The fact is I have shown with evidence that it is an all season, all terrain tyre, right from Dunlop website.
I have also shown that Temperature B tyres are not unacceptable, with a reference provided from NHTSA, at least they are not a Nigerian regulatory body.
I have shown that the tyres are well within the legal speed limit, for both the speed rating and temp/traction rating....even Temperature C tyres, which this isn't. Fact is Temp B tyres are only expected to show stress on sustained speeds of above 180km/hr. Shikena

Lastly, this is not for a Benz or Ferrari, it is for a Highlander, Honda Pilot and some other cars that call for it. I bought the full set when one of my BF Goodrich tyres got damaged irreparably, meaning I have one already fitted to the car, for over 8months now, and zero issues. So no, I ain't returning it, and I know it will serve whomever will use it and doesn't plan to consistently do over 180km/hr in their daily commute.

I have a 2012 inline 4 Honda Accord coupe, car has been an absolute thrill, zero issues, no stress until three months back, travelled out of town for work, spent a little of three weeks, car was undriven during the whole time. came back and all hell broke loose, first AC wouldn't changed the in cabin filter, Flushed and refilled, Problem solved, had issues cranking the car, battery was on its way out, so I replaced. Issue now is the car is slow as f**k, overtaking and hill climbing is such a chore, especially when the engine is under load(AC on).
Yes i have scanned, yes check engine is on. Don't have the results as i wasn't there but mech said its only cold start sensor that appeared under powertrain codes.

Its a little better if i put the selector in D3, As advised by my mechanic i've replaced the following:
1. Injector nozzles(All 4) with a complete assembly from oyingbo
2. Cleaned throttle body(process was a b***h because i took forever to successfully relearn the correct idle position )
3. Changed all 4 spark plugs twice(Honda branded first, NGK next)
4. Two faulty distributor wires
5. Transmission Fluid Change(Did the recommended flush and refill x3 couldnt get DW1 for the 2nd but have drained and refilled with DW1)
6. Fuel pump assembly
7. Throttle Position sensor
8. Air filter
Even after the car still accelerates like a diesel truck, mech is tired says to just manage it like that. I'm a loyalty person so i haven't changed mechanics but i'd be open to doing just about anything to solve this problem. I'm in Lagos, Gbagada to be precise.
NB:
Noticed that my upstream 02 sensor is disconnected, plug is broken so i couldn't connect myself, took it to my mechanic and he says replace, Paid twice but he say's he can't get a working one and advised against going myself because i'd be easily swindled on a part like that, read about the open and closed loop operation of oxygen sensors so could this be the culprit?

If you are saying the manufacturers of a time tested brand don't know what they are saying, you have to come to the table with a whole lot more than just an opinion. 1. New macks failed not cos of diesel quality but cos of dpf and quality of engine oil used. They require low ash (SAPS) oil. Owners and mechanics here just didn't know how to maintain them. Google low SAPS oil. Same owners were throwing Total Rubia S into their trucks.
2. Same truck owner mechanics will advice car owners to discard efi and use carburetor. Do the maths.
3. Do you even own a fleet or a single truck or are you basing this on them say, them say?
4. Where did the "new mack" owners buy their diesel? Who were their suppliers? Do you know where their suppliers get their diesel? Cos you see this diesel supply business eh, e go shock you. Nothing is as it seems. Leave that side. Na another school entirely.
5. Dangote trucks do not run on imported diesel. Julius berger trucks do not run on imported diesel. Don't just accept whatever you are fed. Run your own investigations. Throwing DHL name around will not lay credence to your fallacy.
6. Again and for the last time, go and conduct your investigation thoroughly, arm yourself with verifiable facts and stop throwing around baseless claims.

Truck rotors fail even in the mighty USA with the best diesel.

They are electromechanical devices. They fail. They are not perfect. And some of the h its here in nigeria has seen hundreds of thousands of miles.

Fleet owners are actually happier now than before. Diesel quality has actually improved tremendously.

Mack trucks are still everywhere in the country. Fleet owners have bought newer trucks. Do you know how old some of those Mack trucks were?

Sino, howo, and other Asian brands offered credit facilities and payment plans to many Fleet owners who ditched their older less efficient Mack trucks for the newer Asian models. That's what happened.

Dangote has been exporting and will continue to export. The refinery was actually built to export as well as serve domestic needs. It wasn't build it to meet "nigerian" quality.

PAQ:
Some cars are made with bad gearboxes from factory, the rest is a failure on our part in maintenance. all gearboxes should have their oils drained and refilled every 30000 miles for rest of mind. Whenever i change my cars and want to have my oils changed mechanics will start asking why? e don dey give problem? why u wan change? They know what is the best but will rather have you wait until it gets faulty. Even the manufacturers have succeeded in sealing the gearbox, making it difficult to check the oils, then even tag their oils lifetime.

I drive a benz glk 2015 but recently I cleared one 2012 Rav 4 from the port and mhen it was just peppy and responsive I got to do a comparison and noticed that it's the fuel that came with the car from abroad. Nigerian fuel is the lowest grade possible and it probably illegal abroad I wonder what fuel they are exporting to other countries because this our fuel is just to move the car it's not truely a driving experience

The fuel at the pumps in nigeria today is from dangote.

What's the octane rating of dangote fuel?

The difference in sulphur levels between euro 5 and euro 6 is not enough to damage your fuel injectors.

For diesel equipment that use dpf, maybe and its highly debatable.

I like OPs posts. They are quite educational. I hope he doesnt spoil it by making wild claims.

1. Electronic Control Evolution – From the late 1990s onward, Toyota moved from simple hydraulic systems to more advanced electronically controlled transmissions (13-pin, 30-pin, etc.). While this improved efficiency and fuel economy, it also made the gearboxes more sensitive to heat, poor maintenance, and fluid quality.
2. Improper ATF Usage – Many failures trace back to using the wrong transmission fluid. Toyota ATF WS (World Standard) is mandatory for most modern models, yet many workshops substitute it with Dexron III or other oils, which shortens gearbox life.
3. Neglected Service Intervals – Owners are often told Toyota transmissions are “sealed for life.” In reality, the fluid should be replaced every 40,000 – 60,000 km under Nigerian driving conditions. Failure to do this leads to overheating and premature wear.
4. Used Gearbox Imports – Most “tokunbo” (foreign used) gearboxes already have high mileage before arriving here. Oh Oh, so i guess leg pull is not a one car brand thing. Ok please like o asked earlier, from your own personal view, which brand, type and year of car should i go for please?

I want to upgrade from a corolla 2010 to a Honda 2015 or 2016, but the leg pull matter convo all over discouraged me, so thought of going for a camry 2013 to avoid leg pull.

But three days ago i saw a lexus Es350 leg pull like honda, and just today saw a corolla 07 leg pull like honda, i was not wondering whats happeneing, seems no car is safe from the leg pulling matter.

Other factors that contribute to fuel consumption in a car are:


1.) Excessive friction in the engine due to wear and tear as the engine ages and use of wrong engine oil.

Also some engine oil are thicker than others and therefore they give more resistance to the movement of the engine parts which then leads to more power usage, hence more fuel consumption. This explains why new model cars consume lesser fuel due to use of lighter engine oil specification with better efficiency


2.) Bad O2 sensors

3.) Reduced efficiency of catalytic converter as the car ages, or complete removal or absence of it

4.) Worn out tyres causing more friction and uneven movement on the road

5.) Poor combustion due to wear and tear and poor engine maintenance

6.) Other factors like driving attitude

Surely, I can easily get the engine oil but my other concerns are the axel oil, adblue and any sensors that may render the SUV useless.

Diesel engines in a Range Rover have been doing thanksgiving for Dangote Diesel. They can now be termed as the had to get. No more dirty adulterated low cetane chemical that has destroyed so many luxurious vehicles in the country. That said, engine oil is the most important thing to watch out for. The Castrol C1 or C2 is not available in adulterated version but you have to look for the oil in C2 specifications. The adblue gives it an edge over environmental concerns as it limits the car from being on the road if it does not meet up with the specifications of the manufacturer. Always be concerned about the level of the adblue in your car and then beware of the axle oil expecially the front as we have had cause to change the front axle countless times. So far so good, Diesel is good in the country and it's the best time in the country for a fuel economy ride.
