There seem not be enough embarrassment for the Nigerian Olympic Committee as Team Nigeria was wrongly dressed for the opening ceremony of the ongoing Rio Olympics.
Going by reports making the rounds, the athletes had to wear tracksuits to the ceremony due to the unavailability of the traditional attires.
Other African countries were robed in their traditional attires and showcased their cultures to the world, but Team Nigeria surprisingly came in their green and white tracksuits.
Reports going round suggest that the traditional attires did not arrive Brazil on time for the athletes to wear.
This comes just days after Nigeria’s Dream Team VI failed to respond as a wrong anthem was played as they filed out for the preliminary pleasantries against Japan, in their opening Group B fixture of the games.
