... Difference between Ozil and Ramsey as this point is so glaring. Nketiah showing Lacazette how to be a striker, what a disgrace. Kai, you turn to the bench as a fan and the only reasonable person after the subs is an U23 player in Willock. Kai, my Arsenal oh. .....

.Lol ...Look at Xhaka fuming that he couldn't play on Sunday and the nonsense he put out today. Kai, this is where we will miss Ramsey. No single person carried the ball into the middle, we kept doing the same thing and hugging the line instead of spreading play. We barely created anything until Nketiah of all people came in.

....The wolves team knew what they wanted to do but we had no idea of what we were doing. No identify or style of football at present. The entire team should be ashamed of themselves.

....Now I know why Emery keeps using a back three because he knows our defence is nonsense. I hate blaming Wenger but this is 75% his team and it's an eyesore. Outplayed by wolves and we want to in the champions League. We are jokers.

.....I still don't want Zaha in our team abeg, that guy doesn't score enough and misses too many chances, we already have two strikers that do that week in week out. Yes, he can dribble but dribbling to beat your marker and pass or take a shot and dribbling for entertainment are not the same thing. Zaha is an entertainer and until he gets serious and more decisive, big teams won't come for him. Personally, I don't think Emery will go for him. But if Emery is willing to go all out for a top winger, he should go for Sane or even a Douglas Costa. Neres and Lozano are also good younger options.

They would most likely release Mahrez than Sane. Mahrez is older and looks like a spent force. I wouldn't touch Mahrez with a pole and I hope we don't go for him.
Pep will find a way to keep Sane happy, that's for sure.

Zaha is ready for top level football , not as technically gifted as Sane, but a good player when in the mood.

The Ozil situation is a pathetic one. Wenger screwed us over when he offered Ozil that contract.
....Guardiola debunked rumors that Mahrez will be sold but even at that, I don't think we will go for him. Arsenal will for someone cheaper and hardworking, something Emery clearly likes and right now, there are lots of names in the air.

...That fear of losing two good players in one window is what brought about this and yet, some fans don't want to sell Ramsey and Ozil in the same window because of that same fear. Now, Ozil is well off and clearly won't leave, which makes our recruitment process more difficult as our owner won't spend a dime of his money in this club. We have to sell but we don't do that well either and will most likely make losses on all our sales save for Mustafi, that's if we manage to get a buyer for him.

I disagree on Bolly. He is much better than Mustafi. But I agree on the age factor. I would prefer a much younger defender as well. How about Jonathan Tah? 6 ft 5', only 23years, plays for leverkusen , 6 caps ( mainly friendlies) for German national team already.

I agree on the left back issues and had already addressed it in my previous post. Maybe Maitland Niles can now serve as back up for Bellerin at right back.

You think Zaha will be costly, but you believe Sane will come cheaper? I don't think so. City will not release Sane, and even if they do, he would be too expensive and much sought after by bigger clubs than us. We could never afford Sane.

I pray Ozil leaves. We don't miss him in matches and we could do alot more with his current inflated weekly wages.
We can at least try for Sane, that guy is better than Zaha and you are right, both won't come cheap. City can't keep Sane and Mahrez on the bench in perpetuity, one of them will surely leave but let's see what happens though.

....He has played for the German team, good height and fine with the ball, why not?

....The thing about Ozil is that he doesn't want to leave, PSG offered to take on loan in January but he refused. We either terminate his contract which will be massive loss for us or we wait for his contract to expire. There is absolutely nothing anyone can do at this moment unless the player wants to leave. It's a terrible situation.

List of players I would want Arsenal to buy next transfer window :

1. Zaha ( left winger)
2. Wan Bissaka (right full back)
3. Bolly (Central defender)
4. Chukwueze/Florian Thauvin (right winger)
5. Kerem Demirbay( Central midfielder)

Is this an unrealistic wish?
.....Zaha is in England already, will be too expensive. Bissaka won't want to come and play second fiddle to Bellerin, not going to happen. Bolly is a low block kind of defender, same with Mustafi and see the mess we are with him. Those kind of defenders are good with teams that defend in a low block system. If they play in a team with high line and one that requires the defender to be do on the ball, then they would be an epic fail. A decent ball playing defender should be enough, especially one on the young side.

....A Kerem Demirbay or Dennis Praet is very feasible. Personally, I will go for a left back as Kolasinac forces us to go for 3 at the back as he is a terrible left back and Monreal just doesn't have the legs anymore. We can't solve all the squad issues in transfer window so I see us going for a left back, a dynamic 8/10 to drive the ball and connect both the midfield and attack, a third striker and one world class winger. I would want us to go for Sane since he is eager to play and wants to leave. I know we need a centre back but I won't be surprised if we don't get one. Too many positions to fill in and not enough money.

.... Although if Ozil leaves, a very big if, then a centre back might be in the cards but I don't see that happening. That money is too good for anyone to want to leave especially for a player no longer motivated anymore.

He told the reporter to ask Emery why he wasn't picked. I love the fact that he was angry; I want to see more of such desire to play amongst our players. My respect for him has grown after I read that. True Captain material.

.... Suarez and Ramsey are still recovering, hopefully they will still be able to play this season.

.....Sod, my guy, I think you are trying to be funny here, lol. Dressing room harmony is crucial for any team to produce anything and very important especially for a new coach in his first season. Common, they have got to smile, laugh and enjoy themselves. It's when they are doing it on the pitch that should matter and frankly I have barely seen that. If players are not happy, then there is a big problem. This same scenario brought out Mourinho's removal in his second spell at Chelsea and Wenger's too. You think Emery doesn't want to be strict and put hunger in this team which to me he has implemented greatly but it cannot happen suddenly. It will take time. Look at when he was being strict with rebellious Ozil, the world was against him even fans here and imagine players were not happy too because of his approach because apparently, that's the reason why Ozil wasn't. It would have ended in a revolt and Emery can kiss his job goodbye.

Everything will come, you guys don't have the patience and keep comparing us with teams with managers that have been with them for three seasons at least. Just a little patience guys.

... Guendouzi should set the world on fire, he should take a seasoned professional in the person of Xhaka in one season. You guys should calm down na. Iwobi buffed up after his first season, same with Ozil. It's a normal ritual here at Arsenal and will surely happen. Personally, I don't think he is weak, he hasn't showed that yet. It's just that sometimes, he is just lackadaisical in his approach and loves to hold to the ball too much. It's his style, but it's something that can be fine-tuned but like I said, everything cannot be done in one season. We have to be patient.

Guy, u asked me who I wouldve started instead and I've given you that information. All these stories about Emery protecting his own is not my concern again na.

We've been tru this line of 'expecting a 20 year old deliver world class football' talk before. You have enough 20 year Olds that are playing fantastically well. So cut that crap. I don't have time to start googling Ajax players within that age bracket. Make Una no dey use that argue at all. We know what age Mbappe did his thing. So talk no dey that side at all.

Elneny and Guendouzi were both horrible. Emery pulled Elneny because Elneny was the most useless of the two and he could only afford to take off one midfielder after already taken off mavro and Debuchy.
..... For me, Emery had good reasons to start those two. It came back to bite him this time, not my cup of tea as he is paid to make such decisions. I wasn't surprised about what those two would bring to the table perhaps you were hence why you are mad. Anything could have happened if he started Torreira, no one can be certain. Guendouzi didn't have his best game in the first half but his partner did him no favours and he played better with Torreira in the second half, that's why I don't really want to fault him.
.... Burnley has done us a lot of good, let's hope that Xhaka is fit for Wednesday's game.

U keep asking who we would've played in midfield, even when u saw Torreira came on and played.

It's only logical that Torreira should've started the game and subbed off later and not the other way round. Every other story u are talking is inconsequential. We've talked about poor defence and shiity midfield which Ur golden boy Monsieur Guen is one of the anchormen.
..... Obviously you don't get my point. Players pick up injuries at this time of the season and as a coach you have to protect your important Players. Look at Chelsea this evening, they lost Kante and another player to injury and that can happen to anyone especially players who are not 100% fit in the first place. Emery was protecting his own as there are obviously no capable replacement at this point.

... You are trying to say the he put those two in midfield because he could but I am saying he did that to rotate and to conserve players. He didn't deem Torreira fit enough to start, we can't fault him for that. Expecting a world class delivery from a 20yr old is laughable, honestly I don't know what you were expecting from the guy yesterday. I was the first to complain about the line-up on this thread yesterday, so I knew what would happen in midfield already. Besides, if Guendouzi was so horrible yesterday, why was Elneny pulled off in place of him? I wonder.

Most of these so called powerful women who have somehow crippled men because of the inability of fellow men to act will all die starting from the next episode. It's for this reason I am not pissed about the silly agenda as it won't lead to anywhere.

....The reason I watch the show is to see if Jon will be so weak to let his mandate get stolen away from him in the name of anything ( love, or whatever) should he live after the great battle. Should this happen ( God forbid) then I don't see the point of the series in the first place and will be quite disappointed considering the journey the so called prince of the dawn has gone through in order for him to sit on the throne and govern with wisdom.

There's something I don't get o..I'm not trying to defend Emery, but isn't it wise he rests some players?

I need clarity fa.

Watford,Napoli and palace within 7 days is draining, Ramsey already had a knock, Xhaka injured, Torreira seems unfit, Monreal is old and may get injured, Niles is our only option.

If they got injured yesterday, fans may still bounce on Emery for overplaying them. Some may even get injured st wolves
It is a risk that didn't pay.

I saw city and spurs line up and they both rested players, utd didn't rest and they were slow and raped.

We have wolves away which is harder, how can our first 11 survive those fixtures?
I think Emery trusted the front 3 to deliver the points, unfortunately it didn't end well.
....That was what I later realized too after checking our fixture list. You have yet to include both Europa games too. Despite the fact that Emery rested Ramsey a lot, he still tore his hamstring. Xhaka is still being managed as he is not fully recovered yet and if he is, the coach doesn't want to start him, same with Torreira. Our entire midfield is gone save for a 20yr old who is worn-out and overwhelmed at this stage of the season and a squad player at best.

....Laca is always pulled off and most times Auba is substituted in, all in a bid to keep them fresh. We have a lot of games coming up, but hardly any capable player to rotate with especially in midfield. Yet, some of the fans don't want to see that. Imagine starting Torreira yesterday and he gets pulled off with an injury or Niles, same people will blame the coach. Right now, we don't have a functional midfield, it's entirely up to the attack and defense to win us matches. I hope they do.

If I was a coach, I wouldn't start an unintelligent and sluggish Guendouzi and a useless Elneny in the middle of the pack. Doing that would be me hoping my wingers would be lucky enough to get the better of the opponent's left and right backs. Doing that means killing the creativity in the team.

Lack of creativity prevented us from scoring goals while bad judgement from mustafi cost us the goals we conceded. Our attack wasnt sharp but they got 2 goals
.... Who would you have started in midfield yesterday apart from those two? Mkhi? Who? There was absolutely nobody. The coach had no choice than to do what he did. The coach hoped that our attack could do something and the defense could hold out a win. Something similar to the Watford game. Unfortunately, Mustafi didn't come to the party and neither did two other defenders. He wasn't going for a spectacular win, he just wanted a slight victory and at worse a draw. We all know that could have happened seeing that we scored two and could have added more. The coach knew the midfield wouldn't even exist, he had seen the Everton game, hence starting the calibre of players he started in attack.

.....If Socratic was available, we would have won that match or drawn it even with that lifeless midfield. That was the plan of the coach, unfortunately he didn't plan for Mustafi.

What do you even know about world class players? So Zaha is world class and Lacazette isn't àbí?....smh...... When his midfield isn't creative he should run the whole field from the back to the opponent's goal and score as the messi he his bá?
Do you even see the palace midfield and defence set up? How long do you think he would travel before he is tripped?

Zaha scored because our defence was poor and our midfield shiiit. The Lacazette u want to blame for the loss was even instrumental to ozil's goal.

How u analyze football baffles me.
.....My point was; Laca had a few chances and he didn't convert. That was my point. The midfield became better in the second half, what did he do? Apart from the pass, what did he do? Check the ratings given to both strikers and see if they were great.

....Look at what you wrote and look at my post, how do they correlate? Did Auba have to run the entire field to score. Did Zaha have to do that too? It just isn't about scoring, it's about trying to do something. Can you honestly say that any of our attack minded players did that yesterday apart from Ozil? That is my point.
I said world class players always find a way; they do something when things aren't going well. How does that equal running the entire length of the pitch? When did I even blame Laca or the attack for the solely for the loss? I stated that earlier it was due to the arrogance of Emery and then later the fact the squad is filled with deadwoods apart from the first eleven and a few players. I only stated that chances created from now should be put to bed because this midfield might still start on Wednesday depending on players available. Where did you I see blamed Laca or whatever except you people just twist things in order to move your agenda.

.... I stated my opinion, never mentioned or quoted anyone except those that did so first. If you don't like it, move on and stop twisting things. Whoever you want to blame for the loss, that's your cup of tea. We see from different perspectives. Abeg, nobody should quote me on this issue again.

You just want me to acknowledge that Guendouzi was the architect of our loss yesterday and if anyone believes that wholeheartedly, then something is clearly wrong.

...The midfield had no connection with the goals scored yesterday. All three goals had everything to with Mustafi and the entire defense. A failed offside trap, a brain fart and then no one marking players in our box which is completely unusual as we have barely conceded from corners this season.

...The midfield was bad yes, but they weren't the sole reason we lost. Stop with the annoying crusade already and stop forcing your opinion on me bro. Not cool at all.

....Auba knew there would be no supply yesterday and took the bull by the horn. That's what world class players do. It isn't all the time, the stars will align for things to happen for you. Emery doesn't know what he is doing. A coach who knows what he's doing wouldn't start mavro, Elneny, debuchy and Guendouzi.

For 4ck sake he couldve started Niles ahead of Debuchi and Torreira ahead of Elneny. Those two would've offered us more attacking threat.

You seem to believe once Lacazette or Auba miss a goal or two, they should be held responsible for a resultant draw or defeat. Football doesn't work that way. Yesterday our defence was poor Courtesy of wrong judgement by of mustafi, our midfield was piss poor due to the non-creative football being played by Guendouzi and Elneny. Wan-Bissaka made the average Kolasinaic look below average. Our attackers were poor enough to get two goals despite playing behind a midfield that lacks creativity.

Yes the defeat is on Emery and he needs to do better when he wants to start rotation. You don't just start 4 to 5 non starters against a mid table team and expect to score dozens of goals against them.
.....Lol, Debuchy, Bro you need to calm down. I said Emery was arrogant yesterday but after looking at it again, I realized that he was right to do what he did. Niles has showed that if he plays too much especially with the way he runs, he will get a knock and most times an injury. He tackles very hard and that has brought about injuries, the game against mancity where he got injured. We don't have any player that can do a job in that position and should he get injured, it's goodbye to our aspirations this season.

.... Torreira is too important and without him and Xhaka, we can all see the outcome - a lifeless midfield. Torreira and Guendouzi are still adapting to the league and playing them too much cost us some matches during the festive period most notably the Liverpool match. Mavro took forever to recover from a groin injury, something remotely close happens to Torreira, we both know what will happen. Look at Xhaka, this injury of his occurred during the international break but he is still yet to recover fully and I think it's the same with Torreira, hence the management and rotation.

....Ozil back problems doesn't allow for him to be played all the time and Mkhi is another injury prone player. So, you see the dilemma? If you were a coach, knowing this and that you have a shot at glory with the Europa, what will you do? I don't think you would have done differently from what he did. No?

Scummies and Chelsea are meeting next weekend I hope for draw, that's after city batter that lousy neighbor.
We have to get something on Wednesday, I suggest we play like Cardiff grin grin cos wolves don't play well with lower teams.
So El neny and guendouzi in the midfield again but no mustafi abeg
.....I had no idea what Emery's game plan was against crystal palace but I hope he has one for wolves. The pressure is on so he will go out attacking but that midfield is the issue now. If he still wants to keep Torreira fresh or manage him then we might still see that midfield again except if Suarez miraculously returns. Even at that, he is not a central midfielder but he will surely drive the ball forward with Guendouzi doing a 4.

..... Loaning Chambers now looks silly. No Mustafi at least and hopefully our attack will do the job. Everything will depend on Emery and his approach. I see Chelsea as our only rival now but then, they are also not consistent and will lose points. All the same we still have our Destiny in our hands.

.....Squad depth might just be our kriptonite this later part of the season. Yes, Emery was at fault yesterday but seeing the injury to Ramsey after playing too many games in quick successions, he decided to rotate, perhaps too much in my opinion. We have got a decent first eleven and three or four average players after that. The rest are deadwoods.

.... Emery has obviously decided to favor the Europa league for the best of his Squad and honestly I can't fault him for that. The glory, the trophy and making history with the club is enough to sway his decision towards that and of course he will still qualify for the champions league in a better pot (I think).

....Top four is still up for grabs, we just have to keep that goal difference intact and hope that Auba and his friend become better at putting the ball in the net especially the latter.
If Xhaka is still not available on Wednesday, Torriera and Guendouzi might start in midfield. Niles must be protected by all means, an injury to him might be the end of our season. Emery knows what he is doing but our average squad sometimes makes him look stupid. Till Wednesday....COYG!

Guendozi is the reason why Wolves may beat us. lipsrsealed
.... Honestly, the thing don tire me. Somebody will not play, they will mention his name. He is not nominated for whatever, they will mention him. The team loses from mistakes and silly decisions not related to him in the least, they will still blame him.

..... It's alright to criticize a player but this one is obvious dislike if not outright hatred. Come to think of it, I don't think there is actually any player in our team that sod hadn't blasted yet. The guy na real character grin

but we had the chance to equalise until he fell over an opponent or his numerous slow sideways passes.
Any way I blame Emery I hope the foolish man learn fast or fvck off
.....Most of his passes went to Kolasinac who was acting like a drunkard swinging the ball to no one in particular. If the arrogant man had started Iwobi, it would have been a different game entirely. The man is just too arrogant thinking there are small teams in the premier league. Very silly assumption after more than 8 months here.

you carefully removed guendouzi from your lamentations
Well done
.... I won't give you what you crave most.....
Was it Guendouzi that told Mustafi and Jenkinson to lose their man for the first goal or told Mustafi to be stupid for the second?

.... I already said that I would ignore the midfield today because we had nobody else there to replace those that were unfortunately absent. But did Laca miss two or more chances today or not? Or after the pass from Guendouzi to Iwobi who failed to find the goal. Whose fault was that? Guendouzi too?

....Or it was Guendouzi's fault that the coach keeps doing needless tinkering at this stage of the season. No?....Oga, abeg leave matter. Today's loss is on Emery squarely....no start your Guendouzi crusade today. Abeg, I dey vex....

Spurs and utd lost and yet couldn't capitalize, Where's the mental strength?
Iwobi was passing to the keeper, where's ruthlessness?
Zaha single handedly bullied the entire defence, where's physical strength?.

I insist on massive clear out and the recruiting of the required players to take us to the next level.
.Oga, this one is on the coach....he played a similar line-up against Everton and he saw how it panned out but he still went ahead with the same stupid line-up with zero creativity. The match would have been over in the first half as 57% of our ball went through Kolasinac but he kept doing the same thing expecting a different outcome. The coach fvcked up leaving Iwobi on the bench. I am not mad about the midfield because there was literally nobody else to put in there but five defenders who couldn't defend in a must win game was too naive abeg.

.....That should be Mustafi and Jenkinson's last game for Arsenal. I can't believe Wenger bought this clown for 35m when Van Dijk was waiting to be snapped up. He left a squad with no single winger and wasted precious resources on useless players. Wenger really made stupid decisions that we might regret for the three years.

... Imagine Mustafi blaming Leno for the goal. I wish I could punch the idiot for the nerve. Mavro is not ready. We need a new center back next season. I am personally ashamed for Mustafi and trusting stupid players will be Emery's undoing.
