Peace is such a wonderful word. It brings about change, a change in mindset, a change in behavior and a real humbling sensation within. When you say peace , it means drop all the weapons both physically and verbally. Peace makes you go deep within yourself and you realize, I don’t want all this anymore. No more fighting, no more verbal attacking. It means that you want change because all the fighting hasn’t done anyone any good. Peace will affect you if you are in a war or a war on the streets or a war with your neighbor. Peace means dropping that weapon, that grudge, that hate and embracing everyone irrespective of their race,religion,tribe,etc... To have outer peace you have to find inner peace first. You have to sit down and realize the circle that your exterior self has brought you. You have to melt away the grudge and the hatred that had been killing your soul. An eye for an eye doesn’t work anymore. You are not the one that holds the other person accountable. There is one above you that make that decision. By you doing the evil that someone else does, puts you in the same category as them. It takes a stronger man to see things and walk away rather than take everything in their own hands because you probably just destroyed your own life. And that is a shame, because you probably haven’t had a chance to live it yet. Here is a test for you, you can try two things. First, walk up to someone and shake their hand and introduce yourself to them. What is their reaction? Where they shocked? Where they afraid of you? Did they smile and introduce themselves back to you? This tells you how you have led your life and how you need to change it. What is your reputation? Are you happy about it? Whether you know it or not, people look up to you and you have to set a good example for them. Show them what you are truly made of. Peace brings unity to others that are struggling. So, put the weapons down, talk only with respect to one another, everyone deserves that. How can I help you today? That’s a powerful question. It doesn’t mean that you have to have money; it means can I carry your groceries in for you or how can I lighten your load. That’s it. And with that one little deed you have just united with someone you’ve put a big smile on their face and warmed their heart. Violence is never an option...A nation at war can never be a happy place to live in..Don't we deserve to be happy?

I'm sure you already know what you want,so no matter what anybody tells you,you and only you will choose to make sense of it.... As regards if you are living right,i believe only you can tell yourself what is right or wrong. Do you think the boko haram sect will agree that killing people is wrong? I think it's better the people of the affected states should first be educated on the dangers of following the ideology of this terrorists(boko haram), they should be well sensitised about peace.... The securities should also work hard and halt the dastardly acts of those terrorists.... Then the northeast can be rebuilt...if not,it will just be money down the drain... May God protect our securities who are risking their lives to protect us..Amen.. |

There are ways to pass messages across without having to insult people for pete's sake...you,not being a fan of his administration doesn't give you nor any opposition the right to call him names...Respect begets respect...Aside being an ex -president of Nigeria,he is elderly,and so must be shown some level of respect... davien:No sir,i ain't contradicting myself...when I say "believe in what you want to believe in",it simply means, you as an individual should do what is right, or should I say what your conscience tells you is right,not what another person tells you is right or wrong,because there are so many interpretations to verses in all holy books.. if you believe there's a God somewhere then you should know you alone will stand for judgement, nobody else will be there to defend you... ,but if you don't believe there a God,just live by your conscience... The writer has made his points known to all who care to listen to him,i don't support his use of abusive words though..and some of you are quick to label him yoruba because he doesn't support the movement? So you people against his write up think all ibo's are for this biafra movement,and anybody against it is yoruba? Funny way of thinking. He asked some questions nobody is yet to answer,but all you people do to defend your opinions is insult people who do not share same opinions with you...that's a really bad kind of attitude, you must be opened to all kinds of opinions,,choose the ones you want to respond to,ignore the ones you don't want to, and engage your opposition in intelligent discuss devoid of insults.... Glad to hear he is still alive even though I didn't believe the initial post about his death.. I begin to wonder what's with this fake journalism these days,many people want to give out news at the expense of another person's welfare/life..and the most annoying part of the whole fake news thingy is the group of people who are quick to believe such posts and make horrible comments without verifying the news...we really have a long way to go if we continue with this kinda attitude... . 1 Like |

if only the senate and house of reps positions were made a per time duty,where it's only sitting allowance that is paid to each member,also each member must be an individual with a good working experience,an achiever, then, we would not have all this mess being displayed up there......because it will be only people who have meaningful contributions to make for the growth of the country that will be there... One begins to wonder when you ask a member,"what's your occupation?",then he/she replies: I am a senator...Really? Generally speaking,believe in what ever you want to believe in,just make sure you do good deeds and speak good whilst still here on earth,rather than use your mouth to say evil and also act evil,then be caught unaware when you die... The holy books talk about respecting our elders, so also tradition...Where did our school teachers, religious leaders,parents, go wrong?how come the youths of these days are so comfortable insulting their elders to the extent of calling them names?clueless, daft,dullard,amongst many other names... ...Sometimes I wonder what the Islamic leaders all over the world are doing...what do they preach to their followers? Let them all come out and condemn this heinous crimes,because I doubt this religious war crimes are part of their ideologies... every religion has its extremists,its left for the true leaders to come out and educate them.. |

was the APC radio station ever set up? Some people don't have problem with the biafra radio station,the problem people like SOUPF have is the hate speech being propagated through that channel,not all their programmes though...if you want to be heard, go through the proper channel,not by instigating violence and war...read through history and see what war caused many nations...War is never a solution to any problem...There is strength in unity and peace...God bless Nigeria... 1 Like |
