PoliticsIn Pursuit Of Vanity by soludo93(op): 6:21pm On Nov 25, 2015
In all human races, they are people who claim to speak for God. Their usual conjectures had elevated them to a demigod, to the admiration of  their sycophantic followers. These men are everywhere but seem to hold sway in religious groups. They explore courtier personalities & exploit people to a reckless abandon. They are simply manipulators. Our society is religiously profane and that has aided their triumphant ride to stupendous wealth. Their sycophants follow because of what they can gain while gullible masses throng,  believing that God had appointed these men to speak for him. They are pursuing vanity - mammon - in God's courtyards.

Prince Abubakar Audu died at a point of his manifestation. He had spent huge resources, committed his energy and time to return as the governor of Kogi State. He died the day he was supposed to be declared the winner of Kogi State gubernatorial election. He didn't know that the end of his earthly journey was very close. Nobody had ever thought that such thing could happen. The constitution of Nigeria never speculated such a situation. It happened and he was  with 48 hours.

That he died was not as much a surprise as the response of political parties and lawyers in Nigeria. I had thought that we could spend at least one year mourning him and trying to demystify his death. No! I was very wrong. We couldn't mourn him for an hour. His party APC was in distress as to what his death would mean to the position of their party in Kogi State while PDP had seen a window of opportunity to hold on to power. Lawyers and political commentators had divergent views about the position of the constitution. All that happened while the corpse remained with the bereaved family.

What a world! What a life! Your PhD becomes useless the day you die. No matter what and who you are, you will lose everything the day heaven shut your breathe. Everybody abandoned Audu's governorship project as soon as he was confirmed dead. It happened to him, and it's an inexplicable fate of everyone. Repent and follow Jesus today so that your life could have a meaning.

It's a pity. There is no excuse for crime but government must take responsibility for his dropping out of the university. Perhaps, there should have been students loan to encourage poor people in getting university education.

CareerThe Paradox Of Life By Gimba Kakanda by soludo93(op): 9:29am On Nov 21, 2015
Every human being you see on this earth is fighting a war, defending self against the cumulative effects of spiritual, medical, emotional, social or even fraternal raids. And none, except perhaps your immediate family, owes you an explanation for the things they do.

Some are perceived as rich, but they have no money; some athletic, but no health; some successful, but tragic failures; some beautiful, but horribly scarred. Because they are not your labels, not what YOU think they are.

One of biggest deceptions in the history of humanity, as could be testified to by witnesses to certain inventions of this century, may be that vanity-promoting platform called Instagram. That you see people in their fancy dresses and sleek cars and colourful mansions isn't an evidence of blissful existence.

Some have cancer. Some are broke. Some have lost their job. Some are bereaved. And that your small mind doesn't recognise that such is the mystery of the world and that none of these pretenders to happy life owes you a clarification or an apology for being an insatiable and imperceptive leech, is your own war.

Some, having been betrayed by the community they expected to elevate them, have chosen to subscribe to a respectable introversion. Life is too short to add a footnote to every graspable story. People mostly remember you on two occasions: when you have "made it" and when you are dead!

Health8 Powerful Fruits For Better Living by soludo93(op): 7:20am On Nov 21, 2015
According to research there’s something important you’re not doing—and you’re far from alone in your torpidity, because most Africans are every bit as lax as you are on this score. Too many guys aren’t filling the recommended half of their plates with fruit and vegetables, and if you’re part of this crowd it’s something you’ll need to address, because your diet is likely deficient in the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytochemicals your body needs for optimum health—and no, canned fruit and fruit juices don’t count.
If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, the information on these pages might just put him out of business. Here are our top eight fruit A-listers.

RomanceHow To Identify A True Friend by soludo93(op): 7:14am On Nov 15, 2015
One of the greatest challenges in life is identifying who your real friends are. Many people flood into your life in good packaging but not all of them are your friends. Some are into you because they really want you to succeed,
majority flood around because of what they stand to gain while the rest just came around because of your shared enemy. This last group neither love nor loathe you, they are into you because your enemy is also their enemy.

Confidants: They are for you. They weep when you weep. They get into trouble when you are in trouble. They are always there for you come rain or shine. These are your true friends.

Constituencies: They are not for you but for your vision, dream and gifts. As long as things are going well, they will stick around and give you their best. When things get bad; your vision is in doubt, it looks like you won't be able to come out of the wood, your constituencies take to their Achilles heel.

Comrades: They are not for you and they are not for your vision. They are with you because you hate what they hate and your enemy is their enemy. They will join you to destroy the enemy and will leave as soon as the enemy is gone.
Try to identify these set of people in your life and know the level of commitment you share with them.

Christianity EtcDoes God Think? by soludo93(op): 6:58am On Nov 15, 2015
Does God think? If he does, what is central in his thinking? How to bring this world to a gruesome end? How to punish men for their sins? What does God really think? To avenge his saints of wickedness and sins against them?

God actually thinks and the scriptures give us a clear picture about what has occupied God's mind from the creation. It is a thought of Good. A thought of peace, a desire to give us a hope & a future.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV

Praise God! He created you but you sinned against Him. He didn't abandon you. Instead, he's thinking how to bring you into his purpose for you so that your life can have a meaning. Glory be to God.

Massob leader was also arrested by past admins, the world didnt fall. I'm not doubting that the agitations were never there before 2015, but it has skyrocketted since PDP lost out at the centre. And knowing the kind of politics we play in Nigeria, you cannot tell me the drowning PDP is not leveraging on this to score cheap political points, 'all politicians do that.' Even a Yoruba FFK is throwing his weight behind an Igbo separatist protest, the same FFK that has always been anti-Igbo before he joined PDP, and now you claim you cannot see the political connection to this?
Your facts aren't correct. FFK has link to Biafra struggle that predated his party switch. PDP may leverage on the chaos but the present height of the protest was remotely instigated by bad choices of Buhari

More and more evidence to show that the whole secessionists agenda is covertly sponsored by a drowning PDP to destabilise Nigeria. But God cannot be mocked.
Aren't you smart or the prevailing lies in the land have consumed you. MASSOB was agitating during OBJ time. IPOB agitated during GEJ time but none of them gathered this attention. GEJ was wise to ignore their hate broadcast but the brainless dullard went on ill fated effort to jam their radio & to a ridiculous arrest of their leader. They all worked out for their favour.

His advice isn't needed. The way he talks obviously showed that he doesn't understand the challenges of Igbos. Must every tribe produce a president? How & when does producing a president translates to suffering alleviation of that tribe? Rochas isn't in touch with the people. We need true federalism, regional autonomy or right to freedom of self determination.
