I'm happy that film got snubbed. Cos all it was just vibes and insha'Allah in that category. It's not bad. In fact it's good but I feel it's massively over hyped compared to the other competitors.

This is one I'll think about for days. Great and intriguing show. Not really a fan of dark thrillers unless it's totally about criminal investigation but I stayed glued to this one. Absolutely loved it.

Let's say you're right and they didn't know anything about the subject until they did a little research. After ingesting what they discovered, are they still at ground zero with people like you? Of course, none of them are experts, nor have they ever claimed to be, but there is a difference between not knowing something and having basic knowledge.

I swear, the animated series is so good. We know that the fire nation soldiers were powered up by the comet, but they weren’t just going to kill a bunch of airbending masters in one go. If you take a look at monk gyatso’s clothing, it’s pretty clear that he only took one hit, even though he had to deal with more than 4 firebenders at a time. I think he must have sucked all the air out of their lungs or pulled off some other sick shit to make them useless, you know, something an airbending master could do.

Remembering how monk Gyatso went down in the animated series. OG.

When the movie comes out and it sucks and the fans of the original descend on it. They'll complain about fans comparing it to the original, as if they're expected to simply wash their brains before watching their adaptation. They won't give up now and implement an original idea.

I just finished the third episode. The acting is so ass, they don't even look like family and there is barely any chemistry between the two characters. I can totally imagine Sokka pulling her hair while landing backshots inside the air temple.

It was in this thread someone said that the actress who plays Katara might not have a future ahead of her. That guy is such a prophet, how did he know so early?

I have been having arguments on Reddit about this series all day.
To compare ATLA animation with this is not worth it because at this point no one can do what the animation did. If they tried to replicate the humor, it'll be worse than it is now.
So I try to compare with other live action like th Last of Us or One Piece; unfortunately, there's no comparison- the story is sooooooo full of shit bro, acting was so baaaad even from the older actors, background sound design was the worst - just insulting

You haven't compared it to Game of Thrones yet. Thats the main reason for this show. It's supposed to be on par with Game of Thrones.

Truth is that, this is a movie it wouldnt fully adapt to the cartoon, cause the cartoon was all funny and nice but the film shows some dark sides we might not have gotten as a kid then.
1) zuko relationship with his uncle from the death of iroh’s son, it showed how humanly zuko was till ozai burn his face.
2) it showed how azula was also a victim of her father’s psychological abuse and how he demanded too much.
3) showed the Air temple genocide

Can the show improve? Yes sure
Is it a bad show? No it far from it


To be fair most critics are from the OG fan trying to replicate their younger self emotions.
