Those foreigners understand Nigeria so well. They know it's a country where anything goes. |
It's official: a harlot has already used your destiny. |
According to Wole Sonyinka, the internet is growing and popularizing a generation of fools! |
dododawa1:Stop writing NONSENSE and wasting cyberspace. React intelligently to the thread. |
Meet the most beautiful elected government official in the history of Nigeria! I hope she's representing her district well. |
beerfraud:E remain make hate carry you enter Aba go open fire in reprisal on behalf of the military. Ezi Ohia! |
Regional government is not enough. There should be total resource control. Niger Delta states deserve to enjoy their petrodollars. Afterwards, nobody will blame Abuja for stalling development in their region. |
If true, congratulations to Niger State. I thought the governor would tell us how he achieved the feat because it sounds too good to be true. |
11Monkeys:You people should stop making every thread on Nairaland SE Vs SW. This forum wasn't created for these two regions. |
Frankiss44:When they beat Trump again, he will start crying of rigging and asking of recounting. ![]() Trump is soo controversial that he used a popular Nigerian word - rigging - to describe an American presidential election. That dude is unbelievable. Quote me when he beats Biden! |
Biden Vs Trump is just a tough choice. However, I don't see how Trump can beat Biden. Trump is full of drama and I don't see how Americans will prefer him over Biden. |
Now that PO has condemned it, BATerians can rest! |
Nzogbu2012:You go wait tire. No eastern governor can stop the Biafra Memorial Day, not even the Federal Government. If not that eastern governors don't behave like people who lack direction, they would have gotten their state HoA to pass a bill to declare 30th May a public holiday in the South East. They are more interested in furthering their political ambitions than being proud of who they are. |
You people made that idiot popular |
Why are you telling us before enacting the law? Go and implement the provisions of the 2014 confab. Those representatives made very useful recommendations. |
careidon:I know about the issue, but I am wondering why it's taking this long to resolve. This is the same deal that Buhari and then make a U-turn afterwards. |
If those IPOB secsesionists had some sense, they would have known by now that killing a Nigerian soldier means inviting trigger-happy soldiers to visit your state and destroy innocent people's properties. The worst thing that can happen to a country is compromising its security operatives to the point that non-state actors bear arms to protect the people. |
Biodun Otunola did an excellent job at Oshodi. You cannot see that world-class bus terminal and not love it. That's why Abia and Enugu governors have contracted his firm to replicate the same project in their states. You can never see Hope Uzodinma when men are discussing development; he's only interested in politics and setting the military after his own people. |
Obasanjo was the best president Nigeria ever had. Nobody comes close! |
You will never know how worthless Naira is until you go to the market to buy foodstuff |
The worst thing that can happen to a region is for state forces to be so compromised that non-state actors start protecting the people and enforcing laws. |
What issue are NNPC and ExxonMobil trying to resolve that is taking this long? This disagreement has been on hold for years now. |
76.67km? Wow! That's a long-stretch of road. GSM is positioning himself to become the best governor of Oyo State. |
Kwaramustgoodag:Jonathan was a coward. When Buhari made that statement that led to killings, Jonathan would have invited the ICC to pick him up and try him. If he had done that, these lunatics destroying Nigeria's economy now wouldn't have been anywhere near Aso Rock because Buhari would be cooling off in ICC prison now. Leadership isn't for weaklings and cowards. |
Ofunaofu:He doesn't know the difference; he's probably a Yoruba Muslim. |
ibtommy:The day SE leaves Nigeria will mark the end of one Nigeria because the South South - which feeds the country and gets nothing in return - will start agitating to leave. This is the biggest fear of the beneficiaries of one Nigeria. Nigeria is like a criminal organisation designed to favour certain people. When the biggest losers, chiefly states of the ND region, want to speak, the biggest gainers give the leaders of the biggest losers some positions to keep quiet or use force to shut them up. |
igwebuike01:Here. Peter Mbah is taking development into streets in Enugu, which is a commendable move. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rloEbx3XliI?si=1ALar8pYgGumrlUd Both Alex and Peter are doing a great job. They are both in a hurry to impress - I like it when leaders have that sense of urgency. |
What's apparently at play here is that the community agreed to give out the land in the hopes that the gas plant would bring about development to their community. Sadly, a neighbouring community experienced a gas plant accident that killed 6 people, thereby making this Nekede community to be weary of gas plants. They kept referring to this and it is totally understandable. The owner of the gas plant just needs to better engage the government officials and locals and to reassure them that they are safe with proofs of EIA documents, risk assessment performed and other safety measures put in place. You cannot put an entire community at risk because you want to make money. |
Alexiiydon:Even primary school kids know that the capital of Abia State is Umuahia. Aba is not a state capital. Travel, you say no. Yet, you shamelessly expose your ignorance in a public forum. |
abbey621:That thing is called GDP per capita. America is over 300 million. Nigeria is about 220 million. Going by your logic, the GDP per capita of Nigeria should be higher than that of the United States. Those of you who support these nonentities in power don't understand that Nigeria has a high unproductive population and it affects her GDP per capita. Tell this government to start investing Nigeria's money wisely. That 90 billion used to finance pilgrimage could be given to SMEs as grants and loans. That's how serious countries create wealth. |
JagabanB:You are free to write whatever you like. Nobody says other tribes who lost their people shouldn't remember them. However, nobody should cover the horrible past of this country; everyone has a right to remember their fallen heroes. As regards Igbos leaving the country or not, that's a talk for another because that's not the discussion here. Ordinarily, I don't reply to lun.atics like you but I had to set the record straight. I won't reply you again. |
Senators and HoR members from the South East should come together and sponsor a bill that will enable the SE region to set aside 30th May as Biafra Memorial Day. There's nothing wrong with that. Being a Nigerian doesn't mean losing one's own identity or pretending that you didn't suffer irreparable physical, emotional and psychological damage during the civil war. Many of us still carry that deep hurt today. |

He come be like say nobody Dey use car for the state
