@OPS stop discouraging others, every discipline has his or her own importance, example, The critical, analytical, moral and rational thinking dat you would get from the humanities. business and sciences can't give you, and vice versa. Note, not everybody would study business and sciences, they must be balancing of discipline. Which is exemplified in the NUC 60:40 ratio for sciences and humanities respectively. |
Afam4eva: I've heard Nigerian people say things that suggest that knowing how to speak good english suggest that one is educated. How's that even possible. You see ladies saying things like "He's a nice guy and speaks very well". He speaks very well means means he speaks good english with a foreign accent and not Igbo or Yoruba. So, Why does speaking Good English translate to one been educated and smart. Can't someone who doesn't speak English be smart?you don't know the importance of english because you are in the science's but those in the humanities (arts) do. |
Any BSU dude in the house |
ijeoma100: "Demonic afflictions" are just words made up by the ignorant to describe a medical condition that they haven't a clue about. Because a doctor can't diagnose/cure a disease doesn't mean it's caused by demons - medical science has never claimed to know everything and death and disease are inevitabilities of life.so in essence you are trying to say that people don't die in the western world were there medical facilities are world class. Have'nt you ask yourself the question why india are the greatest in the world right now in terms of medical expertise, "simple it is because of buddism and hinduism" more importantly katrina! |

We nairalanders should consolidate on the success of the award winning collaboration of phyno and olamide (ghost mode) to stop this hatred that is existing btw the igbo's and the yoruba's in this forum, because if we are united we can make extra-ordinary things as exemplified by phyno and olamide, if you believe like this post (we have grown more than this) |

A dog was so faithful, that the owner who is a woman could leave her baby with it and go out to attend other matters, she always returned to find the child soundly asleep with the dog faithfully watching over him. One day something tragic happened. The owner as usual left the baby in the 'hands' of this faithfull dog and went out shopping, when she returned, she discovered rather a nasty scene, there was a total mess the baby's cot was dismantled, his nappies and clothes torn to shreds with blood stains all over the bedroom where she left the child and the dog shocked, the woman wailed as she began looking for the baby. All of a sudden she saw the faithful dog emerging from under the bed, it was covered with blood and licking its mouth as it had just finished a delicious meal. The woman went berserk and assumed that the dog had devoured her baby without much thought she beat the dog wood to death, but as she continued searching for the "remains" of her child, she beheld another scene close 2 the bed was the baby who, although lying on bare floor, was safe and under the bed the body of a snake torn to pieces in what must have been a fierce battle between it and the dog, which was now dead. Then reality dawned on the woman who now began to understand what took place in her absence. Dog fought to protect the baby from the snake, it was to late for her now to make amends because in her impatience and anger, she had killed the faithful dog. LESSONS how often have we misjudge people and torn them to shreds with harsh words and deeds before we have had time to evaluate the situation? Little patience can drastically reduce major life long mistakes. |

Once upon a time they was a greedy man who won #10million in a national lottery, he was so greedy to the extent that he did'nt want any body to know that he had such money (even the bank). One day when he wanted to travel he dug a hole under a tree and hide the money there, he then snap the portion of the ground that he kept the money and travelled away, while on board the plane he was going through the picture of the ground that he snapped and suddenly he saw somebody on the tree under which he hide the money watching him. If you are the one what would you do |
