I don’t know whether we submitted the application but the study visa required a disgital photo and I used my phone camera.

You can use your phone camera once it is clear and you follow the requirements. Don’t waste money on photographers.

Exactly. There are some nice Apps on Playstore like "Passport Photo Editor" which one can download. On this particular App, you can see various Passport format and sizes for different countries. Just select the country you need, and the Passport size format will be given to you. Finish...

Good afternoon my fellow Nairalanders...

Trust we are all doing great.

I am trying to apply for a SOWP and there is this Family information form IMM5707, which after filling, I could not type in my name on page 2 of the form. SO, I decided to print the form, and filled my name on page 2. After which, I attached it to the rest of the documents I intend to upload for the FAMILY INFORMATION section. Does anyone has an idea if this is OK - that is printing out the form to add an information, scanning and attaching to other documents thereafter?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Solidprof: 2:29pm On Oct 21, 2022
Wow, 3rd attempt and still denied. Hope this is not a case of a kind of PROGRAMMED STUFF, that keeps denying application once your name appears on their system. I remembered someone sharing an experience similar to yours, until he finally took up the matter with a Lawyer, which made his next application became successful - APPROVED.

Glory be to God in the highest!!! Long thread!!! 3rd time applicant.
TIMELINE
1st Application - Visit visa (2019)
Biometrics - 11th March, 2019
Don’t know much about it

2nd Application - Study visa
1. IELTS - 24th September, 2021 (Passed, but didn’t attach it)
2. Upfront medicals - 5th October, 2021
3. Application submitted - 13th October, 2021
4. Medicals passed - 25th October, 2021
5. BVL - 20th January, 2022
6. Application denied - 20th January, 2022
7. GCMS note - 5th March, 2022 (Taking the applicant's plan of studies into account, documents submitted show some funds seem available, but there are concerns that the modest funds would be sufficient and available for the whole course. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized fortheir stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application).

3rd Application - Study visa
1. Reapplied - 23rd June, 2022

I am not really sure about this, but I think if the date on each document has not exceeded 6months, they can be re-used.

If I may ask also, kindly confirm u used these documents to apply for your spouse, and now u intend to use it for your own application??

Maybe Gurus in the house can comment on the above regarding if u can still use the documents considering the date on them....

Mr247world:
Good morning all

Trust we are all doing fine!!!

Pls, I would like to find out if at the port of entry (Canada), one will be asked about "proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Canada" ? If yes, how can this be managed, if you don't intend travelling with much cash for security reasons....

Try uploading to both old and new webform and also send to all emails, Nairobi and London especially - and change the subject/content of your email for each office you send to. Plus, I don't think you would need to do another medicals or biometrics. They are probably just slow in updating them.

OLD and NEW WEBFORMS, pls if you have the link for both to Nairobi and London, kindly share. Thanks.

Asking for a friend, who is still awaiting a final decision on his study permit by IRCC in order for him to properly decide on what next to do.............

Application submitted in January, 2022
Program start date = Sept 6th, 2022 [Eligibility of Application commenced Sept 1st, 2022]
Expiration date of Letter of Acceptance = Sept 20th, 2022
Program can only be deferred to Fall of 2023, that is Sept, 2023 [No option for January nor May]
School might not consider an ONLINE OPTION, while awaiting a final decision from IRCC.

Question: When his program officially starts on Sept 6th, will IRCC still consider this program valid for a positive decision after the start date of 6th, judging from the fact that his Acceptance letter will be expiring on Sept 20th?

Hello wonderful people on this thread.

I'm July 29th Applicant and till now nothing yet nor eligibility started.
I have deferred my admission to winter cos my resumption is 6th tomorrow.
Since i have done that.....PLEASE what is the next step and how will i inform IRCC about the deferement

Thank you all for the wonderful gesture.

Normally the Gurus in the house will advice that after getting your new Letter of Acceptance from your school, indicating your new resumption date, you can now send this letter to IRCC via webform.

Maybe others can contribute to this if I missed an important step... Thanks

I greet u. Though don't really understand when you said '' Still waiting for Medical invitation ''..... I believe you can do an upfront medicals rather than waiting for an invitation, since it is sometimes difficult to schedule an appointment on the particular date u would want the medicals done.

Below is a mail response from a Member of Parliament, a friend shared with me over delayed response from IRCC regarding his Study Visa...

"Good day,

Thank you for your email. As you currently reside outside of Canada, we regret that we are unable to assist you.

We encourage you to direct your inquiry to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) via the webform found at the link: https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/web-form.asp 'IRCC Web Form: Contact us online’.

Thank you"

Just wanted to find out if only when one resides in Canada, he/she can contact an MP for information / inquiries, because many has advised in the group to send mail to MP, especially after several mails / webforms to IRCC and no response..
