Eraytee:Thank you for your response. I am really grateful for it. However, I think I should throw more light into why I am not comfortable with including my payslip and SOA. My organisation have not paid any of their workers for 5 months. Whatever cash that is in my account was gotten out of personal hustle from other side runs. If I go ahead and print, there will be nothing depicting that I earn a regular monthly salary. I'm still with the organisation because of the side runs which has been keeping me going. This is the reason why I'm not comfortable attaching that document. |
Good evening house. Please I applied to Humber College to study Information Technology Solutions as PGC and I am about submitting my online application next week. My Aunty {my Father's younger sister. She's a divorcee with one dependent who has graduated from the University and probably working now} lives in US, is sponsoring everything about my education. This is my FIRST question; Is there any need for me to submit my payslip and my statement of account to IRCC even when my sponsor is taking care of the bills? To be honest, I don't have that kind of money in my account. My Aunty on the other hand have paid my tuition for one semester. She has also forwarded me all her bank details and documents of the few assets that she has which includes, a plot of land in Lagos and her house in America. She's ready to take responsibility of all my expenses {atleast for one year till I can get a part time job to pay for my fees for the second year}. How can I arrange my application in such a way that I don't need to include my payslip and statement of account to the Canadian vo? [even though I plan to include my employment letter both in my former place of work and my current organization, reference letter from my employer stating that I shall be going on a 2 years leave without pay to further my education] My second question is this; My Aunty is still waiting to receive her tax returns from the States. Because I've read in this forum that it takes an average of 17 weeks for an applicant's student visa to be process, I want to submit my application next week. She on the other hand is expecting her tax returns on the 19th of next month. I want to know if I can go ahead to submit my application. Then when she gets her tax returns, she will then send me the papers for inclusion under the statement of account. Note: What she has as savings is $19,000 after paying my tuition for one semester. What she's expecting from tax returns is about $9,000. Please is it possible to include other supporting documents after submission online? Please I will be grateful if someone can help me with an answer. Thank you. |

Apparently emboldened by its triumph over Nigeria in the dispute over the oil-rich Bakassi Peninsula, Cameroon may be gunning for another territorial booty in Akwa Ibom State, writes BASSEY ANTHONY from Uyo When news filtered in some weeks back that some communities in Mbo Local Council of Akwa Ibom State were under serious threat of annexation by the Republic of Cameroon, not much attention was paid by government to the unsavoury development. And now history is about to repeat itself as it is still fresh in the memory of Nigerians, particularly indigenes of Bakassi in Cross River State, whose villages and communities were finally ceded to Cameroon in 2008 after a long-drawn legal battle between Nigeria and the Central African country in the International Court of Justice at the Hague. The ICJ had declared that the Bakassi Peninsula, rich in hydrocarbons and other natural resources belonged to Cameroon. The ICJ based its judgment on the controversial Anglo-German Treaty of 11 March, 1913, the Yaounde11 Declaration of 4 April 1971 and the Maroua Declaration of June 1, 1975. And thus Cross River State lost some of its communities to Cameroon with the attendant displacement of its indigenes and dislocation of their economic and cultural existence. Of course, the ICJ judgement had grave implications for Cross River State as it lost its littoral status and place as one of the oil-producing states in the country with the result that its revenue from the 13 per cent oil derivation has dipped drastically. There have also been unconfirmed reports that Cameroon is still laying claim to some communities in the northern part of Cross River state, which Cameroon is reportedly insisting that the Obudu Cattle Ranch Resort and other adjoining lands belong to it. Now the central African country is spreading its expansionist agenda to Akwa Ibom State, which also shares boundaries with it. A week before last, a member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly representing Mbo State Constituency, Samuel Ufuo alerted of plans by the Cameroonian government to forcefully claim 16 communities in Mbo Local Council. According to Ufuo, the government of Cameroon is trying to claim about 16 communities in Mbo mangrove island of Akwa Ibom State. He stated that the mangrove island, which hosts 16 villages of Effiat clan in Mbo, is currently under the administrative control of the Cameroon authorities, a sad condition which is happening as “a result of the expansionist policy of the Cameroon government.” On a daily basis, some of the people of the area, according to the member representing Mbo in the Akwa Ibom state House of Assembly, Samuel Ufuo, are being killed by militants anytime they attempt to react to their predicament, while scores of others are terrorized, dehumanized, deprived of their rights and privileges as well as maltreated by the Cameroon government security agencies. Ufuo, while presenting the situation of the hapless Mbo people during plenary, last week, when the report was reread for deliberation under matters of urgent public importance, expressed worry that the affected people, who are still living in their villages established when there was no Nigeria or Cameroon as countries, would be allowed to be so humiliated. The AUTHORITY can authoritatively report that due to the seeming negligence of the Nigerian government, some indigenes of the Mbo are considering taking up citizenship in Cameroon to save themselves the trauma of repeated molestation by Cameroonian authorities. This, he said, was gathered during a meeting between stakeholders of Mbo Local Council and representatives of the National Boundary Commission. During the meeting at Enwang, Mbo Council headquarters, stakeholders called on the federal government to officially delineate and demarcate Nigeria’s maritime boundaries with Cameroon. The stakeholders said delineation and demarcation of the boundaries would forestall further annexation of their communities and molestation of their people by then Cameroonian military. They decried the laxity exhibited by the federal government in correcting the nation’s boundary with Cameroon13 years after the judgement of the International Court of Justice. Some of the stakeholders at the meeting were former commissioner for information and governorship aspirant in the 2015 election, Prince Chris Abasi Eyo, former Surveyor General of the state, Mr. Eyo Esin, former transition chairman for Mbo, Mr. Solomon Effiong, member representing Mbo in the House of Assembly, Mr. Samuel Ufuo, Mbo transition chairman, Sir Cyril Etuk and village heads, youths and women from communities affected by the looming annexation. The stakeholders said youths of the area have vowed to launch assaults on Cameroon if the federal government fails to stop Cameroonian authorities from further encroachment on their territory. In their words, “we have been confronted by our youths who themselves or whose family members have repeatedly been molested, raped, or exploited by Cameroon Gendarmes, to grant them leave to fight back at Cameroon; overtime we’ve said no. We won’t say no all the time. If we are not protected by our government, then we will have to protect ourselves and our territory.” They called on the federal government to establish a military base at the current operational boundary of Nigeria and Cameroon until December when Presidents of both countries had fixed for the final demarcation of their maritime boundaries. “We encourage the federal government to establish a joint security base at the border between Nigeria and Cameroon to stop Cameroonian authorities from further invasion of our homes. Funding of such operations should not be done as peace-time security funding,” they said. “The atrocities committed by Cameroon Gendarmes are unabated because security provided by the Nigerian Navy at Forward Operation Base at Ibaka is not compact. It is embarrassing that whenever security of the communities is threatened and you reach out to the Navy at Ibaka, you will be told by the officers that there is no diesel to power their boats. On many occasions it is the locals who contribute money for diesel for the Navy.” The stakeholders gave the names of Nigerian Communities annexed by Cameroon as Ine Odiong, Inua Mba, Ine inua Abasi, Ine Usuk, Ibekwe, Itung Ibekwe, Akwa Ine Nsikak, Ine Ekeya, Ine Ebighi Edu, and Ine Etakisib. Others are Atabong, Akpakanya, Ine Okobedi, Ine Atayo, Ine Akpak and Abana. The NBC’s fact- finding team led by Mr. Moses Onyoh also met with the village head of Abana, Chief Nyong Etim Efa, who told the team that though he was appointed a village head by Akwa Ibom State Government, he has also been given certificate as village head by Republic of Cameroon. He said Cameroon authorities have been collecting taxes from the locals. “The Cameroon Gendarmes have placed taxes on all the communities,” he reported. “In Albana, we are demanded to pay N500,000 per month. The last time they came to collect the money and found out that I didn’t convene a meeting to raise the tax, they raped my wife, beat me up and later detained me in their cell.” “For our youths who resist them, they cut their fishing nets into pieces and seize their outboard engines,” he agonized. “We are weakened by repeated molestation from Cameroonian Gendarmes. We are seriously considering taking up citizenship in Cameroon, since the Nigerian government won’t protect us.” Narrating their ordeals in the hands of the Gendarmes during the latest invasion of communities in the Mbo mangrove island, Mr. Etim Asuquo Eyo said they were left with no sources of livelihood. “On Saturday February 27, this year, we experienced the worst onslaught on our people. The Gendarmes raided our homes, raped our wives, seized 10 outboard engines (eight 40hp & two 15hp), eight bags of crayfish, stole money from our homes,” he sadly narrated. “After the incident, it has been difficult for us to eke out a living as we don’t have money to buy new outboard engines and fishing nets.” The NBC team later visited the Nigerian Navy Ibaka Forward Operation Base, Ibaka where it was received by the commanding officer of thebase, Captain A. J. Siyanbade, who told the delegation that there was no community currently within Nigerian territory which the FOB Naval command did not have access to, adding that Abana, one of the communities allegedly annexed by Cameroon was not within their area of operation. The NBC’s team leader, Mr. Moses Onyoh assured residents of the mangrove island that report of the fact-finding will help the federal government to address the issues. The contention as to where Nigeria has it boundary with Cameroon keeps blazing more than a decade after the ICJ’s judgement. From findings, the International Court of Justice after ceding Bakassi peninsula to Cameroon, in article 18 of its judgement pegged Nigeria’s boundary with Cameroon on the maritime at Rio Del Ray River, called Akpa Usakedet by locals. Nigeria’s current operational boundary with Cameroon is on the Yafe River, formerly called Akwa Akpa Ikang ye Effiat by locals. This is about 40 nautical miles away from Rio Del Ray River where the ICJ gave as Nigeria’s boundary with Cameroon on the North- East of the gulf of Guinea. http://authorityngr.com/2016/03/Again-Cameroon-threatens-to-annex-another-Nigerian-community/ |

dupyshoo:Hey @dupyshoo, thanks for your reply. However, I want to understand you clearly. Are you saying that even if I use the both NOC Code as 6 years of experience, I will still get the same maximum score as someone who has 3 years experience? Please, I will appreciate your clarification on this. Thank you. |
Hello House, Please, I have a small issue which I'm looking for a good advice to go about it. I have my ECA report and an IELTS test score of an average of 7.0. I also have 5 years work experience under NOC Code: 2241 and 1 year work experience under NOC Code: 2281 (Which this is my present occupation) . Is it possible to use the two together in order for it to count as 6 years of work experience? I'm yet to officially submit my profile under the Express Entry Program as a Skilled Worker. I would like to know my odds before I do. Thank you House. |
It was a rather strange occurrence or should I call it bizarre? A man was said to have committed an offence that could send him on a permanent visit to the guillotine. But, fate intervened and he got a chance to stand trial. Chances were that he could by some stroke of luck to walk free. However, he was ‘sorely tempted’ by Satan and he elected to steal an item belonging to the prosecutor right at the venue of the trial! Well, that was what happened last Tuesday, the 16th day of February 2016, at a division of the FCT High Court of Justice, sitting in Apo. As the Chief Prosecutor of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. J.C.A Idachaba, O.C. Legal, FCT Police Command was robing (dressing up in his lawyer apparel) outside the courtroom, he dropped his IPhone on top of his case files. In rush to don his wig, gown and hurry into the courtroom, he did not realize that one of the armed robbery suspects sitting close to his file had adopted his phone. At the end of the day’s sitting, the Police Chief wanted to make calls and suddenly realised that his phone was missing. One of the court staff dialed the phone and it rang but nobody picked it. Then he recalled putting it on silent mode before leaving for court that morning. At that point he had gotten agitated but again it was suggested that he might have left the phone in his office. Off he went but alas, after ransacking his table and searching everywhere he could in his office, the phone was not found. Then he got his secretary to call the court staff to tell them his phone was not in his office and that he was on his way back. He got back to the court and the search began. Eventually the phone was traced to Kuje prisons and guess what? It had been sold. Any further guess? It was sold to an alleged Boko Haram suspect for N25, 000 right there in Kuje prison! But you ask, how and where did somebody in prison custody get money from? Well, your guess is as good as mine. Anyway, when the phone was tracked down to Kuje prison, Idachaba sent word that his phone must be retrieved and come Wednesday the 17th, he got his IPhone back. The Authority Law gathered that prison officials often connive with some of the inmates particularly the ones that have access to money. In fact, Boko Haram suspects are said to have outside sources who supply them with cash. It happened that in the course of ferrying the phone to the buyer, an official who acted as a go-between saw Idachaba’s photograph, removed the sim card and quickly notified him. He handed the phone over the buyer anyway and N25, 000 exchanged hands. All said, the men were apprehended and the phone was retrieved. But please tell me, are our prisons, reformatories or breeding grounds? For a man standing trial for armed robbery to rob right inside the court is amazing. For prison officials to connive with inmates under whatever guise is most reprehensible. http://www.authorityngr.com/2016/02/Reformatory-or-breeding-grounds-/ |
· Ubah’s magic working already as Dollar dips to N305 after his challenge The Chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Services Limited, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, on Tuesday staked his N500 billion assets on his proposal to the Federal Government to stem the free fall of the Naira against the Dollar. Ubah said if given the opportunity by the government, he would halt the slide of the national currency and bring it back to N200 to the dollar within one month. The billionaire businessman, who addressed journalists in Abuja, backed President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision against devaluing the Naira, noting that such move would not augur well for the economy. He stated that it was wrong to blame the fall of the Naira on low price of crude oil in the international market, insisting that other major oil exporting countries were not facing similar challenge with their national currency. Ubah said if he failed to fulfil his pledge, government was free to take over his assets. He therefore called on the government to make him its chief consultant on financial stability, stressing that he would work with any government agency or groups including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to achieve his target. Indeed, Ubah’s magic seems to have started working already. The Naira had been trading at N385 to the dollar at the black market in the last few days. However, within 48 hours of Ubah’s challenge to bring the dollar down to N200 within one month, if mandated by the Federal Government, the Dollar dipped significantly yesterday, trading at N305 in some bureau de change outfits within the Federal Capital Territory. “This shows that the scarcity was artificial. The masses, especially traders, are suffering. Some traders are almost packing up their things to go home, because of the high cost of foreign exchange which is crippling their businesses. Those manipulating and benefitting from the foreign exchange racket should be fished out and punished,” Chief Ubah said. He explained that having built the Capital Oil and Gas Services Limited to a position where it now accounts for 34 percent of Nigeria’s daily consumption of petroleum products, through his ingenuity, and without any form of waiver, grant or concession from the government, he was ready to assist the country to stabilize the economy by growing the value of the Naira. According to him, “I want to reiterate my earlier my proposition to the Federal Government about my capacity to bring down the value of the Naira. It is not about who is Ifeanyi Ubah, what can he offer, it is about creative thinking. “Nine years ago I created a structure at 36 years in the downstream of the nation’s oil sector that contributes close to 35 percent of the nation’s oil use. That record has not been broken and one thing the nation lacks is competitive governance as they all rely on Abuja to share money at the end of every month. “There is no more creative thinking, nobody is thinking out of the box. Governors rely on the centre for their sustenance but they must have to develop on their as the centre cannot sustain their needs. “I have four cardinal points that will help in stabilizing the Naira and I am one of the very few people that helped Nigeria and saved the nation on several occasions”. Ubah stressed that since he appeared on Channels TV to make the proposal last Sunday, the Naira has appreciated tremendously, a clear indication “that this freefall of the Naira is artificial and could be better managed with honesty and ingenuity”. “I am saying that I pledge every asset of mine into my proposal, if I fail to bring a dollar to N200 within 30 days, the federal government should seize everything I have. I thank Mr. President for not heeding the advice to devalue the Naira. I thank him and he should remain firm because nothing has changed. “Yes, we have issues with dwindling prize of oil but that is not even it. Other states have it, Dubai have it, and have their money gone beyond 3.65 to the dollar that it has been in the last 20 years? Is there any other magic they are using? Is their foreign reserve depleting? “No, let us be frank, it is all about re-engineering the economic sector of Nigeria, management of Nigerian industries and at the same time, supporting those who really need support, who can contribute towards economic growth of Nigeria than supporting monopoly”, he added http://www.authorityngr.com/2016/02/N200-PER-DOLLAR-PROPOSAL--Ifeanyi-Ubah-stakes-N500bn-assets/

It has been confirmed that the unknown whereabouts of the embattled leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, was because he was flown out of Nigeria to France for treatment of gunshot injuries he suffered during the encounter between his supporters and members of the Nigerian Army last year. It would be recalled that during the bloody encounter between members of the Shiites and the Nigerian Army, several members of the sect were killed while many others sustained various degrees of injuries with some still on admission at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Shika near Zaria. According to Vanguard, the fracas occurred when members of the sect allegedly blocked the Zaria-sokoto road and prevented the convoy of the chief of Army staff from passing through despite several entreaties. Sheikh El-Zakzaky allegedly sustained several gunshot wounds with some reports claiming that one of his eyes was affected during the encounter. Since the clash between the sect and the Military, his whereabouts has been shrouded in secrecy until it was revealed that he was moved from Kaduna to a safe house in Abuja belonging to one of the security services. Several security sources who are knowledgeable in the matter however revealed that due to the seriousness of the injuries the Shiite leader sustained, he was secretly flown to France by the Nigerian government some weeks ago for treatment before being returned to the country two weeks ago. One of the sources said: “it is true that the federal government flew him out of the country for treatment. He was stabilized before he was brought back to Nigeria. The government did not want to take chances by keeping him in the country. We did not want a repeat of the incidence with the late leader of the Boko Haram movement whose death in custody exacerbated the crisis in the north east”. http://capitalpost.com.ng/fg-secretly-flies-el-zakzaky-to-france-for-treatment-back-to-abuja/ |

Dr. Kolade told President Buhari that the committee was out to promote philanthropy nationwide, and to encourage organizations and individuals to use their resources to help others. “As father of the nation, we want you to be our Grand Patron, so that you can give us the benefit of your support for the things we do. Your integrity and credibility will serve us in good stead,” Dr. Kolade said. As its fortunes dwindled due to falling oil prices, Royal Dutch Shell Plc is to sack 10,000 people in an effort to bolster margins. Shell’s drive to improve competitive performance is delivering at the bottom line. Operating costs have reduced by $4 billion, or around 10 per cent in 2015, and the company expects Shell’s costs to fall again in 2016 by a further $3 billion. Synergies from the BG combination will be in addition to that. Together, these actions will include a reduction of some 10,000 staff and direct contractor positions in 2015-16 across both companies, as streamlining and integration of the two companies continue. When Shell announces its results on 4 February 2016, Shell’s fourth quarter 2015 earnings on a current cost of supplies (“CCS”) basis excluding identified items are expected to be in the region of $1.6–1.9 billion. This includes Upstream of $0.4–0.5 billion, of which Integrated Gas some $1.6–1.9 billion, and Downstream of $1.4–1.6 billion, of which oil products some $1.3–1.4 billion and chemicals some $0.1–0.2 billion. PassingShot:You seem to forget so quick. Have you forgotten that during the GEJ's administration, he and NOI initiated and kicked start the sovereign wealth fund which Rotimi Amaechi who was the then Head of Governor's forum sued the FG to court and demanded the sharing of the Excess Crude Account. Part of the money the FG wanted to use to invest in the SWF. Secondly, the GEJ's administration also left about $2bn in the Excess Crude Account. Will the APC administration say that they didnt meet that money in the ECA? Keep on complaining and keep on blaming the GEJ's administration like as if that is what Nigerians voted and elected the APC administration for and by 2019, we will kick you out of governance for your gross incompetence. |
A group under the aegis of the Anambra Youth Vanguard (AYV) has raised alarm over the depraved plan by the Governor of the Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano to divert funds to the tune of N10 billion collected from the Central Bank of Nigeria on friday under the guise of Infrastructural grant and paid into Fidelity bank PLC. The group’s coordinator, Comrade Ndubuisi Okeke, who made this assertion on saturday said that the N10 billion collected by Governor Willie Obiano for infrastructural development faces a pertinent question: Will this grant be used for infrastructural development or diverted by Obiano for his selfish and cancerous agenda in preparation for his re-election? The group also pointed that Governor Obiano’s financial management skills are highly questionable. “From all indications, the major preoccupation of the current Anambra Government led by Governor Willie Obiano is reelection. He has already set the wheels in motion in a bid to retain his seat, giving birth to the latest grant of N10 billion he just secured from the Central Bank of Nigeria last friday, and same was deposited into Fidelity bank PLC. With his high level of financial irresponsibility, mismanagement and recklessness, it is clear to see why Governor Obiano needs this money and what he intends to do with it. He has started pooling funds meant for the infrastructural development of the state and storing same for electioneering campaigns. Before him, Ex-Governors Peter Obi and Chris Ngige never borrowed. Peter Obi even left a whooping sum of N75 billion which he, Governor Obiano has squandered to the last kobo. He has gone borrowing from left to right. Governor Obiano should and must tell Anambrarians what the N10billion grant he collected from the Central Bank is meant for and how he intends to spend it. Ndi Anambra need to see his action plan. He needs to be held accountable because his impunity is becoming unbecoming and shocking. Borrowing for Politics as against development will torment future development of Anambra and we call Governor Obiano to rethink what he has set out to do”, Okeke asserted. The group also called on all Anambra youths to join in the fight against corruption in Anambra state and lend their voices to the demand for accountability, transparency and financial responsibility. It further reiterated its resolve to keep educating the good people of Anambra state on governance and what to demand from it. http://www.thebreakingtimes.com/money-for-politics-or-infrastructural-development-as-gov-obiano-receives-n10-billion-grant/

Nigeria made a mistake in voting this incompetent daura President Buhari as a President. No wonder the economy is suffering and gradually shrinking from what GEJ built it to earlier. The man should be impeached. |
Again, I got my hand into some juicy information that I will like to share with you all. It is a comparison between the 2015 budget/2016 budgets. Ijaya123:When did you see worse under PDP regime? Nigerians are now seeing in between the APC lies and deceit. You aint talking to ignorant people and nomadic herdsmen who didnt go to school. |
babosky2008:You are a big lying liar. |
Bevista:Thank God,you've used your own hand to list out the worst that may happen if crude oil sells for $20.So keep on blaming GEJ and dont advice your APC leaders to do the right thing and lead Nigeria to the path of greatness because the public also know that your APC is also looting and raping the economy dry.Examples,Governor Aregbesola of Osun State and Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State. After 4 years, we shall kick your party out of the presidency for there incompetency in governance. |
@Deji Adeyanju, nice one bros. This will make all those PDP politicians to sit up and realize that there party supporters are not happy with how they support and commend the APC administration, even when the world know that there is nothing the administration have achieved through out the last seven month except for chaos, economy depreciation, loss of job in the land, unlawful killings of innocent citizens by the military and unending fuel scarcity that has lasted for over 5 weeks now. More power to your elbow bros. It is good to know that we still have great politicians in our great party. PDP!!!! Power to the People. |
grafikii:The State you are from,do they have any project at all? What has your governor done for your people? |
Gabros will surely fail in his wicked act. Nobody eats his cake and have it back. |
In a petition written to the Nigerian Police by the people of Nza Ozubulu in Ekwusigo LGA over the illegal sale of their land currently a subject of litigation before the Supreme court, the youths of Nza Ozubulu vowed to tell the world how Chief Gabriel Chukwuma has been intimidating them for over 16 years, keeping them in Nnewi High Court in a suit brought against him by the people of Nza Ozubulu. They have also vowed to tell the world how Chief Chukwuma has been boasting of buying over the judiciary. Little wonder their case against Gabros in Nnewi High Court has remained inconclusive and undecided for over 16 years while they have gotten judgment in their favour at the appeal court on a suit filed at the same time However, there was an unpleasant turn of events yesterday morning in Nnewi. Reports reaching Breaking Times reveal that Chief Gabriel Chukwuma was arrested and interrogated after he flouted a court order restraining him, his agents, servants, privies by whatever name called and howsoever described from interfering, impeding, obstructing the new FC Ifeanyi Ubah stadium which is situated on the said land in dispute. We gather that he was later released with a stern warning by the Police against flouting court orders. We were able to obtain exclusive pictures of Chief Gabriel Chukwuma at the site of the FC Ifeanyi Ubah's new stadium. See pictures after the cut which captures Chief Chukwuma's encounter with the Nigerian Police.

...Faces Jail term for obtaining false pretence. A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has granted the request from the proprietor of FC Ifeanyi Ubah, to restrain Chief Gabriel Chukwuma from interfering with the rights of Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and FC Ifeanyi Ubah to operate as a football club and participate in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). Recall that Chief Gabriel Chukwuma, who sold Gabros Football Club and its stadium to Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, had claimed that he has taken control of the club and was making preparations to participate in the forthcoming season. The court restrained Chief Chukwuma, his agents, servants, privies by whatever name called and howsoever described from interfering, impeding, obstructing or otherwise disturbing the plaintiffs (Dr Ubah and FC Ifeanyi Ubah) in their exclusive use of the Club's football stadium pending the hearing and determination of the suit. Specifically, the plaintiffs had through their Counsel Babalola Akinwunmi, gone to the Court asking the court for an order restraining the defendant Chief Chukwuma from interfering with or impeding with their rights to operate as a football club and to participate in the Nigerian football league or other relevant football activities within or outside Nigeria pending the hearing and determination of the suit. They also sought for an interlocutory order restraining the defendant, his agents, servants, privies and whatsoever from interfering, impeding, obstructing or otherwise disturbing the plaintiffs in the exclusive use of the club's stadium pending the hearing and determination of the suit. The court presided over by Justice Valentine Ashi after listening to Akinwunmi on Friday, granted all the reliefs sought and fixed definite hearing on the matter for March 1st, 2015. http://www.authorityngr.com/2015/12/Court-restrains-Gabros-from-interfering-with-FC-Ifeanyi-Ubah-/ |
Not that I'm not in support of corruption. But, some of all these things that Dasuki is being accused of was exactly what Rotimi Amaechi did like wise in Rivers State (Using the State's money for election campaign). I may not have evidence to this accusation, but it is very obvious to Nigerians. The APC government may also play itself like this, but may be in another format come 2019. In my opinion, I feel the Buhari administration is taking this corruption fight too far and neglecting other pressing issues affecting the country. The Buhari administration should know and understand that what goes around comes around, and sometimes its best you let sleeeping Dogs lie because his administration also are not Saints in the eyes of Nigerians. There are other ways corruption can be fought instead of following it this way and taking it to the extreme because, I'm very certain that in the next election, The APC government will spend the country's money even more than they are accusing GEJ/PDP's administration election campaign and maybe for rigging too who knows. |
This should be on front page. Oga seun, abeg do the needful. |
The attention of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, has been drawn to the erroneous publication in today's New Telegraph newspapers and picked by the social media to the effect that Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, owned by top businessman, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah was suspended by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and also ordered to pay N10 million fine for allegedly selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise called petrol, above the official ex-depot price of N77.66 per liter. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is because the company that was affected is Capital Oil Petroleum Limited, not Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited. And the two companies have no affiliation whatsoever. It is a pity that Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, which is the leading champion of dispensing petroleum products at the approved prices, could be dragged into this report, even when the two companies are not the same, nor share common facility anywhere. When a news break, it is expected that journalists should not rush into reporting issues of this nature without, especially sensitive issues at a time when the nation is facing stiff difficulties. One had expected that any sensible journalist should first cross-check information brought to the newsroom before rushing to press with such high falutin but false information. This simple task would have cleared all doubts on this issue. The rule of journalism still remains: When in doubt, leave out. Or you simply cross-check, which is just a telephone call away. We implore those the authors and sponsors of this false information to please retract and correct the false impression created for the benefit of all right thinking Nigerians who have obviously been misled into believing the lie that Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited, may have been involved in any malfeasance.
