Sometimes stats can be subjective. If Kayode won the top scorer with 17 goals while Henry couldn't win with 24 goals, it simply tells me that the Austrian league is tougher and defences are tighter than the league in Belgium.
Rating a player by the club he plays is not good analysis, when you factor in that the last 2 Premier league Mvps, Mahrez and Kante were playing at a very low level in France just a couple of seasons back before taking the Epl by storm and smashing every record on their way to success.

I don't think Kelechi is that better than Kayode Olarenwaju who have been the highest scoring Nigerian player in Europe over the last 2 seasons.
That is not a record to be waved aside.

I know the question about the strength of the league he plays in will be pointed at, but when you consider that most goals Kelechi have scored in the Epl have been close range tap ins, one can argue that Kayode can score those goals all things being equal.
Don't throw Kayode under the bus. He's better than that.

simple! It wouldn't do us any harm at all. Kayode has been in top top form,I mean there was a report we read here, one NFF guy said Onyekuru? Is as fast as Kayode, to tell you that Kayode is their yardstick for pace so again I can repeat here and now that he is faster than Iheanacho. I watched the match highlights against Corsica and although people are so quick to condemn Onyekuru, Iheanacho missed two clear chances, one his pace let him down, the other he couldn't hit the target, let me repeat that last sentence, IHEANACHO WITH THE BEST SHOT TO GOAL RATIO IN THE EPL COULDN'T HIT THE TARGET, that's evidence of lack of confidence, his penalty too showed it, look at his face after scoring the penalty he felt so releived. But Kayode is the man on song right now, I remember when Costa was messing up, Spain invited Alcacer immediately and he started their games, football is all about form not quality

Which is why I don't think England should be his next destination. Right now he has a high degree of self-belief, which can plummet easily in England. He is talented no doubt. I can compare him to Messi to some extent. But Messi has that all-round quality -- a great team player.

The Francophone countries have direct easy express entry from thier local leagues to the French league 1.

The British approach to us is simply abysmal and downright denigration to call a spade a spade I would call it racist.

It's changing a bit eternally for Black African British players but to come from Nigeria NPFL to even League 2 is almost impossible.

Lad was injured and that alone delayed his debut for Wolfsburg. So I don't get this your on-and-off song....

Why go to West Ham when Everton is interested? A little birdie told me that Ronald Koeman wants to get him as a replacement for Ross Barkley who isn't gonna sign a new contract. And the plan is also get acquire Kelechi to replace Lukaku. My advice to Henry Onyekuru, the off season just started, be patience....take your time and make the best possible decision for your career.

Awoniyi? Ok now that's funny. I agree that Onyekuru is presently better than Oshimen. I mean Oshimen is playing for a mid table team in Germany where Leipzig is about to place second but this lad was wanted by perennial scotish champions, CELTIC!!! however I disagree that Awoniyi has been in better form than Oshimen

No we are not talking position here. Rather the use of available slots. I have personally read someone's grudge on the exclusion of Onyekuru while 'untested' Osimhen keeps making the numbers. And that's the bone of arguement.

How many of you felt sick in the stomach watching that game (at 0vs0 scoreline) when Simon wasted that chance with Ideye free beside him? And yes, Simon moses was once very much hyped too.

Please tell if Onyekuru does different in similar situation? He too does not pass and he doesn't play with his head up.
These coaches i.e Rohr see these subtle things we refuse to acknowledge hence their reluctance to invite sone of these players we hype and clamour.

And yes Belgium is BACK WATER.... rated according to their performances in Europa or Champions league. Even the Dutch with the likes of Ajax rate above Belgium.

Well like Mikael2 and tbaba1234 stated, I would have to watch him play and not base my conclusions on highlights......
Even though I'm pretty sure 90% of people hyping him here also concluded from highlights.

Much congrats to him though. I'd love to see him in the mix of the eagles.

But I just want to correct the notion of seeing a player full of speed and dribbles and suddenly hyping him beyond clouds.

Oduamadi, simon, Babatunde, Ejike Uzoenyi, Musa (yes Musa too was banging in goals in Russia) etc....

We never get tired. Many of us have not learnt to understand technical players and those who will go far from the onset. Even club scouts give us a hint when big teams table bids for the gems (Osimhen, Nacho, Mikel when he was younger) while Mid to bottem level players like Westham come after our hypees........

Conclusion:
All in all, we pray for the best for these boys and we pray they keep on progressing.....
But hyping a player beyond what he is.....is doing ourselves disservice.
