The way and manner they are going about it ,it may even be very difficult for APC to campaign or even win many seats or elections in the north come 2027 There is no ropping any where. Absolutely none. Infact all these criticism are working very well in Tinubu's favor. |

I assume you mean monthly.
Based on unconventional jobs, brown collar jobs, business and enterprise Nigerians earn so much in a day which the cumulative at the end of the month is huge, far above #250,000. #250,000 a month is just #8,350 a day. Start with Okada riders sef. |

Kingpele: True federalism is not too difficult to achieve..even this write fail short of what true federalism is all above...state police and resource control is the most important expect of working federalism...but the greed of the elites will not allow them to do the right thing....moreover resource control and state police will reduce tribalism and religious issues in the country...if a state is managing its resources and paying taxes to the FG ..then states will be accountable to the resident in terms of security and development of of solid infrastructures.... As long as there is no accountability and no sincerity of purpose no matter the system of governance, it will amount to zero. Mind you, have you asked yourself about the 'little powers' rested upon office holders as to why the little the have is not being efficiently utilized? |

free2ryhme: I see your point, but it does have a lot to do with our personal mindset. How can resources and finances be allocated for maintenance if the people in charge refuse to release them? Furthermore, some of these individuals, instead of focusing on genuine development, are more likely to misappropriate public funds for their own personal or religious agendas, disguised as "donations." It’s not just bureaucracy, it’s a deeper issue of misplaced priorities and a lack of accountability. Which goes back to my initial submission which you have just reinforced with yours. It's really about our mindset with regards public affairs, governance, government which tends towards negativity. But, then, things are beginning to change for the better for example, there is success in the immigration sector today because the kind of approach in solving problems by the person in charge is private oriented. Sincerely I am grateful for your civil discussion. Softmirror: It has in local proverbs and adages. The problem is our conceptual understanding about goververnace which means 'it is not mine or it doesn't matter' . Same people in government practice maintenance on their private properties. |
Travel › Re: Murtala Muhammed Airport Resembles A Bombed-Out Airport In A War Zone - Sowore by Softmirror: 11:33am On Aug 02, 2025 |
free2ryhme: When it comes to private establishments in Nigeria, the difference in maintenance culture is often night and day compared to public institutions. In private setups, there’s a clear accountability structure people are in charge, paid well, and held responsible if something goes wrong. They have robust preventive and corrective maintenance cycles in place, with designated teams actively monitoring and managing the infrastructure. This level of responsibility ensures better upkeep. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case in public establishments, where the lack of accountability, oversight, and consistent maintenance leads to a more neglectful environment. Thank you for your input. I am grateful for your sincerity. Hence, it has nothing to do with our person in terms of an inherent culture lacking in the practice of maintenance as you earlier projected otherwise it will be the same reflection in our private sector. Bureaucracy is a factor that hinders alot of development in the public sector not just our mindset about negligence when it comes to government/public properties alone. An example is if members of the public chose to repair an ordinary culvert that has caused a major hinderance but this culvert is a Federal Government property. The moment the sight you doing repairs by yourself self. They will rush from their works department and stop you just to prove to you their might not in terms of becoming responsible but to make a statement. DeOTR |
