Good morning guys, i think it will do us more good if we start exhibiting certain degree of tolerance towards each other. Team spirit which happens to be one of the vital qualities they (FBN) are looking for in a candidate has to do with TOLERANCE which i can see from my little assessment is lacking in most of us, please let's cultivate the habit of tolerating each other right from here. FBN holdings is the parent company of First Bank Nigeria Limited and its subsidiaries (which is under FBN holdings' commercial banking group), FBN Quest and it's subsidiaries (FBN Merchant Bank Limited, FBN Capital Limited, FBN Securities Limited etcetera), and Insurance group and it's subsidiaries (FBNInsurance, FBN Insurance Brokers and FBN General Insurance). Hope it is clear now?

This page has been very interesting and insightful, tanx to the gurus and employees of First Bank. However I need to know if this graduate trainee program includes First Bank retail banking and her subsidiaries? (First Holdings, First Quest, First Capital, First Securities and so on).
I want to be sure the recruitment is not limited to commercial banking.

Sir, FBN Holdings is not a subsidiary of First Bank Nigeria, but rather First Bank Nigeria limited and its subsidiaries which include its branches outside the shores of Nigeria, First Pension Custodian Limited and FBN Mortgages Limited is under the commercial banking group of FBN holdings, another group under FBN holdings is First quest and its subsidiaries which include but are not limited to FBN Merchant Bank Limited, FBN Capital Limited, FBN Securities Limited etcetra. The last group under FBN holdings is it's insurance group and it's subsidiaries which includes FBN Insurance, FBN Insurance brokers and FBN General Insurance. Thanks

"Batch of candidates" is that a singular or plural statement?, I thought it is plural. Since obviously the candidates are several, that should ascribe it the plural form yea?

sir, a "batch" is a collection of candidates which makes all the candidates under that "batch" to become one (singular) and that's why they used "has" not "have". thanks

From the above mail, it means I'm not part of the first batch that were invited this week, I would love to be invited like the 4th batch onwards

PS: Did anyone else notice the grammatical howler that HCP made in their email? Its in bold in my copy of their email which I pasted here. HCP, I hail o!

they are correct sir, they used "has" because of the "batch" which is singular in that sentence which came before "candidates". they could have decided to just state the sentence without including "candidates" and "has" will still go with it, something like " ...the first batch has been invited for this week". had it been they said "...BATCHES" then that's where they should have used "have" instead of "has". thanks

With my experience with HCP and First Bank. Prepare urself for Assessment Centre. It will comprise intray test group discussions, Presentation (u may be asked to prepare a slide on ur final yr project in d university). Also there wud be written test somwat similar to wat u wrote in December.

pls, will the PowerPoint presentation stuff be done individually or in group?

hi guys, I applied for first bank graduate trainee program and I was invited for an aptitude test which I wrote in December last year. so , yesterday they sent me an email that I have been shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process. please what should I expect and how do I prepare for this next stage? is the next stage also another exam or what? thanks
