The context of this verse clearly means oneness of purpose and not one in reality! Another verse states that the father is greater than I am (Jesus).

Jesus was asked about the hour and he said he doesn't know it that only the father knows it.
Clearly he's not one with him.

Where did God make such demand? Even prophet Muhammad told his disciples to love him more than everything in this world and that doesn't make him divine!


Anyone God inspires can speak on behalf of God! That doesn't make him God!

Moses was a saviour to his people during his time. Likewise Noah during his time. Prophets are the saviour sent to the people of their time!

Jesus was the saviour sent to the lost sheep of Israel!



Lord, LORD and lord is dubious from the Bible.
There's no capitals in Hebrew or Greek!

So it can be lord not Lord or LORD!

And Jesus is exalted as a man sent from God. But he's not God or LORD!

The concept of God/god (Elohim) in the Bible is deceptive and can easily be translated as one wishes.

Son of God
In the Bible we see that Moses was God for Pharaoh, Satan is the God of the world, Sons of God came to sleep with humans, God fought Jacob and lost, Jesus is the son of God, Even you are Gods. Most of these Gods are from "Elohim" in Hebrew. Elohim which can be translated as "gods" can be used in the singular sense for God, for god, Angels, Superhuman, and for people of authority such as a Judge or ruler.

Elohim as God aka Yahweh
Take note that in Gen 1:1 In the Beginning God (Elohim) created the heaven and earth.

Used as gods
Now I know that the LORD (Yahweh) is greater than all other gods (Elohim), for he did this to those who had treated Israel arrogantly.” Exo 18:11

“Whoever sacrifices to any god (Elohim) other than the LORD (Yahweh) must be destroyed. Exo 22:20

Humans are God (Elohim)
Then the LORD (Yahweh) said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God (Elohim) to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet. Exo 7:1

“I said, ‘You are “gods" (Elohim); you are all sons of the Most High.’ Psalm 82:6

John 10:34-38 "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?"
This clearly shows Jesus didn't apply ye are gods to himself because all men are "gods" in that context. All those who receive the Word of God and obey them are gods. See how Jesus makes a distinction between gods and Son of God.
Matthew 22:41-46 also is instructive where Jesus appropriates to himself the title of the Lord that sits in heaven on the right hand of God his father.

That's why I said you are ignorant.. if after all has been said and done this is your submission it shows you know nothing. You obviously never read where Jesus prayed to His father and said "Restore unto me the glory I had with you before the foundation of the world" and "before Abraham was I AM" All statements clearly conveying his divinity which the jews understood which was why they said "you being a man make your self equal with God". Same Jesus said Baptise in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. I and my father are one.. all statements conveying his divinity. Again you don't know the implication of follow me when Jesus says so.. he said clearly that his disciples should prefer him above father mother wife and self. He even said deny yourself take up your cross and follow me. Only God made such demands when he said thou shall love the Lord the God with all your heart soul mind etc.. you are definitely ignorant when it comes to the life and teachings of Jesus. Jesus even spoke as God in the new testament when he said behold I send to you prophets and messengers whom you will persecute (Matthew 23:34). Compare where God says practically same thing in Jeremiah 35:15. Did Jesus say he came down from heaven? Yes! Several times. That he is the only way to salvation? Yes and that is the work of the saviour. Even the angels who proclaimed his birth called him Saviour and Lord Luke 2:11. In several places his disciples called him Lord. He himself said he was Lord several times. Don't let your anti Christ and Anti Christian stand make you argue foolishly.. shalom

What does "follow me" which he kept saying mean? It means deny yourself and obey me even unto death if necessary. No one comes to the Father but by me.
