Which final ball??, he almost gave two assist na, just that it wasnt converted

Seedorf made a massive mistake subbing Njie who was a bag of t ickery and was handful for Aina
Ighalo came to the party today and he justified why Rohr has so much regards for him
Iwobi was not in the game in the first half but woke up in the second and got an intelligent goal, he also sprayed some passes in the second half
Overall seem Nigeria's best comes out against Cameroon
If we fail to progress I think Rohr should be retained for further development of the squad
What do u mean by retained??, please please he should leave, his pattern is so negative, always starting defensively.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by sontoly: 7:08pm On Jul 06, 2019
Coach always starting defensively, thereby putting pressures on the defence, bringing in a true winger changed this game.

What is wrong in putting oshimen for ighalo n Onyekuru for musa, its evident musa ran out at the 70min.
An a nice game from Ighalo today was impressed with the assist than the two goals.

What is wrong with the coach?, what offence did Onyekuru, chukwueze n oshimen commit??, is it becos they are young??

AFCON 2019: Madagascar 2 -0 Nigeria. Official post match press conference, Rohr unhappy

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is unhappy with his fringe players Victor Osimhen and Henry Onyekuru after a dissapointing loss.
He sited that he didnt like the attitude of the players, they show off. This shows you that he will never play them no matter what, even chukwueze who managed to play against burundi may not see game time again.

This is a clear case of bias and sentiments, the man is highly sentimental and this is not good for our team, I bet even if he manage to play them he will put them in the wrong set up to fail.

NFF should sack this man now!!

what is it with the back passes? no plan b ? as playing from the back didn't work out ? why is ighalo falling anytime he touched the ball? so many questions begging for answers
I thought I was the only one that noticed this, Ighalo leans on defenders so when they avoid him he falls, the madacascas were not push overs so he cannot bully them.

So Madagascar has world class players?

Truth is u dont need world class players to win a game just a team.
Coach killed us with his decisions.

I have said it before, Rohr is not a coach man is rightly the white version of onigbinde.
Starting lineup was nothing to write home about, why start Mikel in AM, not only that he played Ogu to partner him Lol, no wonder they moved like snail.

First u want to attack u brought in Ndidi for Ogu an Iwobi for Ogu and Mikel drops back would have been it. He just wasted that sub chance.

Secondly u brought out kalu for moses who looks more lively than musa, when u have chuks and Onyekuru, such a pity.

Am expecting him to be sacked though cos no coaching sense.

God bless you my brother. That Rohr is a very useless coach. He hardly change players! This is the exactly thing he did in world cup that made us lose against Argentina.
Against a more attacking and pressing team we will lose, or make unnecessary mistake, the man is so slow in changing players.

i am still scared for Rohr.... it seems he still don't know his players abilities and the roles that best suits them.

the play today was very poor.... and not encouraging at all even though we won.
We will celebrate the win, but if you look closely there was no atom of creativity in the team, the game was overall boring, the coach only sets up his team to defend and nothing more. If we play against a more attacking team, am afraid we will crack.

Simon very good RB but a very poor winger. Take him out then we can move forward, for now we will continue to be blunt in attack.

Top 5.
But permit me to add to this argument. This stat you gave was meant for country and not league ranking. The best valid point was to bring in Uefa league ranking. Knowing fully well that France won the world cup in 1998 they will be highly ranked.

Since the argument is about mickey mouse league and not country ranking.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by sontoly: 9:15pm On Jun 22, 2019
The coach made many silly mistakes and he nearly paid for it, Mikel should have played deeper and had no business going forward, for once I thought musa is coming in for etebo which shld have allowed Mikel to go deeper and control the mildfied this would have created stability. We could have lost or drawn this game if Burundi had taken their chances.

Secondly I still do not understand the relationship between shehu and rohr, he cannot tell me that shehu was fully fit before this tournament, he knows fully well that the guy is just returning from injury and now he is definitely out of the tournament before it even start.

Had it been we didn't see aina perform people will still say he is not ready .. Lack concentration bla bla bla...

In summary, if we eventually don't get to semi final that coach needs to be booted out.

Ola aina is baller, chukwueze phenomenal, omeruo showed he is here to stay.

Ighalo got it right the second time, we forgot he couldnt trap the ball musa gave him earlier, but nice goal today.

I think the coach did the right thing, at least this match shows that we are technically sound unlike in the past. The French was obviously superior but we held our ground, nice zonal marking and good tactics from the coach, pray we go far.

I guess Nacho rose to fame as one of the deadliest finisher in the EPL, having a brilliant scoring average in the EPL by learning nothing.

Clap for yourself.
Flashes of brilliant, he has talents way before the premiership debut, but you know talent is not good enough, you have to learn new skills to boost the talents you have, but lately he has refused to learn that's why he is down the pecking order.

Origi is 24 and still developing. Nacho needs this lesson now he has the chance to work with a tactical mastermind. Leaving now robs him of that chance.
That means he is a bad learner if he hasn't learnt anything for four seasons.

That is the mistake a lot of people make. I pointed out that Osimhen was improving at Wolfsburg even without playing time and I noticed it in one of the games against South Africa.

Keep in mind, Osimhen showed good form as soon as he joined Charleroi. Meaning the improvement was before Charleroi, not after.

Charleroi was just a platform to show what he gained training with the likes of Mario Gomez and Origi.

For now, Nacho has a brilliant striker in Vardy to understudy and also a brilliant tactical manager to improve his tactical insight. Going to a less competent manager is the wrong move.
Are you saying that at this age Iheanacho should continue to understudy till he retires, know that by 25 as a footballer you are expected to by at your prime and is expected to be stable by then.
At this age he does not need to understudy anybody he need to stand on his own by now.

Origi went on loan but when he came back, Klopp did not show him fate by given him games. Keep in mind the belief came after a long run training with Klopp.

Playing regularly does not guarantee improvement but training regularly under a system that suits the player and then getting games under the same system.

Jumping to a team for regular playing time does not guarantee that improvement.

The system and training comes first and Leicester City offers that with Rodgers.
Origi came back hotter from loan , you can't say training under klop was the factor, yes it can help but brother when u score week in week out regularly your confidence will come back I swear. Look at Oshimen that was wasting on wolfsburg bench getting injury on training pitch before even being played, now what is happening dude has been sort after by bigger clubs than he was before.

Regular play is the key, no two ways about it.

Going on loan by Nacho will be a disastrous decision. He is under a fine management now and adopting the coach's method is the best for him and possibly make the best of the limited chances he will get.

Going on loan will mean Nacho working with a less competent manager.
It is not about working with coach, it's about playing regularly, he has worked with guardiola and where did that lead him? On the bench. The more he sits on the bench the more he gets rusty, now someone mentioned origi, it had to take origi a loan move to be better, this was someone that couldn't make it under rogers.
Working under rogers does not guarantee improvement but playing regularly.

the best for nacho now is to get a loan move away from leicester. i believe a move to a decent la liga team will get him back to his best.
This is what I wrote earlier, no better option than to take a loan move, he is not going to get better at Leicester, the problem he has is regular playing time and probably his attitude.

It seems some coach don't take him serious cos of his jovial nature.

Aina yesterday did very well far better than shehu could have done, the guy is an intelligent footballer compared to is competitor na, I wonder how people will use yesterday game to rate player.

On a good day Kalu, onuachu and Collins would have played better had it been we played in a football pitch rather than political campaign ground we played yesterday with the rain adding salt to injury.

It shows that you have no idea what Rodgers is about. From his time at Swansea, he did not bend his style of play and has built a cult following to his philosophy. He does not play any other way but creative, offensive an possessively.
Don't worry, when they start losing and his ass is at stake that's when you will know what am talking about.

Shakespeare wanted to play attractive possession football but was fired cos of it, puel tried it in the first season but reverted back to default mode, let's watch and see what Rodgers will do.

Personally kelechi problem is not playing at all, he needs regular football to boost his confidence and be happy, and I don't think he can get it with Vardy there.

No one is talking about a lot of goals but lessons he will learn from Rodgers which I have hammered as key for footballing success.
Rodgers will play his style of games for a while but immediately Leicester start loosing they will return to default settings which is long balls and relying on counters.

If this news is true then that's a good decision by Rhor he made the right choice.

Now what is left for Iheanacho is to pick himself up and do some personal development. Moreover I don't believe scoring in preseason will help his predicament, dude was the best player for Leicester in preseason last time. As far as Vardy is the chosen no striker can upstage him, the whole Leicester playing pattern is built on counter attack and not possessive football, one needs to have blistering pace to succeed but nacho can't be compared to Vardy on this. Not playing will make him look helpless and in turn kill his moral, therefore leading to lack of confidence.

Iheanacho needs to move to another club probably on loan till Vardy quites QED.

I do not agree that Kc and Osimhen are better than Ighalo, presently. One could argue that they're more precised in front of goal, but when every other attribute of a striker is considered, Ighalo trumps,it isn't hard to see.
Chai, Ighalo fans always supporting him even when he is misfiring. I believe there are other reasons why they do that apart from footballing reasons.

Because right now Oshimen is the best Striker we have at the moment

Honestly, I am having a feeling that Iheanacho will perform well in Egypt, if he plays behind a Striker. I wish to see him play in a 2-Man attack with Osimhen.
One thing is we like to rely on luck and we hope too much. If Iheanacho is dropped it will be for his own good because he will have to concentrate on personal development. That's if he knows what is good for him.

That nations cup should be meant for people in form not people hoping to use the avenue to pick form. What if he goes there and soil himself more and come back worse than before.

I feel Rohr should move Semi Ajayi to the midfield. We lack enough personnel there. Dropping him will be unfair because of his recent form.

I have a strong feeling Rohr won't drop shehu and I hope Rohr's faith in him will be repaid with a good performance because shehu to me hasn't really performed up to expectation
Believe me, if Shehu doesn't play well in this Afcon, that's bye bye for him, his club just went into relegation in Turkish league for that, I know Aina is far better just that he doesn't play jam body as required by African football.

Moreover there is ehizibue who just moved to Germany, I wonder why he hasn't been considered yet.

How can Onuachu take the place of a winger? If he has to be dropped it must be for a winger and not for a striker.

If you are insisting on performance then Awaziem and Ajayi should not be dropped.
I think onuachu for Iheanacho, even if it is to stay on. The bench, think Awaziem just had game time after moving to rizespor, and for Ajayi he seems not to be used in preferred position, so he is a makeshift mildfielder that position is choked that makes him dispensable.
