Interesting, and great updates so far.

I already bought a two plots for a combination of a room self con, room & parlor sef con, and two bedroom apartment, in 10 : 10 : 5 respectively, all in a single building (commercial property).

Have you done such project before? How much do you think will complete that?

23pcs of 16mm(for column starters)
33pcs of 12mm(for baskets)
150bags of cement
45tons of 1 inch granite.
11 trips of sand.
1,400pcs of 9inches blocks.

And then, by yesterday, 2nd June ...the super-structural works began

Mass concrete/ German floor on 1st of June

The filling was completed on Monday the 30th, while the compacting (with flat plate compactor) was done on the 31st of may

0n Thursday, 26th of may, the substructural works were completed..ready for filling

On the Tuesday, may 24th, the substructural masonry works began

Proceeded with the full footing on Monday 23rd may

On Saturday may 21st, we started and finished the excavation of the major walls and proceeded to foot areas that kept collapsing during excavation

Arrived on 20th may ..after the demolition and evacuation of an existing structure at the site.. setting out was done that same day

Facilities:
GROUND FLOOR:
*Entance porch
*Ante room (with visitors' toilet)
*Living Room
*Dining
* A large kitchen with store and terrace
* Bedroom 1 (ensuite)
* Service exit.

UPPER FLOOR:
*Bedroom 2&3(all ensuite)
* Master bedroom (with a large bath, walk_in closet and a private balcony)
*Family lounge(with a front balcony).

That's if you are having one corner window just below the beams. How do you do it when you want to have like two or three corner windows in the same vertical direction, just below each other without having any column at that corner

Each corner window must have well reinforced free hanging continuous beams meeting at the corner ontop of the corner window opening, separating it from the next....in cases where there is need, u can add courses of block on the beams depending on the space you need between the first and the next corner window

Well explained. Could there be a situation where you won't see columns at corner windows and still have openings for the corner windows? I love the beauty that corner windows brings to building

..Yes...In a situation where both beams that met at the corner are continuous( came from a considerable distance), you might not require columns at the corner...the two beams can hang freely( once properly reinforced and depending on the overal span of the overhang and the amount of load you expect ontop of the beam as you continue raising the structure)

Beautiful design. I love the design. The parapet and roof are heavy. The reason for all the columns. The design is a blend of contemporary and traditional bungalow design. Well done

...Thanks boss...am sure you already know the reason for the two columns at the entrance porch.....as for the Two on the both sides of the living room, a look at the 3D, you will notice we have corner windows at those two points....and having those columns there is cheaper than a fully reinforced overhang beams...... please take a look at a place we had a similar use case

Nice.. Do you have an idea what the current price of 6 inches block and iron rod goes for in Asaba. I am embarking on a project too in that axis but currently not residing there?

Please do you have an idea of how much is a plot of 50 X 100 or 100 X 100 along that axis?
