Travel / Re: I'm Travelling By Air For The First Time Tomorrow, Pls Advice Me by sonofaGod: 6:45pm On May 30, 2017
Aliceluisa:
Good morning. Please I need your advise, this is my first time of traveling to Italy.
Ticket was sent to me and I was asked to take it with me to the airport.
First what should I need to do, I have never traveled by air before.n
Please help me and thanks
there is no need to worry.go to the international wing of the airport at least 3hrs b4 departure time .immediately u get into the large hall, try to look for your airline stand where u will start your check in process by joining a queue.someone will access your documents there (international passport, visa and ticket).someone will also check your luggages (most international airline have a luggage limit size of 45kg so make sure your luggage doesn't exceed that b4 leaving home or you will have to pay for excess luggage with the airline).after this process, the airline will collect your luggage and then issue you your boarding ticket
Then u will proceed through immigration(they will stamp your passport),then proceed through security again including having body check, hand luggage check and body scan, then NDLEA etc .
After this step u then proceed to the waiting area where u will have to sit and wait till your airline announces time for departure
I hope this helps

Hello all.I have a honda E0D 2005 model that has been given so much issues and I need your suggestion and help.there is a continous humming disturbing sound that I hear when am in full motion perceived to be coming out from the front side.was advised by my mechanic in benin to change the front passenger hub which I did, noise persisted so he again advised to change the driver side hub which I also did.I have gone further to change the bearing and tyre of the passenger side but noise persisted.latest is that I should change both tie rods but noise is still there.apparently my mechanic have no idea of what is making that noise anymore hence I will welcome any useful suggestion from the gurus in the house.thanks

its nice to meet someone at last whose sense of patrotism is still intact.have been goin through the post and I see peeps hurling abuses on GEJ which is quite unfortunate.so y"ll feel since he will be vacating aso rock in a months time, there should be no progress in govt anymore.femi thomas has done more damages to the NHIs programm than good because of his own vested selfish interest and inability to kickstart what would have been a laudable programm for all nigerians accessing health care.the present NHIS programm as constituted is currently in shambles, both enrollees and health care providers are disatisfied and dissilusioned with the programm .if you doubt me,go and seek treatment in any hospital as a NHIS enrollee and tell us your experience later.

Phones / Re: ENTER HERE TO FIX ANY ANDRIOD PLAYSTORE ISSUE by sonofaGod: 2:07pm On Mar 11, 2015
marcjoe:
FOR UNROOTED ANDRIOD PHONES...

Follow these steps to fix this problem:

1. On your andriod phone menu, go to Settings, then select Apps, then All, and finally Google Play Store.

2. Under Google Play Store, press the Clear Data and clear cache option and then Force Stop your playstore.

3. Go back to Settings again, and then Apps, then select All, and then locate Google services framework from the sorted list. In case you cannot find Google Services Framework from the sorted list, try to scroll right to the bottom of the list. Sometimes, this item is disabled. If it is disabled, you need to enable it first, so you can proceed to the next step.

4. Under Google Services Framework, clear data and then Force stop. Also clear data of Google play services then force close.

5. Go back to Settings, then Apps, and then All.

6. From the All menu, locate and select and the select Download Manager Clear Data.

After doing all the aforementioned procedures, turn off your andriod smartphone for about 60 seconds and then turn it back on. Try to access Google Play Store this time and it should be working fine. If by all means, the above given solution won’t solve your problem, please refer to step 2 below for rooted users..

Good luck!

Health / Re: Nhis(national Health Insurance Scheme) by sonofaGod: 6:42am On Jan 13, 2015
Hello,please my questions go thus
1.It was being proposed sometimes last year that the nhis was planning to enrol school pupils which would have significantly increased total coverage against the dismal 5percent coverage of the nhis.well,it appears that's not going to be a reality anytime soon.I will like to know why this project failed or if not when the project is going to kick off
2.The current mobile scheme being proposed, when exactly is it going to kick off cos it has been in the pipeline since last year too
3.Is it true that enrollees under nhis scheme with chronic illness like DM and hypertension can only be managed by secondary health providers and not primary health providers.so if paradventure they present in primary health provider centres they are referred to secondary health care providers
4.Earlier on u said enrollees are only requiired to pay 10percent of drug fees, but I know of some hospitals where nothing is being paid,u go in for whatever treatment and leave without paying anything.please how is this possible
Your kind response is being awaited.thanks

RIP to the prof.

I really don't want to sound insensitive or smth. But when the medical doctors were on strike and people were dying, they did make insensitive statements. Like 'doctors are the only important members of the health team' 'if johesu goes on strike, they won't be missed because doctors are on ground' 'they know a little of lab tech, nursing, pharmacy' bla bla bla.

Foolish set of Homo sapiens, why couldn't you save what was left of our only neuropathologist? I thought you were 'demigods' and have mystical powers to save lives? Why blame his death on JOHESU now? The joke is on you and the GEJ led FG that has no value for human lives.

The moment we begin to understand that healthcare is collaborative like it is in saner climes, is the moment we'll begin to treat each health profession on its own. Prof's death(tho sad) is a reminder to that effect. Don't quote me pls!
your level of foolishness, insensitivity and cerebral indisposition is simply out of this world, your disdain for doctors has eaten u so deep that you no longer think with your brain but your kidneys.goodluck to d parents that gave birth to you!

These are the things I read that makes me consider deleting my nairaland account completely. Apparently all the advice we give here just enters one ear and flies thru the other.

I dont even pity you. Continue dashing them your money. They are using your money to enjoy themselves in dubai. Either they give u a job as a cleaner or labourer with 90k salary or you get nothing after wasting almost 1 million. You are still asking us if your should give them more money? You couldn't tell you were being scammed from the beginning and I don't expect you to be able to recognize that they are still scamming you now.

@ sonofaGod, Danvier, its a very long process o, i ve been sending application tru job sites and organisatons websites for almost 2yrs now. i ve been contacted by few orgs/ clinics. some will just ask my expected salary, some asked for my full pix. a particular org wanted me to work for their branch in Saudi arabia, i communicated wit them for some time but finally droped them for my final employer.
i was interviewed thrice via skype, and several phone discusions.
the final interview was purely clinical done by a guy that called from Montreal canada, the date and time was mailed to me, I went on line on the exact time, he called and we had clinical discussions for abt 1 hr, at the end, he smiled and said looking forward to seeing u in UAE soon. few days later, they sent a congratolatory mail and later an offer later.

At a point in time during the whole process that started last year, they stoped communicating, after some time the org secratary wrote me to resend my docs/credentials that thier company has decided to take a Nigerian.
tnks mate for taking time off to reply me.will very much appreciate it if u can send those sites and organization websites too.secondly,do u have to write d dubai license exam b4 u start practising in your own case!

Mashreq bank will charge you #900 per withdrawal.

And Note that not all ATM machines in Dubai accepts Nigeria mastercard, RakBank and NoorBank Accepts FBN mastercard anytime anyday. As for Emirates NBD,ADCB, these banks will just vomit your Firstbank card smiley

Hope this helps.
