Hello House, I want to apply for the Express Entry program, I have opened an account with the Canadian Job Bank. I have paid the necessary fee to WES,sent my credentials and as I'm sending this mail, my credentials has been received and it is being processed now. I have also registered for the IELTS test and I'm scheduled to write it next month. What I would like to know is if I get my IELTS test result and I do well in it. What next? Is there any fee to be paid to CIC for the processing of my application? Let me also point out that I have my letter of employment offer, reference letter, payslip, statement of account e.t.c. One other thing, has anybody in nairaland applied for any of the canadian immigration program (FSWP,NSNP,EE) through a paid representative in Canada? What is your experience with them? Can they be reliable to help someone through the application (even though I know they will demand for a fee) and not defraud a person? Is there any document called the Express Entry Interview and what is it about? I just want to have more information about this whole immigration process. |
deniyor:Just a question pls, after your degree, will the temporary work permit still be effective for you to work for a certain duration till you get a better job.How does it work out. Just for clarification sake.tnxs |
OrlandoOwoh:Atleast he gave us an international airport. One can travel from anywhere in the world and land at Enugu without either coming from Lagos or Portharcourt. No President has ever done it for Igbos. He gave us train that runs from Enugu, Portharcourt, Aba,Umuahia. One can travel comfortably at a relatively cheap price by train and avoid travelling by road where drivers will squeeze you 4,4 in a seat or 5,5 in a seat uncomfortably. No President has ever done this for the South-east region. Johnathan has enriched and touched so many Nigerian Youth lives through SURE-P GIS, YOUWIN,MDG WAP e.t.c which a lot of Igbos and Nigerians benefitted. This feat has never been done by any President that has ever ruled and governed Nigeria not even during the time of Rtd General Buhari. @OrlandoOwoh, you know the truth, PDP is working in Nigeria and Johnathan should be left to complete what he has started.Igbos will vote massively for him. That,I can bet it with you. |
biikeys:@biikeys.Thank you to reply to my post. Carlifornia is the State I was asked to concentrate on as I mentioned earlier, I have relations in that State. Please,if you are very conversant with American Universities Carlifornia State University Sacramento, San Francisco State University, Carlifornia State University East Bay are they Mid to Low Tier Universities or does anybody have any knowledge about these universities cos these are universities I've been limited to apply to. Thank you. |

@justwise, hello house. I know dis may not be the right place to bring up this question, but I can't find where to drop this question. Since there are so many nairalanders studying in the States and I am aspiring to study in the States, I guess I have to ask my question here. I have a GPA of 2.45 in engineering. I want to do a Masters in Engineering. Most of the Universities i want to study at (particularly some institution at carlifornia,b'cos i've got relations in carlifornia. The idea is to stay at their place and go to school) are requesting for an average GPA of 3.0. What do I do, how do I apply to do a PGD in these universities, has anybody had this kind of issue b4 and how did they overcome. This opportunity presenting is only for this schools within sacramento and east bay. Please, I need advice and help to go about this issue before the closing of the admission for spring reaches. Thank you. |
@suxes2006,hello house My aunt in USA want to send me a letter of invitation to come over. She also said I should let her know what other document she need to provide. I am currently unemployed in Nigeria and i don't know which document I should ask her to provide. Please, I need the house to advice me on what to tell her to send and how I should go about this. I would also like to know if it is possible for a guy who does not have a job to get visa travel down to USA.I have also not traveled outside the shores of this country. How do I go about it, where do I start and what should I tell her. My Aunt want me to come over there and apply for a Masters. Thanks for help and your advice. |
@damkollin, solomonwis, hello in house. I'm applying for the Canadaian Federal skilled workers program, although I just started the application this month. I've paid for the Educational Credential Assessment through WES and I was asked to submit my WAEC Credentials but unfortunately, I got to WAEC Office Yaba and was given the information and method of how I can go about requesting for the transcript to WES. I came back again like on the 26th and was told that WAEC has closed for the year.I just paid for the IELTS Exam and I'm scheduled the write the test on the 29th January next month. It takes about 4-6 weeks for my university to forward an ex-student transcript to an international organisation and my Aunt in Canada just came back to the country for the holidays. She is suppose to help me with the proof of relative document the CIC are requesting for and the information I have is that, this program will run till April 2015. My question is this. 1. Is there a timeline for one's application to be submitted to the CIC 2. If there is, what do I do to keep my application without being disqualified, maybe as a result of late submission. 3. Can I use a relative who is a citizen of USA in replacement of someone who has a Permanent Resisdence in Canada. Thank you. |
Hi, My Aunt want to send me an I.V to come down to the USA next month, and currently I just got layed off from my job. I want to ask bro(your candid opinion, do I have a chance to apply for a visit visa as I am not working at the moment. Also, how do I go about it if she send the I.V to me). Thank you. |
Hello Solomonwise, I recently applied for the Canadian FSW Program. Fortunately and unfortunately for me, I just got layed off in current employment in a telecommunication company (Actually I'm a telecoms engineer) as a result of downsizing. My challenge is this, I contacted my boss and the HR requesting for reference letter, they both said they can't issue me a reference letter because I'm no longer a staff of the coy. I pleaded with them but they have refused still. I want to ask you, what will you suggest I do now, because I don't really know what to do about it. I'm suppose to get a proof of fund of about 2M in my account and then print out a bank statement. I don't have up to that in my account now. I was given an option to present a DEED OF GIFT stating that someone dashed me the 2M and the money will be in my account. I have made arrangement for this likewise but the agreement is that I refund the money back to the owner after getting the bank statement. My question is this again, if I tender this bank statement to the Canadian government, do they take the pain to make research on the information you are giving to them if precisely you have that money in your account. I will appreciate it if you help me trash this issue.Thank you. |
Well, its a good idea for Govt to pay the unemployed, yes, buh i don't tink,it is the right time to start doing dat.Cos,they are still so many things to be done in Nigeria b4 one can start tinkin about dat.First of all,Nigeria has to atleast double her current GDP/economy in the shortest possible time. Secondly,Nigeria has to eradicate, corruption, boko haram in the North,Kidnapping in the South and speed up the development of the Northern part of Nigeria by reducing poverty and creating jobs for its massive youths,i think then we can start thinking of this idea. Anyway,Govt have sum programs like youWin,MDG(WAP),SURE-P which i know of the create opportunities for Nigerians. What i will advice is for a policy that will enforce all State and Local Govs in Nigeria to create opportunites in there various States and Local Councils. |
