Hello lovelies, In Africa, food is the fastest way to a mans heart. He can get sex anywhere, but good food will keep him coming back. Some millennial men seems to be a bit ok with the millennial wifey kind of fast food, but most men still love awesome swallow especially when they are at home. A bowl of pounded yam, fufu or eba with a nicely prepared bowl of vegetable base soup can woke that side of him that seem to be gone due to everyday stress. There are a lot of vegetable soup out there, but so far, Edikaikong Soup seem to be the real vegetable soup. By Edikaikong Soup, I mean the vegetable soup made by the Ibibios or Efiks people of South South region in Nigeria. The soup involves a lots of preparation and honestly, requires one to be a very good mood to get the consistency right. It's delicious, nutritious, and full of essential vitamins only when eating fresh. So here's my hands down recipe from my grandma on how to make a tasty Edikaikong soup. I kg 5 bunch of Pumpkin leave (Ugwu), 500 g water leaves, 2 handful Ntong (scent leaves or Effirin, I kg Assorted Meat, Ponmo, 200 ml (2 cups) Palm oil, I medium onions, I Cup of periwinkles, Head I Large stockfish, 2 Medium Sized Smoked Fish, 6 fresh Yellow pepper (pounded), I Cup pounded Crayfish, 1/2 Cup Dried Shrimps (slightly pounded), 1 tbs black Pepper, 2 stock cubes, Salt. Steps Before cooking, I like to pick, wash properly and allow to drain then slice all the vegetables. Ugwu, water leaves and scent leaves. Put each in separate bowls. Wash you Meats, seasons accordingly and cook till almost tender, then add the washed Stock fish head and cook... Make sure the meat stock is almost Dried...we don't need water in the soup, cause the water leaves and palm will generate stock for the soup. Before the stock Dried out completely, add water leaves, pour in the palm oil, add Periwinkles, pounded fresh pepper and stir properly. cook for 3-5 mins. (Ensure you don't over cook the water leaves) Add in Ugwu, scent leaves, pounded shrimps, smoked fish, black pepper, stock cubes and stir the content of the pot very well..Cover the pot and leave to cook for 5mins Lastly, according to my Grandma's recipe, you add the pounded Crayfish and taste for salt, give it a stir and that's it.(pls be mindful of the salt and stock cubes, cause vegetable soup can easily become salty) Remove from fire and enjoy with Fufu, Pounded Yam, Semo, Samvita or even Eba. If you are too busy to prepare a bowl, you can order for edikaikong soup online and Soup Embassy will deliver it to your home in Lagos or Abuja |

Others supporting the APC Senator's Proposal For An Agency For Repentant Boko Haram Terrorists to be created just like the Niger-Delta Militants. The argument however is that the Niger Delta Militants were targeting facilities and installations while the Boko Haram Insurgents targets people. The number of deaths caused by militants throughout their campaign is barely up-to what the Boko Haram killed in just one year. Aside that, the Niger Delta militants seem to have a 'justification' for their acts against the Boko Haram Insurgents who are bent on converting others to their beliefs. SoupEmbassy: |
The Northern Youths are probably Demanding for a Probe Of APC Senator Who Proposed Agency For Repentant Boko Haram Terrorists to ascertain if he is an accomplice or has any illegal contact with the Boko Haram. We're not asking the military to kill them and we're not asking them to be jailed for life. We just are saying it's not wise to release terrorist who probably may have been operational for several years. Deradicalizing them will take more than the proposed duration. If they'll be granted amnesty, they should be put through two years of trade / skills acquisition training in a very comfortable correction facility. I'm sure they'll be reformed after the training. tsephanyah: |
Northern Youths Demand Probe Of APC Senator Who Proposed Agency For Repentant Boko Haram Terrorists. The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has urged relevant agencies to thoroughly investigate Senator Ibrahim Gaidam over his proposed bill seeking the establishment of an agency for repentant Boko Haram terrorists. President of AYCF, Yerima Shettima, told Guardian that the bill which scaled first reading at the Senate is a “stupid” piece of legislation. “The proposal is stupid and the sponsor of such a bill needs to be thoroughly investigated,” Shettima said. “If government cannot cater for the direct victims of the Boko Haram suspects or address a situation where the soldiers that are risking their lives to contain the insurgents are crying over poor welfare package and the Senate is debating how to grant amnesty to the suspects, it speaks a lot about the characters ruling us. “Nigerians must be ready to interrogate the intention of the person that sponsored such a bill,” he declared. The proposed bill was introduced by the Senate leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, during plenary on Thursday, February 20, 2020. It seeks to give legal backing to the process of reintegrating repentant Boko Haram terrorists into the society. Boldtar News Online |

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D4_0n9VXkAAudii.png Seven days ago, Soup Embassy signed up with @paystack to receive payment for an order made by a customer who was abroad and needed to order bowls of soups for her mother here in #Nigeria. While checking out, she used COD instead of opting to pay online via the installed payment gateway. The customer was not comfortable about paying online because she fears that entering her card details may expose her to data theft. After reassuring her that her our payment gateway is secured, she asked for a link. Unfortunately, we can't do that using the payment processor. Then we thought about the @paystack "30 Minutes" hype. We decided to give it a try and in less than 6 hours of signing up, we processed orders & received about N75,000 seamlessly. We didn't even have to call the guys @PaystackSupport for help. We got the payout when it was due. It might interest you to know that at a point, we had reservations about @paystack, but this suddenly changed our view of the Y-Combinator Alumni. We are very satisfied with how this new solution has expanded our options to collect payments. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/D4_04wZXsAcAjqZ.jpg Soup Order and Soup Delivery |
Labaran Maku once again showed that he is still the most popular candidate among the three major contestants in the forth coming election. Here are pictures from yesterdays flag off in Lafia. Former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, has again joined the Nasarawa State governorship race despite loosing to the incumbent Governor Almakura (APC) in 2015. Maku on the other hand assert that he won the election in 8 Local Governments, but it was manipulated in favour of Almakura by desperate influences. Maku, who is the National Secretary of APGA, left the PDP where he served as commissioner, deputy governor and Minister to join APGA when he was rigged out of the primaries in favour of the least of all aspirants on ethnic and religious grounds. Maku ended in second place beating the PDP candidate with a very wide margin in the state during the 2015 general election. It is belived that it is his results that was swapped for Almakura. Maku notwithstanding the outright robbery of his mandate in the polls and the tribunal is in the race again for 2019 and so far is the most popular candidate among the top three A.A. Sule (APC) David Ombugadu (PDP) and Labaran Maku (APGA)). Commentators are of the view that he may find it difficult to win because he is contesting in a political party that is not popular within the region. However, the wide support he is getting across the state shows otherwise. Nasarawa is also known to be a very politically conscious state and looking at past trends where former Governor Doma was voted out in favour of Almakura in an unpopular party (CPC) despite being an incumbent in the ruling party while the same election returned a dominantly PDP House of Assembly shows that the vote was per candidate not party. Random polls both online and offline shows Maku leading and closely followed by A.A. Sule. The PDP candidate is last of the three usually with about 20-25% of the votes. For Maku to win with a good margin, he will need to go into a coalition with the PDP to avoid the Osun kind of scenario. Maku have a better chance because the APC candidate A.A. Sule is not widely accepted because he was imposed by the Governor. What might help him will be the ethnic and religion politics that has engulf Nigeria and the Northern states. His rejection is connected to the fact that he is originally from Bauchi state and not Nasarawa state. So far his marketers are trying so hard to convince the Mada people that he is their brother lol. See pictures of his supporters in the rally as shared on his Twitter account >>> https://twitter.com/RealLabaranMaku/
