Autojosh, long time. I thought you were in the abroad. As a user of most of the vehicles listed, I will say that the writer is wrong. The Gl450 Mercedes balloons is 45k two years ago. So I don't understand where he got the information from. As for the Range Rovers, the LR3 has no such problems he described. In fact it's one of the best of the models. If the Sports is OK on his list, then the Lr3 should be very okay as they both share the same engine, gear and drive line. All the German cars mentioned here are fuel related issues and they cannot survive even with the current fuel sold by Dangote. The 2015 range rover is the sweetheart of all and the likely issues are created by managers fortunate to own the brand. Range rover owners are supposed to be directors and not the managers that drives it around. A common issue is the towing. Because of the full time 4x4, you can only truck it by a flat bed van but alas, you see it dragged on the road. That is the beginning of the end of the car until you spend millions for the driveline. Let the twitter user update his knowledge as to the reasons for their failure.

My friend returned back to Nigeria with his oyibo wife and children. Six months later, the wife was approached by smart guys who offered her to be the head teacher of their school. She accepted and automatically the school status changed and it became a foreign school and the fees increased and it was now a British international standard. And parents sent their children there. I believe that it is the parents who carried chairs on their heads to school that are paying for their children to be in that school and similar schools.

Ibusa is the same as Igbuzor. Ibusa corrupted form by the British from its original name Igbuzor.

The first question is why was he not informed that his vehicle documents will soon expire. Someone is collecting N200 for Sms notifications without doing the needful. Imagine all the registered vehicles charged that amount and doing nothing about it except sharing it among themselves. A lot of motorists are now getting new number plates in neighbouring states because of the failure to notify. I got an Sms notification from Osun State that my vehicle papers has expired. Lagos should do the needful.

The era of good Force Pro are over. I recall when the police came to my office in Ikeja with a search warrant and I looked at the warrant and the address was no 30 instead of 36b. I told them that it was a wrong address and no 30 is further down the road. The leader of the team took biro and corrected the error and wrote 36b and I told him that it has been voided by his alterations and he should go back and get a fresh warrant. They were still at the door and they were 5 officers. I locked the door and they started hitting the door and called for back up. I called the Force Pro then Young Are a men of blessed memory that his boys want to raid a media. He asked for the station and I told him Area F. He told me to follow them when the back up arrive. I eventually followed them and he has already called them and when I got there, the DPO that sent 10 cops to my office was very courteous and jokingly asked who is that man that did not allow his boys to do their job and I told him that na his boy without a gun. We finally resolved the matter without any incentive given to them. This was in 2004, then we had Haz Iwendi, Isreal, Olakpe, Ighodalo and Mba. Finest of the best. I recall Jimoh Mooshood displayed 5 hausa boys as killers of Oshiomohole's secretary in Benin and that they will be charged to court. Till now, the accused have entered voice mail. It is a difficult task to defend the police but carefully is the word.

It depends on what is the issue. The earlier models was a 6 speed type for which you can transmit to 6 at 145miles per hour and the 8 speed type on the newer models, I tried it on Kano Zaria road and I quickly realised that I am still young and my next new wife is still in her father's house, so I respected my self 😀 😄 😉

This is the car season. Our fuel that has been destroying the car since 2005 has now been phased out. That fuel made them shut down in Nigeria. Dangote to the rescue

Buy the 2006 to 2009 range rover sport (HSE) not SC. And upgrade it to a 2012. I drove one for 15 months. The only issue I had was overheating caused by a damaged thermostat. The first thermostat I bought was fake, until a guy from Ladipo brought the original, hit the thermostat slightly and installed it back. That was the end of the overheating issue. Very rugged car, no unnecessary sensors. I dropped my e70 (bmw) for it because of electric water pump issue.
Avoid all those 2014 upward, na wahala motor.

I nor gree accept the opinion. The 2014 upward follows the same pattern like the older version. Engine oil and cooling system. It will mess you up if you want to manage. If it says 5w30, it must be 5w30 of the top range. Range Rover is not for managers but Directors.

I just got a 2006 Range Rover Sport and noticed there's oil leakage when it is parked. I spoke to a technician and he mentioned that it's the gear oil leaking and the cause needs to be traced.

What do you advice?

Merry Christmas to all, the pump in the gear is most likely and the oil seal. If it is the pump, it will be resolved easily but the seal will bring down the gear

If you are buying below 2010 model, we have the right fuel for the brand thanks to Dangote. Oil is expensive or you get the imitation for cheap prices. Gear, engine and air suspension are the 3 components you need to check before you buy.

Saw something that was awesome. A 2011 Range Rover Sport bought brand new in Nigeria and rarely used for 13 years. The tear rubber scent is still there, we did the first oil change since 2011 yesterday and the oil filter was still as brand new. It's good to buy new cars..
