My mother used to cook beans, but before she cooked the beans, she picked the bad and dirty beans and threw them at our backyard and only cooked the good beans. But when the rain came, the dirty and bad beans became seed and grew up and looked beautiful; interestingly, that same person who threw them away started harvesting them; and she starts to see that the beans she threw away some time ago had value. Now let me tell you 1. Don't cry when people throw you at the backyard, 2. Don't cry when they reject you, 3. Don't cry while they are looking down at you. 4. Some may see you as burden. 5. Some may say you are too dull. 5. Some may say it was because of your past mistakes .Don't worry. The rain is coming and the same people who are rejecting you will invite you. God loves even those that are left out and looked down upon. God will bless you, just stay connected to him and everyone will see how valuable you are.. YOU ARE LIFTED.

WHERE WE STAND (About COZA?) Thoughts walk around in my mind: A lady wets her nightie manually, nightly... Yet thinks she's a virgin. And so shouts "All fornicators to repent!" A man's hand squeezes out his potency in the bathroom...secretly. But in the open he has children in the Lord. Can't you see, Most times the accuser is more guilty. "We want justice!" Yells the Pharisees But how do you seek justice from a raped system? A nation where some headlines are head-lies Where people die by bus and their corpse are transported for burial in aircrafts. But here is the problem: Scandalous times are tricky times; If you keep your mouth shut evil may prevail Same time, talkatives are abaters of Evil's agenda. A woman caught in the act, and none doth cast a stone. Free she walked. Here, our stones are all cast While the master writes on the floor. And the case is yet decided. RUGA is advancing in the odza room Yet even guilty men fancy words for Coza Soon, Big Brother will kidnap our time. Such is our taste for frivolities. Enjoy! Be warned though... We will be driven from the very places we find worship and joy... When our lands are taken and our faith slaughtered. The example of Turkey will be clearer than ever before. Why not "stand for" instead of "with"? Stand For justice... not with sentiments. For equity...not with emotions. For true federalism... For true democracy... For true religion.... The freedom of it...not subtleties from children of the bond woman. Stand! ...For The Way, The Truth and The Life. This is where to stand. Some things are too deep to fathom: How do you know a headline is not a head-lie? What if the accuser is the one guilty? What if the person you're "Standing with" is crawling? A sagging trouser needs not to be pulled down. Tell it not in Gath! Give it time, it will fall on its own. ....if it was a sagging trouser in the first place. I stand for Peace...and Her Prince. |

A fuel tanker belonging to Total company was coming from Aliade axis and had a fall around Ahumbe settlement area on Aliade-Makurdi road. The tanker fell across the road, covering almost the entire breadth of the road, with only a little space left on the right side of the road. The tanker DID NOT catch fire however fuel had already started to leak out. Both the driver and conductor of the tanker were still around the vehicle. The villagers DID NOT attempt to take fuel from the tanker. A Toyota bus was coming behind from Aliade axis. The villagers signalled the bus driver to slow down. They told him that oil had leaked and poured on the road so he should NOT use the tiny space left on the right hand side of the road but instead follow through one of the houses to the other side of the accident and continue with his journey. The bus driver said he could manage and pass through that space without problem so he went ahead but when he got to the place where the oil had spilled, the hot exhaust of the bus touched the oil and the bus exploded into flames killing every PASSENGER onboard. The villagers tried to put out the fire and while they were doing this, another explosion from the tanker injured and killed some of them. I feel so sad right now... so very sad. The Questions and lessons: 1. Could these deaths have been prevented if the bus driver had listened? 2. Could the passengers in the bus have been saved if they were reasonable and courageous enough to come out of the bus and allow the strong headed driver to drive through that dangerous spot alone? 3. Could the villagers lives have been saved if they weren't trying to rescue fellow human beings (strangers) in danger? 4. Will the relatives of these passengers ever know what happened to their loved ones if they fail to arrive their destinations? ************************** It is the Lord who protects and rescues us daily from danger. May He give us the grace to avoid the dangers we can see and may his mighty arm continue to protect us from danger. ************************** Thank you for journey mercies, Lord. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://thenationonlineng.net/dozens-burn-to-death-as-fuel-tanker-explodes-in-benue-community/amp/&ved=2ahUKEwiX0sbtw5TjAhUHesAKHRq5B-AQFjAAegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw1l0HNvQfURKzqCzEFRCPTQ&cf=1

So nairalander what's your take on this issue ![]() |
When one is naturally handsome or beautiful, and then such a person begins to exhibit pride as if he or she did anything special to merit the looks, it is quite annoying. Similarly, if one finds his/herself to be naturally not as beautiful as others, he/she is not to go about head bowed, a-sorrowing. Honestly, you didn't create yourself. My thoughts on this issue are that, what one cannot control should not become determinants of one's outlook at life. I would rather that everyone works to add value to their lives on a personal scale. Develop yourself at something. That, everyone can do. If you flaunt your beauty, or sorrow at your unattractive looks, remember that all natural looks will fade with time and age. You know what won't fade, your personality and capacity which you've built. If people patronize you today only because of your beauty (which you also heavily depend upon), what becomes of you when the beauty begins to diminish, or when younger beauties emerge? Competition will always come right? Please ask NITEL how she carried herself when she was the only kid on the block; then ask her how things have been since the President Obasanjo government allowed younger and more attractive girls like MTN, Globacom, etc on the telecoms market. See, in real life, I have met some really handsome guys and beautiful ladies with intimidating brains and talents. I have also seen some not-really-fine dudes who have looked beyond the seeming facial deficiencies and consciously develop an overcomers mentality with tremendous levels of success in many different fields. I believe no matter your looks, you can strive to be known for something great, by developing yourself in one area or another. Strive to excel at something and remain there until you achieve the said success. Leave the realm of using your looks to survive, and venture into the realm where one skill or the other becomes your specialty - your looks, (if fine) only reinforce your skill. |
