I don't have technical knowledge I have always hated practicals even in secondary school would spend my time deriving formulas to give me the experiment results
You may not be fully engaged in the practical and all, you can take them Economics, Commerce, etc..Moreover, your presence will motivate the teachers and make them sit up. I have volunteered briefly at the local secondary school in my larger community, the last time I visited Nigeria. I was able to give small packages to some students that showed exceptional potential. Hahaahaah, just like Governors and ministers abi? My expression wasn't an assumption but what I know very well. From senior manager and above only go with their status cars when exiting.
A senior manager and an AGM who is higher? I left banking on a manager grade and I left with a status car of 18m. My car was renewable every 4years. An AGM during my time gets a new Prado of 60m. A senior manager gets a status car of 30m. All cars were renewable after every 4years.

Say that again! The job of banking generally is a zero sum game irrespective of cadre;payment of bills are quite easy but reasonable progress is not made in terms wealth building, family union or mental health. In one of the old generation banks an Assistant General Manager was fired and immediately it became obvious that he was penniless.
Do you know how much an AGM earn monthly? An AGM that is entitled to a Prado every 4years? Bros calm down
CareerRe: For Those Earning Over ₦1,000,000 Monthly, What Do You Do To Secure Such Income? by SSpeter(m): 10:44am On Jan 20, 2025
Nazgul:
Yet another braggat.

The question I asked is so simple that even a primary school student can easily answer it.

No one cares if you earn 100m a month. Just list Nigerian owned companies that pay their staffs 1m above. Simple as ABC. Una go de brag up and down.

Have you ever worked in the cooperate world before? To even see 500k there and collect sef na war. And you're here saying you know over 50 people earning over 1m.

Even for foreign companies, if you remove oil companies how many foreign companies can you point that pays up to 1m? Microsoft that even hit the 1m mark has left the country. How many are left. Huge companies like Twitter and Facebook don't have physical offices in Nigeria. So what are you saying?

If you can't name the companies, don't quote me.
When I worked at AFC ( African finance corporation) some years back a lot of the analyst earned over 2m monthly

ArcFresky:
It’s the tragedy of Nigeria.
Illegality upon illegality.

EFCC raid a suspect, like thieves in the night, with no safety gear, no warrant.

Suspect shoots without thinking, with an illegal gun. (Illegal because it was licensed to his father, not him)

Operative gets rushed to hospital, no doctor. A whole govt hospital, 0 doctors and 2 nurses?
As long as the Gun was licensed, it was meant for the safety of the home. If the son had used the gun outside the house then it becomes suspicious
PoliticsRe: Tax Bills: Tinubu Hails Govs As Ndume Rejects 30% VAT Formula by SSpeter(m): 1:19pm On Jan 18, 2025
zero8zero:
The 13% oil derivation, is it not the FG that's spending money drilling the oil?, how much is state governors spend in drilling the oil?.
Do you mean the oil wells that are owned by wealthy Nigerians??
PoliticsRe: Tax Bills: Tinubu Hails Govs As Ndume Rejects 30% VAT Formula by SSpeter(m): 1:18pm On Jan 18, 2025
zero8zero:
Ali Ndume is an enemy of progress, having failed to get the bills withdrawn, he is proposing a further reduction in the VAT derivation.
The current derivation is 20%, the President proposes 60%, the Governors are proposing 30% , Ali Ndume is proposing 10% -13%.
When a state generates income and receives 60% of it , what's wrong in that? but Governors are saying any state that generates income should collect only 30% while they share the remaining among themselves, even more sad is the illiterate Ali Ndume suggesting a mere 10% as derivation while they sit their lazy ass to share the rest. We are patiently waiting for the public hearing and what the Senate will finally pass into law.
should oil producing states also keep 60% or 30% of their derivation?

The Igbo race is not one homogeneous race Abi?
That means there are Yoruba & probably Fulani & Hausa descendants among you that have adopted Igbo right? grin
...of course, Onitsha was founded by the Ados and binis, if you meet the obi Onitsha, which I have had the privilege of meeting he will tell you the true origin. The Aniomas and Onitsha use the term "Obi" for Kingship which is a derivative of "Oba" which is influenced by their closeness to the west...if you go further south you see "Eze" which is distinct from "Obi" and if you go north you see "Igwe" which is distinct from those in the South. That is why wherever the Igbo migrates, he forms a new settlement. Which is why you hear Eze Ndigbo in Lagos, Kano etc ..hence if you speak Igbo and share our custom and values...you are Igbo

For the fact that a bat chose to fly & associate with birds, doesn't remove the fact that it's not a bird but a mammal.

For the fact that some Ikwerre folks chose to associate with Igbos, speak Igbo & even head Igbo organisations, does not make remove the fact that they are not Igbos but Benin descendants.
The Igbo race is not one homogeneous people. Different descendants came down to the region and settled there. Thereafter adopting Igbo as their identity. A neighbouring town in my community bears "Ife" of course they were a descendants from the other side of the Niger but today they are Igbos. There are descendants from almost every area of southern Nigeria that migrated to the region, which also explains our lack of Kingship. There is no one Igbo ancestor, rather we have a conurbation of settlements that were geographically defined as Igbo

Lol. Ikwerres say they are not Igbos but from Benin.

Basically, it means the bins are the leaders of the igbos now or what?

The binis are the leaders of the yorubas, and now the igbos. Oba gha tor kpe he.
The Bini kingdom was the first organized kingdom in Southern Nigeria. Hence the Bini kingdom influenced almost every other kingdom in Southern Nigeria

Still don't understand how some Ikwerres who bear Igbo names & speak Igbo as mother tongue, claim they are not Igbos. 🤔
During the war, Igbos in the hinterlands dealt with other ethnic groups in the South (Igbo speaking included) blaming them sabotaging the war effort. Also after the war, everyone blamed the Igbos, hence Igbos in the South quickly disassociate themselves to avoid being attacked by other ethnic groups in the South.

FreeStuffsNG:
Fierce winds reaching speeds of over 60 mph fueled devastating wildfires across Los Angeles, stretching from one end of the city to Pasadena, an hour's drive away. The city’s historic synagogue, which had served the community for over 100 years, was also devastated in the fire, including a kindergarten building that was completely consumed by flames. "Our center is gone," said CEO Melissa Levy in a phone interview. "But right now, we’re more focused on our members, many of whom lost their homes or are terrified their houses will burn. We’ll think about rebuilding later."

The damage from the fires is estimated at $57 billion, including property destruction and economic losses.

Please don't blame Hamas and the Muslims for this please.
May God console all those who lost to this monumental destruction.
BBO's " The Most High God" right now on my mind. The foundation of the throne of God is righteousness and justice. God is on His throne.

The largest and most destructive fires in Los Angeles' history continue to wreak havoc and spread to new neighborhoods. Over 130,000 people have been evacuated from their homes, leaving behind all their belongings with no certainty of having a home to return to. Among the evacuees are dozens of Israelis living in Pacific Palisades, Altadena, Pasadena and Hollywood Hills.

Emphasis on The largest and most destructive fires in Los Angeles' history continue to wreak havoc and spread to new neighborhoods. . US and Israel elites will not enjoy or have what they are denying of the Palestinians and Isreali hostages held captive in Gaza.

They didn't see it coming that hell will move from Gaza to Hollywood, Los Angeles Jewish synagogues and highbrow areas for their high and mighty. This God ehn, fear Him!
Relax all the homes are insured. Most even have both home and content insurance. It is the insurance companies I pity...

EducationRe: Is Nigeria Certificate Useful Outside The Country? by SSpeter(m): 3:26pm On Dec 27, 2024
Infotubia9ja:
Good question..

I hope I try to explain this as much understandable as I can for you.

You see all those doctors here in Nigeria right, they are not doctors when the relocate abroad. They get jobs as home care aid to nursing sick people. That is a different occupation far far from practicing as a doctor in America or Canada or UK.
Infact you can as well apply to be a home care assistant as well with your university degree from Nigeria which is considered a normal equivalent to diploma here. You just have to pass the nursing exam which I know a 200level university student from Nigeria can read the Q&A and pass as well.
What you do is simply take care of old people or mentally unstable people and make sure they don't poop on their self or when they do you change them and also make sure they take their meds regularly and also monitor them so they don't harm their self.
Anybody can do that job infact that is equivalent to a factory job if you don't know only this time you be more careful because you handling a human life and can be arrested and you go to jail if you flop because it is stated there in your agreement you sign before you start working.

If you want to be a doctor in these countries, you have to apply for a medical or a nursing program/ degree where you undergo the process from the begining according to the countries teaching regulations and standards, pass the necessary exams, go for your training practice, write another exam if you fail you have to retake it which happens very often because I have friends who it has happened to. Then luckily you pass them you go under the process to be a certified nurse or doctor depending on the field you choose.

I hope you get the point now. Merry Xmas and season greetings.
Stop typing nonsense
