Okay. Thank you so much.
Can i do a profile test in any diagnostic center? And if i may ask, which hospital did you use?

Thanks for the info.
I'm using St. Luke Sabo Yaba.
You can do it in a good laboratory but you will need a doctor to analyse the result.

Good Afternoon mums and mums to be.

I'm new on this thread.
I'm presently 13 weeks gone. Just last week, i went to register for ANC and certain tests were conducted, and to my surprise i tested positive to hepatitis B. It's been a down moment for me since then as several thoughts have been playing in my head and i dont want my baby hurt.
I just decided to brace up myself and face it.
Please, i want to ask if my baby will be safe from this. And how else can someone get this asides sex cos my husband is negative.
Are there things i need to start doing differently. I plan on going for another comprehensive test soon. Pls, any doctor in the house should advise and if anyone has any experience please
I also tested positive to hepatitis B, but immediately my doctor instructed me to conduct a hepatitis b Profile test which I did, it was discovered that I am immuned to the virus, which mean I recovered from it .
In summary, its important you do a hepatitis b Profile first, then necessary precautionary measures can be taken, you wont necessarily infect the baby if precautions are take.

BS
Firstly I return all the glory to king of kings, I am that is I am, accient of day............................ All in all.
My Dr has prepared my mind for elective cs due to my history of delay and age. But he said I should be coming for check up weekly.
Na so I drove myself to hospital for normal anti-natal clinic only for the Dr to say madam we are bringing the baby out within the next hours. I thought it was a joke, that was how I called DH to join me at the hospital immediately. I was already on admission with Drs monitoring my BP every minute, telling me I have to be stable before taking me to theater but instead of my BP to come down it was going up. Dh signed the consent form immediately he arrived and paid, we were told they will need to prepare incubator for the baby, we agreed to everything. All I want is my baby and me to be alive.
I was wheeled into theater 6:15pm, I was injected at the spine at exactly 6:45pm my baby was brought out crying out loud but so small weighting 2.0kg, so the pediatrician that took the baby certified him ok without incubator.
I had 4 Drs on me alone just to make sure all was OK. My BP was monitored throughout the surgery.
It is a wonderful experience that I can't describe. Seeing my baby gives me more strength.
That is how God wipe away my tears of 12 years waiting.
I am now a proud mother of a bouncing baby boy
The devil tried to raise his ugly head but God knocked him down and said this he come to stay.
I use myself as a point of contact for those looking for the fruit of the womb that the lord will visit you and grant your heart desires.
When Jesus says yes, nobody can say no.
My January teamies I'm still with you, I pray it end in testimony for everyone ijn. Mother and baby alive and daddy rejoicing will be our testimony.
I have been taking palp since Friday evening but still not lactating. Please Sabi mamas what can I do?

We are still in the hospital.
I read this and couldn't help but smile, I am grateful to God on your behalf. May he live to fulfil the purpose of God upon his life.

Congratulations Ma'am but I will not advice you to do transvaginal scan@12weeks, it should be earlier. During my own early stage I was told that my cervix was not short and the cervix was closed but during the cerclage procedure my doctor told me to thank God that I embark on it, that in the process of the procedure, they discovered that my cervix reduced to 2cm@15weeks.

I used HMO for the cerclage procedure too, I did not spend any money for the procedure. I was afraid but Ma'ams on the group encouraged me to proceed since two doctors from different hospitals are saying the same thing.

My husband was not in support because he said sometimes if the doctor can't handle it that in the process the water can break but trust we the wife na, we no how to talk to our husband to support our idea and I put him in prayer too. He later support the idea, he drove me to the hospital and he was outside throughout the procedure.

Ma'am, please still try and talk to him oooo.Doing the cerclage will be the best
I am seriously considering going for it without informing him, my husband can be quite stubborn especially when he has made up his mind.
I'll still try to convince him this week and also pray about it before making my decision.
One more question please, after the cerclage, will I have to abstain from sex.

Good day mamas in the house, been quite a while.
I went for my first appointment @12weeks yesterday. I asked questions with the hope that my fears will be allayed, so considering my previous history of preterm labour @20weeks, I want to be sure I won't go through the same thing.
After d scan, the doctor said my cervix is closed but we can take precaution by doing a cerclage next week to avoid the unnecessary issue.
The bone of contention now is that my husband isn't in support of the cerclage, I know it had nothing to do with finance cos I have insurance. I have tried convincing him but he said no.
I decided to get a second opinion from another hospital, this doctor said I should go for a transvaginal scan, then we can take things from there.

My questions; are their alternatives to cerclage?
How much does a transvaginal scan cost?
I'm confused please, I'll appreciate your advice.

Sorry for d epistle.

Affliction shall not rise again a second time. It is well with you and the baby. You will carry to term in jesus name. Please don't entertain any fear or doubt, however please work closely with your doctor. If it was a case of cervical incompetence the last time, please get a cerclage done early enough and rest as much as you can. And above pray always and make positive declarations
Amen, thank you.

Hello everyone. So, I was on this group in April after realising i was pregnant but unfortunately i lost my baby in june to preterm labour at 22weeks.
To God be the glory I am pregnant again, just 6weeks and my worrying level is very high. Although I have rebuked every form of fear because God has not given me the spirit of fear but of love.
I want to be really proactive and more importantly trust God to help me carry this bundle (s) of joy to full term.

I'll like the help and contributions of other expecting mothers. Please is it too soon to go for a scan? I want to be sure my baby is fine.

Good morning fellow hustler in the house.

Give away SUNDAY was really superb and shows we truly love each other.

I will like to share a secret with you this morning, I hope it benefit lots of people. I was online yesterday when I saw a post on a lady who died due to the fact that her colleagues and friends called her a fat Woman.... To cut the long story short she went to the hospital for surgery in removing some body fats. Unfortunately she later died after a successful surgery.

Pls there is a NATURAL WAY TO reduce our big STOMACH.
ITS CALLED WATER THERAPY. No need of Exercise or drinking of different TEA , IT WORKS LIKE MAGIC.

THE PROCEDURE IS THAT DRINK WATER IN THE MORNING STARTING FROM 5AM OR BEFORE BREAKFAST EVERY DAY.
Wait for 3 to 4 hrs before eating anything.
By doing that I can guarantee you 3 days after you start it, your stomach will reduce and you will use the TOILET more often.

Its working for me and my sister and am truly happy. I believe it will work for all.
Imagine you doing that for 3 or 6month you will achieve your desired results.

THANKS AND GOD BLESS.
GOOD MORNING ALL AND DO HAVE A GREAT DAY AHEAD.

Written by ABIDEC76.
Lots of people don't know the potency of water as a preventive measure and as a natural solution to some ailment. The importance of clean water cannot be over-emphasized and the sooner we understand its benefits the better for us all.
I hear people lament about some body system malfunctions and I wonder why that happened in the first place. Everyone should try to inculcate at least 10 cups of water into their daily routine, and if you can go beyond that, the better for you.
Close friends sometimes call me a horse because of my love for water, but I am not fazed because I am happy with the result I get.
Thank for this your post @ABIDEC76, just felt I just comment on it.

I had the same experience with my first pregnancy and I freaked out like u did but I did not go to the hospital. I Googled it and read about it. It is something called implantation. The bleeding was just for a day and it stop but if u still see it u have to run back to the hospital to be sure.
This really put my heart at ease, thanks for the tip. I'm certain everything is fine as things are back to normal except for the lack of symptoms which I've never felt from day one.

d drugs might be progesterone
pls continue the drugs till when you can scan...and take as much rest as you can...
I don't think so, its tranexamic acid. A drug used to reduce heavy bleeding especially heavy menstraul bleeding. I figured since I was bleeding no more, there's no need.

Please mamas in the house, I'm so scared. I realized I was pregnant last week after a urine test but yesterday at work after using the restroom I wiped and saw bright red blood on d tissue, this freaked me out and I had to rush down to d hospital. On getting to the hospital a more formal test was carried out which confirmed my pregnancy and I was given some drugs and told to rest.
Although since I returned from d hospital even before taking the drug I haven't seen any more blood just tiny spots and dark mucus like discharge which had stopped altogether, nevertheless I'm still very much scared. When I requested for a scan I was told it's still early and nothing will be seen.
Please who can shed more light on this.
Note: I didn't bother taking d drug since there was no more blood.

Hi Solphiequeen,

Are you at the screening center for South West (Agodi GRA, ibadan)?
it is well o... After waiting for so long hoping to conclude the scholarship process today we were dispersed and told to come back tomorrow, I really wish there are ways to vent my anger. The waste of time, the money spent, (especially for those that have to lodge in a hotel), the long and almost endless queues, the scorching sun coupled with today's rain in Ibadan... sincerely, words fail me to express my disappointment.
Nigeria my country indeed.

[quote author=thelastgenius post=65433158]Thanks. Can you tell if I could still be verified today? I'm from lagos[/quote
That is highly unlikely... all states are through with verification process, the only process still in session is the postgraduate scoring, they were unable to score everyone yesterday.

Hi Solphie, did Lagos have its verification yesterday?
yes, it was the combination of Lagos, Osun and Ondo. based on observation, Lagos applicants were not much they finished first unlike Ondo and Osun State.

Pls I Need help here. I have got two key interview exams slated on d 1st March. I want to know if there's a chance of attending both especially FSB . SO I Wanna know if they keep to stipulated time..and d duration of the actual CBT. Pls dose who has done deirs to help out with info...what if a person misses the date allocated for his State, will he/she be allowed to join another state?..Reply ASAP...Thanks
My dear applicant, if you miss the verification for your state, there is no second chance.
I did my verification yesterday (Ondo and osun state), the crowd was overwhelming and I finally had the chance to do mine around past 7, some applicants were yet to do theirs when I left, don't know if everyone will be attended to. The crux of the matter is that you cannot be allowed to do the test of u are not verified.
Verification is in 3 stages, your local govt certificate will stamped and signed on, thereafter, your details will be verified and documented (you'll have to file your documents), then you go for your scoring, your certificate will be scored based on your CGPA. 50 marks for first class, 40 marks for Second class upper. This process might seem easy but please don't be deceived because it's tasking and time consuming, Moreover the officials did not help matters, they were reluctant to work and they left for a so called recess for more than an hour, thereby leaving students dangling... Today is the CBT test. All the best to those awaiting theirs.
