my point is we don't really need world class instead we can make them.
In EPL alone I can make 5 lower teams with good defense we can poach from.
VVD,stones were never a world class CB from soton and everton,we can get boly, tarkwoski, zanka, mee for cheap
....I don't know about making defenders especially since Bould is still the defensive coach and yet our defensive woes is still going up. Can those defenders you put up there play a high line? Can they pass from the back? Are they calm on the ball? How about absolute concentration? These are some of the weird stats that top coaches look at these days before buying centre backs. Stones and VVD were sold for such amounts because they offered beyond just clearing the box and all that. Those stats up there raised their prices.

.... Besides one centre back will not solve our defensive woes if we eventually find one.

why are you so interested in selling lacazette and not auba. I prefer we sell auba instead of lacazette cos of the age.
Btw like everyone said they are least of our problems.
We are the 3rd highest scoring in the league what shall it profit us to get world class wingers and we still have shitty defence that concede on weekly basis.
....Did Barca come for Auba or Laca? I already said that we should sell one of them this summer and my preferred choice was Lacazette because he is younger and boom Barca wants him.

.....And how do you intend to get world class centre backs if we don't sell. We might get 100m if we qualify for the champions League. No world class centre back costs less than 70m, so you want us to use more than 70% on one player when we know quite well it will take more than one player to improve our defense especially when we don't have a left back. Van Dijk's acquisition was important but so was TAA and Roberson. We need funds bro....our midfield is far from it and our entire defense save for Bellerin doesn't inspire confidence. The squad is decimated bro. If we get 90m for him, we will be mad not to let him go.

Pace and goals are their forte.
.... Isn't that what we have been praying for....Look at Liverpool set up or Mancity's or even Chelsea Until Hudson got injured. It's pure pace on the wings, we don't have that save for Auba. Not sure you watched yesterday's match but if not, you should see his assist with the goal against Tottenham. Dude was sweeping in dangerous crosses all day. The guy isn't elite level yet but right now he is better than all we have. Get him and should extra funds become available, we can get a world-class winger too on the right wing.

..... Number ten Players have no use in football anymore, most teams now go 4-3-3 which is Emery's preferred formation but since we don't have the players for that, he hasn't settled for it yet. Next season we might see that.

I think I'm concerned about arsenal not losing its player of the season that has bailed us out of crucial matches to barca when there's visibly no cheap replacement with proven track records available out there.

If we accept 70m for him, the whatever player we will use to replace him won't be less than 50m, but what is the assurance that player would bang in more goals than Lacazette or even deliver in top matches.

I don't anybody who has complained in the past about how arsenal sold players like van persie, Fabregas etc at their peak should be looking forward to Lacazette exit. It's just like taking us back to Wenger days when we get players with their rough edges, fine tune them and get them firing on all cylinders and some other clubs just takes them away when we should be reaping from our labour
...... Chamberlain was our highest player sold for 40m and right now we have a new regime who I believe are much different from the last one in terms of players sale. I think Laca is more important than Coutinho but won't cost nearly the same because of age perhaps. Laca still has a few more years on his contract which gives us the power in bargaining. If we get a 90m bid for him or 85m then we should sell. Dude was bought for 50m so he wasn't some potential, we knew what we were getting.

.....That money can be used in getting a world-class goal scoring winger or something. We need funds to get us back to the top and should an offer like that come in, any club would sell especially since we have another elite striker in the team. My fear is whether we will get better replacements or a better forward or something remotely close in quality in a very important position. I hope this regime won't be like the last one where we wasted precious funds on useless players. Let's see what happens though; it's going to be an interesting window.

Has messi indicated he would play for that long? Any serious club (which barca is one of) would be planning life after messi and not buying players to help messi at a very high cost when the present ones doing the job didn't end up in a plane crash
.....Suarez is 32.....Dembele and Coutinho haven't lived up to their price tag, Messi has been their saviour for games and that will continue for a while. I don't know their intentions for getting another 9 but it might just mean that they want a younger Suarez and not a goal machine. As long as Messi still plays there, every other attacker will be second fiddle to him. You don't plan for the future by getting a 27 year old forward. They got De Jong to slowly replace Busquets, they might also get De ligt to replace that defender of theirs. Both replacements are very young players. That's planning for the future.

.....They need another nine for sure maybe to compete with Suarez, I don't know but surely not for the future. I couldn't care less why they get him Laca that's if he is eventually sold, I am more nterested in who Arsenal will get if something like that happens.

.....Messi can still play for the next three years and Laca at that time would be 31 or at least 30.... doesn't seem like planning for the future to me.

There's a reason Atlectico and Barça wanted him, the real big footballing side Europe o.
..... It completely depends on what you need a particular player for in your team. Watch Suarez closely and see if you won't see certain attributes of his in Laca. It's why they want him; they need someone to make outlet for Messi just the way Suarez does. Griezzmann is the preferred choice but if we can get Umtiti from this deal alongside few bucks, it will make quite a lot of sense.

....Not a like for like replacement per say, more like use the funds gotten from his sale to get quality signings in important positions like Liverpool did but knowing Arsenal, we might not do that and that's the fear here. 80 - 100m bid is not one any club especially Arsenal will refuse.

Fraser is not better than what we already have. If we want to sign let's not do the same stupid mistakes we have been during for the last decade.

Sign a proven winger. A marque. Not bleeping Fraser.
.....Do you have the money to sign a proven winger, oga? We don't have a left back, a suitable right back backup, no Ramsey replacement, no winger and no world class center back. To me, there isn't much difference between Socratic and Mustafi, both are not good enough and Kos is old. Holding will take a while to return to form, same with Bellerin. Despite all of this, and you expect a marque signing, especially a winger! I think you are joking.

....Fraser has had 21 goal contributions across all competitions this season with 7 goals and 13 assists with worse team mates ,very hard-working too, the type Emery loves. Yet, he is not better than we already have? Iwobi and Mhki both have 9 goals and six assists between them all season and yet you compare this two to Fraser.
.....Some fans here are impossible.

Since it is believed we don't have money, we have to turn to players like that.
I would have preferred Diego jota, delefou and carrasco.
...Only Carrasco I will take in that list of yours and that itself is a risk. Although, if we can sell Mkhi, we can get him. Having two decent wingers is better than nothing but I think they play the same wing although it seems Fraser can play on both sides. Fraser is EPL proven and won't need to adapt. The same can't be said of any other person coming especially one from a Chinese league. Fraser also has better offensive stats than Jota and the rest and all of our offensive players put together except for our strikers. Seriously, it's no brainer.

...Fraser is the best option now for a cheap winger.

..... This Fraser rumour is gaining momentum and now he has refused to sign a contract which means Bournemouth have to sell. Fantastic talent but I hope he won't turn out to be a one season wonder. We might just have another Mane on our hands. Not my first choice winger but since he will surely come cheap and considering we have three other important positions to fill in, I will gladly accept it.

....Mkhi runs hot and cold...he drives the ball pretty well, the only one that does this apart from Iwobi in our team.

....Auba is my man of the match....He was useful for once today.

...And Fvck Ozil for not applauding the fans while leaving the pitch. Arrogant player.

As per your first question You think it's easy to sneak past wights? the build up to killing the NK was what was shown in the library when Arya was silently moving between the shelves dead silent. and regarding the noise she made when she leaped, it was the feeling of courage and getting pumped up to kill the NK.

Your second question, go and re-watch that scene, how else do you expect the NK to hold onto Arya? one hand on the neck and the other held the hand with the knife, reason why she dropped the knife to the other hand and stabbed his chest.

And saying it's lazy writing stabbing the NK in the chest, remember bran knows how he was created, and there's a reason and purpose he gave Arya the dagger, and to actually kill someone quickly, aim for the heart, and an assassins intuition led her to stabbing the heart. or probably bran told her.

Don't find loopholes where there's none, there's a reason it's called a fantasy series.
....The bolded confused me; I really don't know if you are trying to be funny or you are serious. I hope it's the former.

...Now you are saying Bran saw how the night king would die before it happened which is silly. My point was that; why did Arya scream when the job should have been done silently. She clearly knows that she has nothing against the NK's prowess so why reveal yourself in the first place except to carry the plan of the writers. If she wanted all along to try that her little trick on somebody else, Alright and good but not one as experienced like the NK. How was she able to pass undetected? No answer. Surely, what you wrote up there couldn't be the answer.

.....Her screaming could have earned a slap from the NK while in the air too and that could have killed her. That's a possibility too so hoping that the she would be caught and perform her trick would have seem stupid. Her move looked like a plan but it wasn't really, it something that could work or might not have worked. That wasn't good enough for some of us to take out a supernatural being. It's just how it is bro.

Throwing a bow with a supernatural strength doesn't still prove that one is good on a one on one battle.. In such battles, skills always defeat strength.. The NK major strong hold that the movies have shown us times without numbers is his ability to control zombies and raise up dead to do the fighting for him
........ How is this post relevant to my point? How can you say with a straight face that the night king isn't good on one on one battle after what he did to Theon? The way he throws the spear, it's clear this man knows his onions in battle. I strongly believe that the producers didn't let the one on one with Aegon and the NK happen because Aegon would have lost. His strength alone gives him an advantage and his use of magic........ How some of you watch shows simply baffles me.

NK definitely is not super strong ... definitely not in the front of a Valerian steel.....

Watch the fight between Lady Mormont and the Giant ... The Giant first carried her up.... look at her very well.... before killing her.....

NK waited for a long time for Theon to finish all his paparazzi before Theon charged.....

NK killed Theon gently.... even had time to look at him face to face... knelt down before him and slump on the ground....

B/4 he went to Bran.....

Did you see how he waited gently and looked at Bran for a long time......

Same thing goes for Arya case....

This is the way you kill your enemies..... when you know your opponent cant defeat you... U enjoy the moments of killin and let them know there is nothing they can do .....

U dont expect them to show you every scene in a movie .....Haba

Try and Relax and enjoy the show
..... Naturally, everyone has a weakness, it's normal but the NK's strength has nothing to do with that. But in brute strength, you can't tell me he isn't strong enough.

All the same, if something can't be reasonably explained, we just smile and enjoy the movie.

I'll like to know what your fav series are without "lazy writing".
.... Alright bro, I get you now. Personally, I don't have time for theories as most devoted fans do because I know that no one can tell what a producer can and can not do especially in shows. I know what to expect from shows like flash and all that but a show with complex speeches and beautiful writings like GOT from the very beginning, it's hard not to feel a bit distraught. It was disappointing to see such that's why I tagged it lazy writing and explained that both writers cannot and will never be quarter of GRRM. That's the best of their abilities. No one here will tell me with a straight face than the writings in the show hasn't gone downhill since season 4. Arya'a scene was just the epitome to me. It's why I am sad.

So where do you get your own fact that the Night King is super strong from?

Are we watching the same series?
..... Common now bro, how many people are strong enough to throw a spear that will Pierce and kill a dragon in flight. Why do you think they use those cross bows to do the same thing because no normal human has the strength to do that. Am I the only one seeing this seeing how many people have now asked how I know the night king is that strong? This is serious.

you are shouting the night king is strong, have you seen him fight before, maybe his power is just to raise dead to become white, as he might not be good in combat, and remember when Brian gave Arya the knife, that he doesn't need it, that Arya is the one that needs it. GoT keep using your head, with just little conversation each characters engage, in you may think is nothing but it plays out to be what will lead to something
.... Concerning the strength of the NK, I have already answered in a post up there and what you just said is no reply to my earlier post. Unless you mean to tell me Bran can see the future and the NK can't since both people are seers.

Even the best assassin crack under war pressure ...... that why we are all humans.....

U want to assassinate Death .....and u think it is gonna be easy... I beg cut Arya sum slack...it aint easy....

I dont know where you get the impression that the NK is super strong....

It was a split second decision frm the NK... turn around ...block the knife and hold the throat... Look at the threat then make your decision.

No need to panic or rush .....

Arya was aiming for the back.... till the NK turn around....

Arya did not know for sure ...that was the last option......

Try and re-watch Arya training fight with Brienne ...

Almost the same tactics of switching the dagger to the free hand after Brienne held her hand....

Even Brienne was amazed .... NK was caught nappin with the same technique...

Classic attribute of a true born assassin..... Also try and enjoy it ...its a movie...
.... Thank God, someone with sense finally replied.

....The NK is strong, for him to have the strength equivalent to those huge cross bows used to pierce dragons shows he is quite strong. No human will throw a spear at a dragon with such velocity and strength to hurt it hence the use of such huge cross bows. So he didn't need to hold her off with two hands, one was enough and with two he should have crushed her windpipe easily and gone back to his business of killing Bran. He had avoided so many distractions to get to Bran including a one on one with Aegon. So quickly getting rid of Arya or tossing her to other walkers to finish her as he had an objective would have been the sensible thing. The NK had no reason to delay the manner he did, holding and staring at Arya doing nothing.

...That screaming was deliberate. Let the night king notice you, he holds your neck then do that trick of yours again. It's simple and effective, at least that's what the writers thought. But this isn't Brienne who God knows how she manage to survive, another discussion for another day but the Night king who is hundreds of years old. Surely, he could have gone out with something better than that after the hype, nothing extravagant perhaps but at least not that simple. Bro, from how she got into their midst without the walkers and his generals knowing of her to the scene she killed the NK has no rational explaination. So, the natural thing to say is enjoy the movie.

....But some of us can't just do that, sorry.

Lazy writing or not, so sorry GoT has been the best series for this long because it doesn't go the way of most critics or theorist.

People complaining that the NK died too easily forgot the fact that S8E3 of GOT span around 82mins of pure action and suspense. 82 mins that could have been cut to 2episodes and you guys will still whinge. It's good to criticize but put in mind that no one is perfect and this guys have done a great job in giving it perfection.

No series, show or movie has interpreted a book this well, people now have a picture to most characters in the book and when reading they think of the show character with the way they talk and act. Forget all your theories and enjoy the show and stop whinging,
....Best series to you perhaps and not me. Did you read my post or you just wanted to jump at me for criticizing your precious show. .... Oga, read my post well and reply appropriately. This isn't a criticism of the length of the episode or whatever you posted up there but the scene where Arya killed the Night king. If you don't a reply to that, then by means move on. You don't have to reply to every post here.

..... People saying that Arya is an assassin blah blah blah....a sneaky assassin that wanted to be quiet until she got to her target and screamed? Like seriously WTF? Why on earth would you do that when you actually wanted to kill the person quietly. What was she hoping to achieve there? Could she have known how he would have reacted?

Besides we know the night king is super strong, why did he have to hold a girl who weighs nothing in comparison to his strength with both hands instead of one and somehow he still was unable to crush her windpipe. Another WTF moment.

How did Arya know that the Night king would die from being stabbed right there? If she had stabbed him from the back, it would have at least be believable but honestly, that scene showed nothing but lazy writing that people have already posted on here. Just shows what some of us have known for a while that the standard of the show has fallen since season 4, season 7 being the worst of the lot and this season is closely following.

.... I don't blame the writers though, they can't tie the laces of GRRM, who has been unable to finish the book. Since it became those two, the writings has been sub standard but that's not what makes me mad, it's rather the people who defend such terrible writing even with insults. Completely ridiculous.

The stat says big chance missed, it's too much and needs to be addressed.
I know he's done well, but he needs to influence games and get more ruthless.

I watched Spurs /Ajax, they are energy personified.

Which is why we need goalscoring wingers to help with the goal burden as we can't completely rely on them for goals. Missing glaring chances, disappearing and not affecting games much is an issue that should raise concern.
And still he is up there with the best scorers in the league. Oga, Auba is the least of our problems now. I am sure you watched Tottenham vs Ajax and you saw the movement in midfield between both teams. Both move the ball and spread the width of the pitch on both wings. Can we play like that? That's the question. Auba misses a lot of chances, it's not new right from his Dortmund days but he also scores a lot. Right now, we need a functional midfield and proper wing players including fullbacks. We are so passed it at this point.

It was actually had deciphering which Dragon was doing the more damage with the storm raging and the pitchness of the dark. I saw a more graphically enhanced and clearer version of the fight that's been enhanced by the Lord of Light uploaded on reddit.

You can check it out.
.....I watched it as clear as I could. The Night king was ready to end Aegon with his spear if it wasn't for Dany. He was completely out of his element there and didn't know what to do. It was extremely stupid of Aegon to against one that had control of the storm and better control of his dragon. He wasn't completely familiar in riding a dragon and I am now sure he knows better now that controling a dragon goes beyond directing its movement.
