Take for instance, if you smoke 20kg of fresh fish, it will give you 5kg.
now do the math:

20kg of fresh fish multiplied by 2,500 will give you 50,000
however, smoked size of 5kg at 22,000 naira per kg gives you
22,000 multiplied by 5 which is 110,000! See the large difference.

Currently I have stocked another 2,000 pieces of Juvenile and I intend to raise them to table sizes God willing as the reserve cash is there

you are right….I ventured in fish farming but made huge loss until I ventured into processing and I package and sell them online and I never regretted it. I stopped selling it fresh to those market women fresh…..there is money in processing and if you have a sure link for export, you can make much more money from it….most of the Nigerians based abroad especially Uk and USA have a high demand for it…..but stocking a large number will help make more money but it’s capital intensive because feeding them is not cheap.
