Petrified235555: Hello. Guys why is Australia student visa fee so expensive like that? It's a deliberate measure by their government to control migrations and cut application workloads. On the bright side, their VOs now have relatively more time to assess applications distinctively and meritoriously. |

papalasun: Thanks for the insight. Please I want to find out if All universities require GMATs for MSC (Business Administration) A significant number of Canadian universities don’t require the test at all, while others may waive it for you. In either case, you should check directly with your school.

papalasun: Thanks for your response, Moreover i don't understand what you mean by lack of academic progression and the SOWP
As a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist, after completing a master’s degree at a Canadian university, one will still need additional certification, internship, or professional training before becoming fully eligible to work. However, studying at a polytechnic, it easier to write the Medical Council or licensing board examinations and obtain eligibility to practice immediately after 2years graduation. My major concern is that I heard only postgraduate students are allowed to travel with dependents. What I really want to understand is the best pathway that would allow one spouse to work while the other studies
Husband holds a master’s degree in Business Administration
Wife Practicing Medical laboratory scientist {MLS)
Thanks What I meant by your lack of academic progression is that, since you currently have a BSc in a similar discipline, your proposed Advanced Diploma may not be viewed as a step forward in your academic career. Regarding the reason you stated above, which I bolded, are you expected to practise in your home country or in Canada? Are you applying for a Study Permit or a Work Permit? This is a typical example of the contradictory details people often include in their SOPs, which can work against them. Please ensure that you understand the regulations governing the study permit you are about to apply for.

papalasun: Wife and kids.I know it’s possible for post graduate programs but I want to find out about Advanced diploma in a polytechnic if dependents are eligible to travel also Note that even if your study permit is approved, despite your lack of academic progression, your wife won't be eligible for an SOWP. Of course, she can accompany you to Canada on TRV/VV, but she won't be able to work, which is a financial aftereffects you should consider.
Your kids, if they're minors, can old visitor records. |

papalasun: Hello house,
I want to find out if a student with an MLS as highest qualification applies to study for Advanced diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology at a polytechnic in Canada, will the student be eligible to travel with dependents during the course of study? If I understood you correctly, you have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, and now you are about to regress to an Advanced Diploma in a closely related field. How would you defend your purpose of visit and your study goals? Why not consider a Master's program?

My qualifications are;
1) Diploma in Computer Engineering
2) B.Eng in Computer Engineering
3) M.Eng in Computer Engineering
4) MSc in information Technology
5) Age: 42 years.
Do I stand a chance for PhD?
Presently looking at Australia, Finland and Canada.
Please, put me through as I'm new to this travel stuff.
Thanks Of course, you stand a chance. You have multiple advanced degrees, which show you're academically prepared for a PhD. Besides, there's no maximum age limit for an Australian PhD admission, so nothing is stopping you.
Let me know if there's any other ways I could help. Good luck! |

Kenny4smart: Hi everyone, just a quick one please 🙏
I submitted a PhD application to the University of Sydney from the UK. The admissions team has now requested additional documents, including the completion of the GS Assessment form and evidence of financial capacity, such as bank statements or a savings certificate for either myself or my sponsor before my application can be processed.
Has anyone experienced being asked for financial documents at the application stage? I was under the impression that these are usually required only at the time of CoE issuance or visa application. On the contrary, it's increasingly becoming a usual practice among Australian universities these days. Send them a bank statement of account that shows liquid funds that cover your tuition and living expenses for your first year, plus travel costs. You can also attach a sponsorship letter if you're not self-sponsored.
Wishing you good luck.

Oghenerukoko: Good morning. I don't know if I should say I am new here because I've been following this platform since last year and have been able to get my admission from the posts I read here. Kudos to Soltech1000, Okonkwobestman1, Sopwriter, Gloriousange. I read all of you posts one by one. I want to start my visa and I have questions.
1 We are family of 4 and all our children are minors. If the money is not the problem, would you advise me to leave my family behind or apply with them? 2 Will my wife and children need their own PAL?
Thank you 1. I understand money isn't a problem here, but note that your ties are equally important. Applying with your whole family might make the visa officer doubt whether you will return to Nigeria. However, you could go ahead if you have strong anchors like property, business, or extended family back home. Regardless, I would still recommend you apply alone for now and establish that you are a genuine student enrolled in a DLI before bringing your family over.
2. Neither you nor your family needs a PAL. Your wife is applying for an Open Work Permit (not a study permit), so she doesn't need a PAL. Your minor children can hold visitor records, and a PAL is absolutely unnecessary for that as well.
Wishing you good luck.

Ngozi0009: Sorry I have a question. UK or Canada which one is cheap to enter. Which one is easy that I can enter this year? Ngozi0009: Good evening. I want to try Canada because I can become a citizen easily after I graduate. I want to know if Construction Management in Conestoga College is a good course. Will I get employment with this course? Going by your recent posts, I can say that if you have naturalization in view, Canada is generally considered easier and faster than the UK for an international student. So, you likely made the right decision. However, the last time I checked, Construction Management was suspended at Conestoga College, so you may want to revisit your choice.
As for whether Construction Management is a good program, I would say it is. But like most engineering-related fields, employers tend to require practical experience. That said, it’s still very much worth it, especially when you consider the ongoing infrastructure growth and housing demand.
If I might ask you, what was your undergraduate program?

Teeore: Thank you for your reply. In a case where first year tuition is paid, can you add that to the funds available for stay? Yes, your tuition deposit is part of the funds available for your stay. You could also create a table highlighting the total funds required for your first year, what has been remitted, what is left, and your mum's current account balance, and upload this to your Proof of Finance section.
