester
My morning sickness was worse. I vomit almost everyday. I couldnt eat anything cooked by me. The only food I could eat was Akara and Moimoi. Any other food will be accompanied by serious vomitting. I hated anything sugary. Fruits had a weird after taste in my mouth so I couldn't take it.
Weakness became a part of me. I started spitting too but bitter cola and chewing gum worked for me.


Second Trimester
Things improved greatly, I had a lot of energy. I could eat food prepared by me and I hated moimoi and Akara that was my favorite in my first trimester.
Mom-in-law sent Agbo Abiwere (herbs for easy delivery) and huntu (my Muslim brethren will understand this).


Third trimester
This trimester was accompanied by back pains, leg pains, feeling heavy and inability to change position while sleeping. The worst of it all was heartburn. I later discovered chewing gum reduces my heartburn. I was also eating for 6people.
I hated sex while pregnant so I started routine walking and dancing as my exercises. I walked for 25mins every Tues, Thursday, sat and Sunday and when I am bored, I play music and shake what my mama gave me.


At 33 weeks, I started noticing my discharge has increased. Doctor told me there was nothing to worry about. He also told me to start getting ready cos twin babies come early.
I started blending Ewedu and drinking.


At 37 weeks, on the 19th of April 7am, I noticed a watery discharge. It was different from the normal discharge and has a different
Different smell. Since we were told during antenatal that we should always come to the hospital to complain if we notice anything different from the usual, I decided to go to the hospital to see a doctor.
I cooked, ate, slept a bit and around 12pm, I carried my handbag and took a bike to the hospital.
I waited for 1 hr before I could see doctor (it's a general hospital). I complained about the watery discharge and he told me to lie down so he can check something.
I did as instructed and he put his fingers. He gave me a suprise look and told me I was already in labor and that I wasn't having any discharge; it was my water. The shocking part; I was already 8cm dilated but I wasn't feeling any pains. I just felt normal. The nurses too were suprised.
