franchasofficia: Turkey is a fake European country to start with. They are neither here or there, so human right violation is normal in Turkey because it is not an EU country neither is Turkey a developed country to Japa to
Secondly, Turkey is struggling with unemployment and unstable economy and unstable currency just like Naira. Turkish Lira is a highly unstable currency. Going to Turkey with the hope of securing a job as a migrant is a big mistake for any Nigerian. You can only go to Turkey to shop, buy textile and fashion items to use or resell, not to live permanently and work for a living because there are no jobs in Turkey for most citizens of Turkey talk more of migrants abi immigrants.
Dear Nigerians, avoid the below countries in your permanent Japa move:
Cyprus Turkey Lebanon South Africa Spain unless you have a job offer Greece unless you have a job offer Italy unless you have a job offer Libya Russia India Malaysia Pakistan Vietnam unless you are going with a job to teach English Philippines Colombia let me add; Indonesia, Iran, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, Albania, Venezuela, Bolivia, Cambodia, Thailand, Lagos...infact anything outside western Europe, US, Canada, Australia and NZ...run |

Zxcvbnmghtr: Igbos don too suffer. Technology and information has now made it clear for the Igbos to distinguish between a riot against them vs others. Since the advancement of Technology from the mid 2000s we no longer hear Igbo riots why? Because the other Southern and Northern Christian tribes can now be differentiated. In the past the Jos killings and Southern Kaduna killing of Christians would have been an Igbo battle but now things are clearer and the Igbos can now communicate among themselves in real time. |

It is either you are Muslim or Death. The Igbo tribe being predominantly Christian will form the biggest resistance and accommodate other minority Christian tribes who are usually the biggest victim because they do not have a structure of resistance or information. Ask those massacred in Jos, Benue, Taraba, and Southern Kaduna if they are Igbos.. |

Crime › Family Of A Nigerian Man Killed In The US Seeks Help by SSpeter(op): 7:46pm On Jun 21, 2024 |
INDIANAPOLIS — The family of a delivery driver killed on the job on Indy’s north side is pleading for help solving the deadly shooting. Witnesses say the victim had dropped off some diapers at a home on 42nd Street while working for a delivery service called GoPuff. The victim then walked back to his car when he was shot and killed. The man was found by officers lying next to his parked car on East 42nd Street, on Saturday night just before midnight. “Somebody from nowhere shot him for no reason, for no just cause,” said the victim’s pastor Olushegun Akinniranye. “It’s so disturbing and embarrassing that that can happen.” 53-year-old Adesina Aderinwoye died after being taken to the hospital. Adesina Aderinwoye (photo provided) The victim had moved to Indiana from Nigeria and had taken a job delivering basic household items for GoPuff. “This guy doesn’t cause trouble,” said Akinniranye. “He was going about his duty as a delivery driver.” The fatal shooting took place right across the street from Saint Joan of Arc Catholic School, on a normally quiet section of East 42nd Street near Central Avenue. Because the victim had no criminal history and didn’t cause any trouble, his friends and family don’t understand why someone would kill him. “You know I was so shocked because my brother doesn’t fight with anybody. He doesn’t smoke. He doesn’t drink. He doesn’t do anything bad,” said the victim’s brother Adenekuni Aderinwoye. “He is so loved by everybody,” said Akinniranye. “People loved him. He’s a jovial man.” Aside from hearing the gunshots Saturday night, neighbors didn’t see who committed the crime or why. Whatever the reason for the violence, Aderinwoye leaves behind a large family who want his killer held accountable. “So what we are asking for is justice for this man who was killed just like that without any reason,” said Akinniranye. “I need justice. I don’t want somebody to kill him without anybody noticing. I need justice for him please,” said Aderinwoye. Police did not have any details on a suspect to release and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information about this incident should call Detective Swails at the IMPD Homicide Office at 317.327.3475 or e-mail the detective at Douglas.Swails@indy.gov. Alternatively, they can call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at 317.262.8477 or (TIPS) to remain anonymous. https://fox59.com/news/indycrime/family-of-indy-delivery-driver-killed-on-the-job-seeks-help-solving-deadly-shooting/amp/ |
Politics › Jihadis From Africa’s Sahel Have Crossed Into Nigeria’s North, A New Report Says by SSpeter(op): 7:34am On Jun 20, 2024 |
Jihadi fighters who had long operated in Africa’s volatile Sahel region have settled in northwestern Nigeria after crossing from neighboring Benin, a report said Wednesday, the latest trend in the militants’ movements to wealthier West African coastal nations. The extremists believed to be linked to al-Qaida have in the last year crossed over from Benin’s hard-hit northern region and settled in Kainji Lake National Park, one of Nigeria’s largest, where other armed groups have also gained access, according to the report by the Clingendael Institute think tank, which has done extensive research in the Sahel. Residents close to the park told The Associated Press that the facility, which holds one of West Africa’s fast-declining lion populations, has been closed for more than a year because of security threats from armed groups attacking neighboring villages and roads. "Before, it was like a tourism center (but) now, people find it difficult to pass through there,” said John Yerima, who lives near the park in New Bussa town. “You cannot enter that road (leading to the park) now. It is dangerous, seriously.” https://apnews.com/article/nigeria-sahel-africa-jihadi-extremism-benin-cd845a1a320e6083688408afc923381f |
Islam › Re: At Least 550 Muslims Die At Hajj - As Temperatures At Mecca Hit 51.8C by SSpeter(op): 7:15am On Jun 20, 2024 |
SSpeter: At least 550 people have died during the Hajj pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca in the scorching heat, it has been reported.
Temperatures reached at least 51.8C (125F) in the shade in the Saudi Arabian city, as huge crowds of Muslims undertook the annual religious journey - one of the five pillars of Islam.
"Hajj is a difficult task, so you have to exert efforts and perform the rituals even in the conditions of heat and crowding," an Egyptian pilgrim said.
Pilgrims used umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun, as Saudi authorities warned pilgrims to stay hydrated and avoid being outdoors during the hottest hours between 11am and 3pm.
Stampedes, tent fires and other accidents have caused hundreds of deaths during the Hajj in the past 30 years. Some 240 people reportedly died last year.
This year's pilgrimage began on Friday and as usual coincided with the religious holiday, Eid al-Adha.
Dozens of deaths have been reported during this year's Hajj, with the AFP news agency putting the total at 550, citing diplomats.
Some 323 of the dead were Egyptians, most of whom perished due to heat related illness, AFP said.
A 2024 study by the Journal of Travel and Medicine found that rising global temperatures may outpace strategies to deal with the heat. A 2019 study by Geophysical Research Letters said that as temperatures rise in arid Saudi Arabia due to climate change, pilgrims performing Hajj will face "extreme danger".
A Saudi health official, speaking on Monday before many of the reports of deaths were issued, said authorities had not noticed any unusual fatalities among Muslim pilgrims amid the extremely high temperatures.
The ministry had so far treated more than 2,700 pilgrims who suffered from heat-related illness, he added.

Stop displaying your ignorance, that is not a concrete road it is a solid ground floor. Instead of using laterite to fill the road, they are making a solid ground floor, afterwards, the road will be tarred. Seek knowledge! |

Dogalmighty17: Quacks. Better not to have used any concrete at all than do have used what they did up there. When people hear concrete for road they think it is just ordinary mix and pour. Concrete has grades and different mix types. The least acceptable concrete grade is M30 which what they are doing up there is no where close to. I doubt when this concrete sets it can take up to 2000 psi. it is you who is ignorant, that is not a concrete road, that is a solid ground floor, the road will be tarred. The underlying soil is weak, hence they will make a solid ground floor before tarring |

Na them go lose last last Total European funds in Russia is less than 50bn euros, and it is not held in form of a reserve or financial securities, rather it is simply FDI from individuals and large corporations. Politics › Permit Threat: Russia Forces Students From Nigeria, Africa To Fight In Ukraine by SSpeter(op): 9:46am On Jun 12, 2024 |
Russia has added extra manpower for its offensive in Kharkiv Oblast, forcing “thousands of migrants and foreign students” some of who could be Nigerians, to fight alongside its troops in its war against Ukraine, Bloomberg reported on June 9, citing unnamed European officials. Moscow launched a new offensive on May 10 in Kharkiv Oblast, where it reportedly managed to advance as far as 10 kilometers (6 miles) before Ukraine halted the advance near the first line of defense. On June 8, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian troops had failed their Kharkiv Oblast offensive. According to the Bloomberg report, Russian officials have been threatening African students and young workers not to extend their visas unless “they agree to join the military.” Such a tactic was first deployed by the Russian Wagner mercenary group, Bloomberg reported. While Russia has also been enlisting convicts, some Africans on work visas “have been detained and forced to decide between deportation or fighting,” Bloomberg cited an anonymous European official. “Some of those people had been able to bribe officials to stay in the country and still avoid military service,” the report reads. This is not the first time the Russian military is reported to have started bringing prisoners, migrants, and foreign nationals into its ranks. Last September, the U.K. Defense Ministry reported that Russia was stepping up its campaign to recruit foreigners in neighboring countries and exploited migrant workers for its war against Ukraine. The push to recruit foreigners and migrant workers “allows the Kremlin to acquire additional personnel for its war effort in the face of mounting casualties,” the ministry said. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2024/06/work-permit-threat-russia-forces-students-from-nigeria-africa-to-fight-in-ukraine/amp/ |
