Oasis007: .......Strictly personal Opinion.
If I have my way, I will definitely drop Onuachu and Samuel from the List. I'm dropping the both because their departments are choked up; too many Wingers and Strikers in the Squad.
I will go with Ighalo, Osimhen and Iheanacho as Strikers. Onyekuru, Chuks, Simon and Musa as Wingers. Truth be told, Iheanacho would make the final cut, and perhaps could turn out the best for the Eagles as a Super-sub.
************************************************* I am not Rohr, but I think with the Calibre of Players we have in the Squad, I will play 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 Formation at AFCON.
Uzoho would man the Posts as first choice GK. The Quartet of Aina(RB), Balogun(CB), Ekong(CB) and Collins(LB) manning the Defence.
In Midfield, I'll play a Pivot of Mikel and Ndidi as DMs. While Simon would play as LW, Iwobi as CAM and Chukwueze as RW.
Osimhen will lead the Line as the lone Striker.
On the Bench, Awaziem, Shehu, Onyekuru, Musa, Iheanacho, Igbalo, Ezenwa shall be making the Cut.
If I need to sub off Osimhen, Ighalo would be my point of Call. If I need to sub off Iwobi, Iheanacho would come in for him. For the Wingers, Musa and Onyekuru are waiting to grab the Opportunity. Musa would be a direct Replacement for Chukwueze, while Onyekuru would be deputizing for Simon.
For Fullbacks, Shehu is definitely reserved to cover up as well as for the DMs because of his versatility. Awaziem would cover up for the CBs.
If I need to sub off Collin, Shehu would be subbed in to play RB while Aina would be moved to LB. If it's Aina I need to sub, then it's all good for Shehu to be a direct Replacement.
Note: if you want to quote this Post, kindly sheath your Sword, don't bring Dagger either. Be civil to criticize or critique it. Thanks. Not a bad set up, I will take out Simon and put onyekuru, Simon didn't do anything spectacular this season, infact he will be dropped along with Iheanacho, I can see so many of us still trust him but that's not enough, he did nothing all season. Onuachu should take his place this guy has worked hard to be here and we have to see what he can offer, when I say worked hard, I mean consistent all season. Awaziem, Ajayi, Simon n Iheanacho are the likely layers to be dropped, except injury says otherwise. |

iSlayer: They all play wide. They all bring flair. Not too different imo. And yes I think Samuel Kalu has the potential to rival players like Onyekuru and Chukwueze. In my opinion I think all three can still fit quite well, that's if Kalu is drafted to the midfield or RWB position since he is a good dribbler and also holds the ball better than other two. But I doubt if he will consider it. |

This team is abysmally poor, no atom of creativity, those people saying we are pessimistic for telling the truth clearly have not been following the game. |

charlesemeka85: The boy talented. He just need a move to Europe to enhance his game. He is a bit like chukwueze All am seeing is Ashley young younger brother, plays exactly like him, and not too good dribbling, don't expect too much from him. Best player today is Igoh, if this guy should pair ozornwafor next game and with that oforborh in the midfield we may finally get rid of those unnecessary long balls. This team is still shit and needs lot of reshuffle. |

Barryseal: Vanzekin Dele Adeleye Apam Onyeka Taye Taiwo Sani keita Mikel Solomon Abwo Jon Owoeri Isaac Promise Obasi Ogbuke Solomon Okoronkwo Subs
Monday James Gift Atulewa Kola Anubi .........
The above was Siasia's U20 team in 2005. Out of these lot, Mikel, obasi, Okoronkwo and Taye Taiwo were the foreign based, while the rest were home based. This team played some of the best football at that championship brushing aside teams with ease including the host nation Holland. Siasia achieved excellence with this due to his dedication to long camping of the home-based boys. At a point, he was paying these guys from his pocket and even went as far as pleading with state governments, Bayelsa State in particular, to donate to the camping of this team.
People call these guys Siasia players don't understand these players were ready to die for Siasia due to his personal sacrifice. But we are in 2019, we don't need the coach to go out of his way to build a team for the World Cup. I hold Nff responsible for this mess. You are right on point sir, siasia sacrificed a lot for this team to show you it wasn't a fluke he did it again at the Olympics. |

It's a lie oo, nobody can make any change in this team not one person it's a team problem, our brightest star bashiru was even the worst of all, makanjoula who they said plays like chukwueze no come sabi trap ball, the team as a whole was wrongly picked even the brightest player will be dimmed by these bunch of overaged players. |

Mickael2: You do understand that if Shaqiri leaves there will still be Origi, Lallana, Ox and Sturridge on the bench, all are easily capable of keeping Samu out of the team. Ox has returned from injury, except him to be the first sub in most games especially as he can play 'most everywhere. Then if you are a goal down, will you in your right mind sub in Samu ahead of Origi or even Sterling If Lallana maintains a healthy season, he will fight for the final creative midfield role leaving two core workaholics in the middle.
Bro, Liverpool letting Shaqiri go is because of Ox's return Origi just came back from loan so he is in form, he will definitely start ahead, Sturbridge has not been in form so he is on a downward trend, Lallana has always been an off and on player he won't be a treat, Ox is yet to pick form and I don't consider him a much treat also. Liverpool really lack this depth in terms of attack and they need back ups very fast, I don't know much about their academy, but players like milner and Sturridge are closer to their retirement and they need active young talent to fill their shoes as fast as possible, you don't expect Samuel to start firing immediately, he needs to learn firs and adapt, that's why they called it prospect. |

Barryseal: The problem is that Chukwueze may not be the ideal first option off the bench when Salah or Mane are unavailable or when Liverpool are chasing a game.
It's just like saying Phil Foden will be the first guy Guardiola subbed in when he's chasing a game. The stakes are too high to trust young players at these clubs especially with the way the previous season played out.
Arsene Wenger is the only coach in the world who will take such gambles and frankly speaking, this was the reason he didn't win much laurels as he should. Seems you haven't watched chukwueze, he is the ideal player you need when you are chasing a game. Players that are not afraid of taking on defender. When Iheanacho was at city he was brought and he scored under pelegrini his debut goal which happens to be the winner, against Southampton and Tottenham under Pep he came from the bench and scored also. If this guy could do this for star studded city why won't chuks do same for a Liverpool. |

If shaqiri leaves, Liverpool needs Samu desperately, Sarah n mane cannot play every game, it's impossible, man city won everything in England because of club depth not just depth but quality players sit weekly on the bench. Infact to compete next season Liverpool needs quality depth on the bench, let's not forget that they are not champions yet, they are still trophyless, it's basically same thing for the past 3 - 4 yrs. What do we think caused them to slip 7 points if not fatigue. |
