This is only possible in GEJ tenure. Buhari can't allow this, people are afraid of corruption now.

I bet you want Buhari to recycle the same kind of people that brought us to this passe in the first place. Your kind of appointees have been tested and found wanting. What stops us from trying out another set of appointees? After all, we are yet to see what they owill do. Or are you already passing judgement when they are yet to settle down in their office?

Funny how the whole bunch of people criticising Buhari’s appointments are not doing so on the basis of their competence, rather, they are doing so because they (appointees) are from the 'north' as if that in anyway remove from their Nigerianness.
His wife, sons and daughters are also qualified for political positions. since he only sees qualified people within his homestead, he could as well fix his immediate family in sensitive positions.

And where exactly did that style of doing things get us? Only a mad man continue to do something the same way and expect a different result.

Change no be for mouth. Real "CHANGE" is a break from the past!
what has changed from your parochial considerations? Is it a blend of technocrats and politicians or refocusing on minority ethnic group? Hellbent buharists are sweating to justify his lopsided appointments but to think that 75% of northerners in government will end corruption, Buhari is cynically deceiving Nigerian public.
PoliticsRe: Let's Look At Buhari's Appointments From Another Angle by soludo93(m): 10:07pm On Aug 28, 2015
op your write up makes sense for people who don't follow Nigeria politics. check GEJ last service chiefs, they are all from minority ethnic groups. Yar'adua/GEJ used a blend of technocrats and politicians in their government, so don't tell us that Buhari is doing any thing positively unusual.

Christianity EtcIs It Possible For This World To End One Day? by soludo93(op): 8:43am On Aug 16, 2015
The message about the end of this world is first and foremost a privilege for those that have close fellowship with Jesus. This is because all through the scriptures, the message was communicated to His disciples alone. Even in few places where Christ presented this gospel in the crowd, he delivered it with parables. So you could read Bible from Genesis to Revelation and fails to see what it says about the end of this world. God evidently speaks above the head of them that are outside His kingdom. At a point, His disciples got worried about Jesus preferring dark speeches when they were in companies of multitude. What He thought them would happen to the whole world, how come he chose to use parables instead of plain speeches? Jesus Christ clearly told them that His kingdom is a mystery and it is only those that are committed to him have the power to understand it. He told them that His kingdom is narrow and strait, there will be very few people that will find it. There will be very few that have the patience and perseverance to keep travelling in this narrow way. Others would get exhausted and divert to a broad way. They would prefer a place where they could wear any kind of fashion, do anything they want and still be accepted – that’s the broad way.
In the thirteenth chapter of Mathew, Jesus began to impress upon His disciples, that there would be an end to this world. He gave them several parables to bring their attention to this reality. The multitudes were entertained by these parables, but His disciple knew that there were some more to what the master was saying. So they sought Him privately for a better understanding. That’s the difference between the disciples and the crowd that throng the churches on weekly basis. The crowd want to see miracles; they want to be entertained with intellectual discussions. They would hurriedly leave the apostolic atmosphere to return to their old habits, only to come back next day, seeking signs and intellectuals that would entertain them with words of wisdom. This does not imply that they are true Christians, or that they had ever had any saving knowledge of the Redeemer. They are only seeking knowledge of the doctrines and duties of religion which may lead them to abandon their outward vices temporary, which has no connection with saving grace. They may profess religion, and may know enough of scriptures to understand that it requires them to abandon their vicious habits, and still never be true Christians.
For the disciples, Christ said ‘... the harvest is the end of the world... Mathew 13:39’
Notice how Jesus firmly presented that the end of the world would be like the gathering of harvest. He went ahead to show us three more analogies, declaring how that day would be. It’s going to be a very dreadful day; the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
The attitude of Jesus about this teaching is very important to my own heart. He wanted to be sure that his disciples grasp every information they needed to stay focus until the end. I noted that Christ never asked the multitude if they had understood any of those parables. But to His disciples that He even conversed with in plain words, Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. Mathew 13:39.
Have you understood:
1. Who will be the antichrist?
2. Which country will the antichrist come from?
3. What will be the activities of antichrist?
4. What is 666?
5. When will rapture take place?
6. Will there be rapture before great tribulation?
7. Will the present Christians experience great tribulation?
8. Is Obamacare a mark of the beast?
9. What would happen before Christ’s second coming?
10. Is hell fire real?

Firstly, I want to bring to your notice that the message of the end of the world is not available to everybody. Not everyone has the permission to hear, see and avoid the eternal damnation that is coming upon the world. Luke 8:10 says ‘And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.’ You can see why these messages are not available in most churches today. You could be going to a church for many years, experiencing the signs of end time without even knowing it. Even when you preach this kind of message among people who are not closely walking with God, it will profit them nothing because they will receive it in form of parable. However, Christ seriously wants as many that are ready to make heaven to hear this gospel. He wants everyone of us to understand the revelations that were passed down to us through God’s prophets. Do not stop visiting this blog on weekly basis until you have discovered everything you need to know about the end time.

Buhari has consistently sidelined Ndi Igbo in all his political appointments. He has made over 40 appointments and no Southeasterner made the list. Don't get paranoid about that. He will eventually appoint Igbos. Even if he doesn't want to, the constitution will force his hand in ministerial list. Like Mikel Obi at Chelsea, Igbos will eventually be called up to cover for the men when the chips are down. For the moment, we are on the bench

dmyke:
Don't be deceived by what govts claim. They all try to negotiate with terrorists, but in secret. They claim they don't in order to discourage potential terrorists; to keep their citizens happy and to avoid blackmail.

With regard to your list, Israel negotiates with Hamas all the time. There have exchanged captives several times. Israel has also negotiated with Hezbolah.

The US exchanged 5 prisoners for one of their soldiers captured by the Taliban less than a year ago.

Ever heard of the IRA, the UK govt successfully negotiated with them (even though the IRA once bombed 10 Downing Street). Now the IRA exists no more.

By the way, this is not to say I'm in support of negotiating with boko haram. Just clearing the air with regard to negotiating with terrorists.
All your figures are currect but the terrorists persevered after negotiations. Ours involves integrating them back into the society, which would be the first of its kind.
