I applied November 5th and got answered on 19th of January. Exactly 11weeks processing time. 11 weeks was the processing time when I applied then.

Please any late October or early November submission/biometric for SOWP here that had gotten response?

I assumed they always answer within 6 weeks of submission/biometric before now. What’s happening? Has the time/weeks been extended?

You should be more concern about how to proof your spouse is a full time student and not if you are qualified under IMP.

Thank you very much! I am more concern about that but you should know when issue like that happens, many people with diverse opinions. But through my consultations, I’ve realized that it’s the split that caused it.

Good evening everyone
With much further inquiries and questions being ask from some of those who’d gotten their visas through SOWP. They are insisting that SOWP doesn’t fall under IMP that’s international mobility programmes. Which is what’s in my refusal note and another person I saw his refusal here too.
Please I want to ask is SOWP now under IMP or we are doing what’s total wrong?

You should have used a resizer app. Seems this visa officers have no joy these days.

What are the student information of your wife did you attach? Does it include LoA (where the school DLI is captured) , Passport Page Stamp, Enrollment Letter, Student permit, SIN, School fees payment.

Don’t know about resizer app until now.
I submitted all these documents u mentioned though under international passport segment as I earlier mentioned.

I am thinking too along that line of merging all the documents together but with what application cos they are very big.

I still have the proof of fund though it was 28m naira I used (12m as a fixed deposit and 16m as a normal deposit both on my name but had removed 6m from the 16m naira to remain 10m. Hope it can still fly like that??

Submission on the 30th of Aug. 2023. Biometrics on the 21st of September, 2023 and refusal today, Nov 1st, 2023.

If that proof of fund can still fly, my problem will now be ‘how to compress on the documents into one single file under clients information.
Any help huh

Good evening good people here.
IRCC refused my application today and reason is ‘I do not provide sufficient information to demonstrate that my wife is a full-time student in a qualifying program at a DLI in Canada’.
Though while I was applying, I could not compress all my supporting documents into 4MB under clients’ information so I divided it into 2 segments; my own supporting documents, I uploaded them inside clients’ information and my wife’s documents that was used as supporting documents inside international passport segment with a ‘table of content’ in client information segment that emphasized BOLDLY that my wife’s supporting documents was in international passport segment.
Now with this…any advice on what can be done differently huh

Not really! But many are doing it though some had come here to testify that their SOWP applications were approved without it. So follow your heart!!

PPR just dropped for my brother and 2 kids. Wife arrived July for study that started August.

Nothing extraordinary with the application.

POF was $20k Canadian bank draft issued a day before application was submitted. Nothing was notarized.

Application submitted August 16th. Biometrics Sept 1.

Many thanks for your input. This is what I’d been looking for because the way they’ve been mentioning NOTARIZED letters up and down recently here has been getting me concerned; since these VOs can always do background checks themselves.

Every lump sum above 2m had evidence like car sales receipts, contribution contract. No explanation, evidence Dey.

Letter of intent
Family picture
Kids picture on uniform
Introduction letter from office
Reference letter from bank
Marriage documents including wedding card;lol
Plus the other regular document too numerous to mention.
Wify on study visa. She left in April.

Almost in the same shoes with you expect that my own children are already in there with my wife.
My biometrics was also about 3weeks away from the date of submission too/date of biometric booking but I noticed sept 9 was Saturday, is it now possible to do biometrics on Saturdays?

Is it that column for CLIENT INFORMATION on that portal we will upload all our attaching documents like bank statements, police clearance, highest school certificate, cv, LOE, invite letter, leave letter, spouse’s and children visas, letter of acceptance, SIN, work permit, school receipt and property receipts etc huh

It’s really a bit difficult navigating this @govt of Canada webpage especially for first timer like me.

Please all good hearted people here, I really need your guidance as this is almost driving crazy

I don’t want to miss my ways on this site and I also do not want to do a wrong thing or submit an incomplete application

I have been able to generate and complete eligibility stage, created my personal reference code and also completed personal details segment where it will ask me to VALIDATE after completing it and gives me BARCODES…all these I have done.

The issue now is when I log in through my GCkey…I expected that it drop me at the next stage but no. It’s saying ‘I have not sign or log in’

I need to move to the next stage from there but no way.
Please guide me

I don’t think it’s compulsory but you should be able to prove beyond doubt that you are actually both married!!

An agent was telling me today that all airline require round trip for study visa. How true is this?

My wife and children travelled to Canada may this year through a one-way. I booked Ethiopian airline for the 4 of them myself. I think one should be able to book a one way flight if the duration of study is up to a year and above. Though when we got to MMIA the airline officials were trying to disturb and ask for return ticket but I proved to them that we are not sure of the particular date when they will be returning back since it’s still over a year from now and when he realized I knew what I am talking about…they had no option! Airlines are just using that round-trip to cash out on students. Lastly, even at the POE they didn’t even ask them anything as regards return ticket. Return ticket is only compulsory I think when you are on a visit visa(parent) or your duration of stay will not be up to a year.

Good morning all
I am very new here and having read the testimonies and responses of good hearted people here. I feel at home to say, I need the help of gurus and those that had passed this same route before.

My wife entered Canada may this year with my children via study permit visa and visit visas for the children on a one year PGD program but because of the late approval of visas, she can’t start the program by that same may but deferred till September though not working because it’s illegal to work while you are yet to start schooling. I am their sponsor for the visas when they were applying; all the monies were in my accts for POF. Now her enrollment letter is out and I want to apply to join them too.

Now being their sponsor and one of their ties to Nigeria, I want to apply for SOWP! Is sowp the right route for me being their sponsor when applying for their own visas? If yes, what can I possibly say is my reason for sowp in my letter of purpose. A sponsor is of about 2/3months ago, looking for work permit now. Does it align? There is need to say I contacted a friend who’s versatile when it’s come to traveling. He said that visit visa is the best shot for me and when I get there…I will flagpole!!
There’s also need to say I have a running registered business with CAC in Nigeria on my wife’s name and myself and also works in one of federal government parastatals.
What do you gurus in the house think?? Please advise and help a brother. Thanks.
