Special Adviser to president Buhari on media and publicity, Femi Adesina says the 82 Rescued Chibok Girls have arrived in Abuja to meet with President Buhari.

Adesina said the girls were received By Abba Kyari on behalf of the president.

"82 Chibok girls now in Abuja. Received on behalf of the President at the airport by Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abba Kyari. Congrats Nigeria" he tweeted.

In a bid to stop him from driving off with a side chick, an unidentified South African woman climbed her husband's car bonnet and held on even as he drove on the road.

The trending video shared on facebook by Norah Pitje has gotten several reactions from online users.

Norah wrote; "This woman found her man with his side chick. She somehow jumped on the car and the idiot man protecting his side chick so badly drove with her on his bonnet"

The public display got the attention of a crowd who later convinced the woman to come down from the car.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the first lady thanked Nigerians for their support, while assuring everyone that the president has not abandoned his responsibilities.

I wish to inform everyone that his health is not as bad as it's being perceived, Meanwhile he continues to carry out his responsibilities during this period. The personal assistant to President Buhari on new media, Bashir Ahmad has described as false a recent report by Sahara Reporters on President Buhari's health.

The online publication in a report headlined; "Buhari Has Difficulty Drinking And Eating, But Cabal Won't Let Him Travel For Urgent Treatment" alleged that the president's effort to travel abroad for treatment has been frustrated by a cabal in Aso Rock

But in a statement on Sunday, Mr. Bashir said that Nigerians do not need to worry about the president's health status.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday 27th April, 2017, arraigned one Onuoha Danhessy Akachukwu (alias Joe Dickson) before Justice J.K. Omotosho of the Federal High Court, sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on a 6-count charge bordering on Conspiracy and Obtaining Money by False Pretense to the tune of Five Thousand Two Hundred and Sixty American U S Dollars ($5,260).

Onuoha Danhessy Akachukwu (alias Joe Dickson) is alleged to have used false Facebook accounts to defraud one Maria Jose Alvarez, an American of the sum of Five Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty American U S Dollars ($5,260).

The defendant who claimed to be an American Engineer based in the United Kingdom hoodwinked his victims by establishing a romantic relationship which according to him, will lead to marriage.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.

In view of his pleas, the prosecution counsel, R.E. Alao asked the court to fix a date for trial.

With the defense counsel absence in court, Justice Omotosho adjourned the matter to the 18th day of May, 2017 for hearing and ordered that the defendant be remanded in prison custody.

Three suicide bomb attacks occurred at three different locations in Muna communities in Maiduguri namely Muna Usmanti, Muna garage and Muna Ethiopia respectively.

The incident occurred around 4:11 am which led to the death of five persons while 11 others sustained injuries.

Among the dead persons include 4 suicide bombers and civilian JTF. The injured persons were taken to General hospital for proper medication while the dead bodies were deposited at the mortuary by Nema and Sema emergency response officials.

A federal high court sitting in Abuja today granted bail to Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The presiding Judge, Binta Nyako released Mr. Kanu over his health condition.

However, his bail came with strict conditions which includes not being in a crowd exceeding 10 persons or granting any press interview.

The Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday received Capt. Ademilola Lola Odujinrin, the first African man to fly solo around the world, at the State House in Abuja.

Lola, who works for Air Djibouti completed his entire circumnavigation in a Cirrus SR22, stopping in more than 15 countries on five continents, returning to Washington DC, where his journey began back in September.
